Well maybe because jeep and chrysler are trying to copy others and look premium. In 2005 chrysler looked just like bentley now it looks like rolls Royce. Chrysler can't come up with anything themselves

benz is getting there so we'll see. who knows what mercedes are capable of in the next 5 or 10 years but atm the modern S63 looks so sexy from inside and out!!!!

1990Thunderbolt Mercedes all ready failed to make a car at the Rolls Royce or Bentley level. They gave up so they won't be trying again anytime soon

It already had unmissable road presence with its sheer size alone, but now with the edition of LED headlamps, this car could literally be seen by a blind man. @ AutoGuide - Great review and lovely road to drive the Ghost Series II. I'm from Dallas and on occasion I enjoy taking my car out along FM455/E Chapman Road at the southern end of Lake Ray Roberts. Recognized that stretch of pavement right away.

I just got mine with a dark silver blue and a black leather interior with blue trim. but I'm getting it repainted because the silver blue looked better in my head. I have it with a custom panels inside (carbon fiber) custom black leather seats with blue trim. outside wheels are full custom carbon fiber with the Royce emblem on them in platinum. the grill is also platinum with the pure gold hood ornament. my new color will be black in center with a pearlescent blue silver combo. I'm also adding gold foil to the engine bay to maximize heat reduction.

Seems pretty ridiculous but I like the interior on the Hyundai Genesis 2015 better than the one found on the Rolls Royce.

Pay the extra for a Chauffeur driver, let him worry about the parking and security problems. Nothing says rich like being delivered and picked up from the front door.

It has no need to be any more powerful. The delivery is incredibly linear, and way more than anyone might expect for such a heavy car.

Those air vents aren't mechanical. They are made to feel mechanical but they are just ELECTRIC
I doubt that there is a car that will give you a more comfortable ride. Personally I want a nice combination of comfort and driving dynamics, which is why I lust after a Porsche 911 Turbo S. But if I were to be a passenger going on a long road trip, the Rolls would be the ultimate car for the job.
Nice episode. You should have did some burn outs or drifted to showoff the BMW powered machine before they ban you test it for life.
If I were able to choose between a Rolls Royce and a Ferrari I would go with the Rolls Royce. I prefer luxury rather than speed.
Yesterday going down the street, I noticed the Jeep Grand Cherokee, and I was stunned when I saw that it had the same led design as the Rolls Royce does, Rolls Royce definitely needs a new LED light design, I'm not saying that its bad ( I mean, who doesn't like Rolls Royce ), I'm just saying that Rolls Royce just shouldn't have anything in common with a Jeep. ( Sorry to all of those people that do have a Jeep, don't want to hurt your feelings )

Consider my criticism a compliment. You guys have some of the highest production standards I have seen for youtube car reviews. So when you guys do stuff like that I am disappointed. The music intro-montages are truly professional. Compliments to whoever edits those. I always notice you guys pay particular attention to camera angles. So that the camera and cameraman are not seen in the reflection. When I occasionally do. I am disappointed. Haha. I hold you guys to a high standard.

What I am not understanding is that this car has 12 cylinders AND twin turbos but only makes 565 hp. The new BMW M5 V8 has the same power, but just slightly less torque. Anyhow, am I missing something from this BMW engine?
Power isn't the objective. The reason for using a 12-cylinder engine in the first place is the unbeatable refinement. The car needs enough power to make it move effortlessly, yet be refined. They also use a pretty restrictive exhaust to keep it quiet. This leads to a loss in power as well.
the i3 also using gps to help to solve the out of power issue, that is very similar to the gps transmission used in rolls royce too

Short wheel base version starts at $ 291,350 . . . If it will be at $ 350 then i'll think to consider buying it.

as with most European cars ,how is long term reliability or is it a money bit after a few years of real use
My Ghost is 10 years old, and has never let me down. It is for this reason I chose it over a Bentley as my past experience is that Bentley are very 'hit and miss'....

This is unquestionably a beautiful car, but it has one serious defect which should be addressed. The driver can't manually shift his own gears in this car. When I'm going down a long, steep hill, I want to be the one who chooses what gear to shift down to in order to get engine braking. I don't want a stupid satellite GPS system to do it for me. This takes all the fun out of driving this car, which the Ghost is supposed to provide the driver as compared to the ponderous Phantom.

really enjoyed the review; however, there was one mistake. The plungers that control air flow are not mechanical. They are electronic made to feel mechanical. Kudos to the engineers being able to fool a reviewer!

The Rolls Royce of today is not the same as the old one. Besides, most people that have the income buy it for social status. Driving or being chauffeured in a old Rolls Royce won't give you that.

No, the Chrysler looks like this. When Chrysler designed the new 300 (as well as the old one), they mocked the Rolls-Royce signature grill they've used since the very beginning.

No, Chrysler mimics the Rolls Royce Ghost and, therefore, their 300C looks like it from the front view, especially the headlights.
While I am all for American automakers going forward, Chrysler needs to be creative and come out with its own unique designs.

The only thing you're supposed to hear in a Rolls Royce is the clock ...ticking, not the tires on the road which is most of what I hear in this video--really disappointing. But I notice with all of the luxury manufacturers heading towards run-flats I guess I shouldn't be surprised that the NVH of a $300k Rolls today is worse than a $30k Crown Victoria from 8 years ago.
I think it must be the equipment used to record as I get minimal noise in my series 1 Ghost from the tyres.

Wrong. I own a Rolls Royce Ghost. I live in a modest 2 bed end of terrace in Warwickshire, England, have a regular job, and swear with the best of them. I don't have stocks and shares, don't have rich parents, and was not born with a silver spoon in my mouth. I just worked hard.
