  • I know we all hate going to the gas station right now, but Buc-EE'S could very well change your mind. While driving from Fairhope, Alabama to Pensacola, Florida recently, my husband and I stopped at the Buc-EE's gas station/convenience store in Baldwin County. I had never been to a Buc-EE's before and to say I was so blown away with how big it was and how much there was to see inside, is an understatement. We ended up spending an hour and a half there. Just for fun, we thought we'd shoot some video and take you along. If you've been there before, let me know in the comments which location and what you thought of it. I'd love to hear from you.

My wife and I took a road-trip from AZ to TN and down to AL and back through Texas and NM during the first few weeks of Covid. Honestly one of our favorite memory is Bucees. It was huge and quiet and those bathrooms are immaculate. What we didn’t know was how hard it would be online to buy a souvenir tshirt. If you go to a Bucees, buy your souvenir there because Bucees does not do online apparel retail.

That's funny you should say that because I later regretted not buying a couple of things I saw when we first got there. I knew I couldn't bring back anything too big because it had to fit in my suitcase, but I definitely wanted a T-shirt. I just got lost in all the food and forgot to go back for it.

Marcy I live in Saraland Al so visit Bucees often. Your right they started in Texas just glad we have one here. Being a Native Texan I do like their brisket and my grandson loves to go see the store. The seafood is great here on the gulf coast but being from West Texas I miss TexMex and good brisket. Bucees helps. Only wish we had great Mexican food here. I grew up eating Texas Mex and New Mexico’s flare on Mexican as we had a house in Rhodesia and brothers lining in Albuquerque so it a real let down here going to eat Mexican. Therefore I watch your channel and make my own. Feels like being at home. Thank you

I bet it's beautiful in Saraland. (I just looked up where it is on the map.) We spent some time in Fairhope and I absolutely fell in love with it. I told my husband I could live there, although I'm not used to the humidity. But it really is gorgeous. Thanks for watching my videos. I'm thrilled that you've found a little taste of home in them. 😊❤

My wife and I stopped at Buc'ees in Alabama on our way to Gulf Shores from Mobile. We discovered a wonderful destination stop. Gulf Shores is beautiful and Buc'ees gives us one more reason to stop and splurge. Clean bathrooms are a bonus. My Yukon Buc'ees coffee cup is used everyday. Don't forget to pick up bags of ice for only $1.00 just outside the store. They had the cheapest gas in the area and the employees seemed to all be pleasant and enjoy their jobs. Fountain drinks are cheap. What else can I say? We have Gulf Shores AL on our return list to visit and a stop at Buc-ees will be on our route. It's a fun store with lots of things to buy so build a Buc'ees stop into your budget. It's cheaper than a trip to Costco but both are money savers! We love Buc-ees.

Inspired by videos I had seen on u-tube and a couple of my friends' personal accounts, I decided last week to take my best friend up on his offer to fly out to Texas and see the LARGEST Buc--ees. I was gob-smacked. I raved about it upon my return, but then just this last Thursday my friend and I decided to visit one that was closer to our home to wit: one in Georgia and the other in St. Augustine. Now here is the tricky part. All of them were about the same. Even the size difference did not really matter. So, after spending 250.00 in each of the three stores, I am an expert. Have fun there.

    • @marcyinspired1442

That's what my husband said when we went! They're really smart about marketing, too. The fact that they let us run around recording everything with our cell phone is brilliant. Most businesses would have stopped us, but they know that it will likely turn into free advertising. Also, not to ramble, but their prices are good. 69 cents for a bag of ice! Wish we had thought of it, too!

It must the grand opening of this location if it is that popular, even if it is a few days old now. I wonder if the lines were long at the restrooms, especially for the women’s restroom.
I have seen that another video where the woman who went in there with a camera when it was not that busy, said she liked it in there with plenty of stalls and the great feeling of complete privacy in the stall and hand sanitizer to use on her hands when leaving the stall, Mens room certainly has plenty of urinals if you just need to do a number one in there.
I have said here that some of these Buc-ee’s would do well in California as there are a few places that can use locations out such as Blythe where I-10 goes through, Needles, off of the I-40, Barstow where the I-15, I-40, and State Highway 58 all met up at, Arvin, off of the I-5 north of the Grapevine Area, one outside of Fresno for where state highway 99 goes through, one outside of Sacramento, the state capital, outside of the San Francisco Bay Area, outside of Los Angeles, San Diego, and one in Northern California just before the Oregon Boarder.
I am not sure if they will expand out west here to California but I guess all we can do is just wait and see if it really happens.

Next time you go on a road trip on I-10 to Alabama, you need to stop off in Scott, LA and hit up Billy's Boudin (also Don's Specialty Meat's is a good one). Get some real Cajun Boudin (pork/rice/spices soft sausage) and cracklins! Try the regular and crawfish boudin and boudin balls with pepperjack cheese in the center. You'll thank me later 😄
