One thing i like about one piece is that the world is alive, i mean even if the protagonist is not in a certain place, the story continues going on in that place, and i also like that the concept of good and bad is hard to tell. Luffy is a pirate, but he does good things like liberating countries from slavery, while the world goverment is not exactly the good guys. The world of one piece is so well made that it kinda feels like the real world, with so many serious topics, the complexity of the world...
my absolute favourite part about one piece is not the stuff that gets it hailed as such an amazing story but simply, luffy's smile. its contagious. everytime I see it, I just find myself smiling too. it makes me happy, just seeing him happy with that big goofy grin. I'm not talking about his exited smile that he gets when he's gonna go into a fight tho, I'm talking about his happy smile he gets when he's with his friends. the smile that's generally accompanies with his little "shishishi" laugh.
I like the unique characteristics of the population of One Piece. How the straw hats grow and change yet stay the same. How there are as many questions still left to answer. How real life issues and in story issues mirror each other at time's. Overall my favorite anime to date.
I love the depth of the world building and planting of foreshadowing that doesn’t take effect till much later. The author clearly has a plan for the story in mind and doesn’t mind setting up things that pay off in the end.
there is a lot of filler in the numeric sense but a lot of that stems from just how long the series has been running compared to other series however, the ratio of filler to canon episodes is much more skewed towards to canon than other shonen, though the unfortunate side effect of that is cases where some episodes drag on for obscenely long periods of time which makes the pacing of the story jarringly inconsistent in some places
I love everything in One Piece, seriously, like the plot is gorgeus, the characters are done and they have o nice backstory. The animation is also nice. Ooo and the scene when you see Goku or other charakter similar to goku these are special episodes.
There is quite a bit of filler in the anime, however, it's not usually Filler episodes. There might be 15 filler episodes, but most of the filler is in the middle of the episodes. After episode 900, the filler is actually important good stuff, and the animation is just as good if not more entertaining than the manga!
hio if you want to know a little bit more about the enviroment of all the plaises they visit i reccoment "the breathtaking world of One Piece" it show a lot of beautifull places. Other things you can watch are "the apeal of One piece where to start" or " why you shoud watch /read One Piece" both are great videos (even if they a little bit outdated) both videos contains some spoilers but they are really good.
As for filler, I would say there's below 100 episodes of filler, there's a few arcs early on that are filler, and they gradually fade out. Aside from some small specials and such, the last filler I can think of was around the 600 to 700 mark.
Probably around 60 maybe 70 full filler episodes... Lots of padding in a lot of episodes meaning scenes are longer in the anime than they were in the manga... by now we get the beginning of the episode around minute 5 in average... The plot is still the same... find the one piece... But it has never become dull... somehow it makes sense and the hype grows with every new place they get too instead of dying down... Totally worth watching and by the time you catch up you feel like it NEEDS to run for a lot longer... never that it is too much already
Theres not a lot of Filler, But they do stretch out many scenes after a point of the story so they don't catch up to the manga. Look up "one piece kai" or "One Pace" If you want to get everything that's essential to the story Otherwise you can always read the manga too. Advantage of the Manga is that Oda likes to tell side stories of the other characters through the first panel of each chapter to help with the world building. 100% recommend going through the story though Every little detail is slowly built up over time and once you catch up everything will begin to make sense. We're only just starting to get into the bigger mysteries of the series in the current issues of the Manga too so theres no better time to start than the present.

I say this a lot, if one piece had a more serious art style it would not have been able to air in a young adult magazine (original comic) the story is bloody, dark, and deals with almost every major issue you can think of, it gets away with all this thanks to a cartoony art style which represents the main character’s more singular focus on the thrill of adventure
A number of those episodes are filler. A little over 100 are. For 1040+ episodes that's great imo. Plus it's not a seasonal anime so that makes that even more impressive.
If you watch one peice trust me you, gonna love it, its an masterpiece created by Eichiro Oda, one peice has everything, its very dark if you watch you will understand, i myself watched 4 times, never get fooled by happy openings and visualsits much more of that, one peice don't jave lots of filler episode, the series is ongoing currently on the episode 1039 and manga chapter 1065
World building and back stories are the best parts and anime has less than 60 episodes filler. G8 arc and a couple of episodes to promote the films are only real filler in it rest are canon from manga.

Cool video, but I think most people want to be able to watch along with you and that includes with volume.. And your volume is so quiet that you would hear almost nothing coming from my TV turned up to 25 out of 75 steps, which is more than enough volume for everything else I watch.

My favorite thing with the show is that it knows when to be silly and when to be dead serious, and does it well.

Compared to Naruto which is like 30% filler, One Piece is like around 2% filler.

Now the 99 episode are the filler. It's a 9.5% of all episodes haha

One piece has like 100 episodes of filler out of the 1064 episodes it currently has so there is not very much filler at all
