I honestly appreciate the way that you do car channels diffrent from other people. Other than saying "here's the car, its this trip and has this option and here's how it drivers" Its amazing the story, the heritage and the unique aspects you bring to your videos. and PLEASE more OPTIONS GAMES....
The product and the way it's manufactured IMO should never be mutually exclusive. One complements the other. Just like a fine Panerai watch. And a Latin speaking option in a car? Only Rolls. Another great episode MotoMan. Really enjoyed these reviews.
Motorola Man Steve Jobs is not driving anywhere, he's already arrived at his destination. Great episode, 14 minutes passed by like 14 seconds. Muchas Gracias Omigo!
"i would go allll out.... maybe like a Beige...and a different shade of beige here... and a lighter beige or black"....... hahaha... watch out we got a badass here :p
+MotoManTV you can have both if you want. Rolls will do that and according to my calculations (I am a car dealer myself), in the United States, you will be spending around 30,000$ extra for both together.
wonderful episode, kudos motoman you have one of the most entertaining and informative car shows I know of in youtube. I prefer the mulsanne v8 with the pushrods and enormous torque but overall the rolls has better ergonomics and interface.
Depends on where you live as well. In some places the Rolls most def stands out more being more of a rare sight. An untrained eye doesn't make much difference between an S500 and the Maybach. ;)
well the merc is cheaper to buy, own, drive, insure. the merc is also a better driver's car like you said but it also has a quieter cabin than the rolls, believe it or not.
Not the best review. He is going on about the interior colour combination endlessly. This car can be customised in a million ways for that price. You think everyone who is going to busy this vehicle will have the same interior? And buy some proper footwear.
Being a rather clean person when it comes to my cars, I would get this car in a color I seen Lincoln do and loved it very much. A nice Midnight Blue exterior, with white seats and headliner, white with a red wood dashboard (maybe black wood) and a black floor. Of course, only if you're going to keep the car clean, black floors for just in case you have a little mud on your shoes.
impeccable machine, great color.Nothing rides like a RR.

Sir Charles Rolls was conducting a dalliance with a young lady just prior to the great war, and she was a nurse on a hospital ship in the Mediterranean when a German U-boat torpedoed her vessel from under her, all hands were lost. Mr Rolls, now understandably disconsolate, forged an icon in memoriam to his lost love, we know it as the "Spirit of Ecstasy" and it has graced every Rolls Royce since 1914. Such tragedies are insurmountable and some others are steeped in legend. An unrequited love will tear your soul to shreads. Be wary, you have been warned.
The way something is manufactured is more important than the product. Building a car THE RIGHT WAY makes all the difference in how long it will last, as well in the areas of initial quality.
V12's are not lazy low-reving engines. See ferrari , lambo , mercedes, bmw, jaguar and tell me where the red line is . V8's are . nice video , keep 'em coming .
All things considered, quality and performance, I'd still say handmade. A handmade Savile Row suit will be better than a machine-sewn designer suit whose price is not dictated by the fit/quality but the label. These are luxury goods and have no practical purpose so I'd say handmade. To take it to another level, I'd rather have a Pagani Huyara over a Bugatti Veyron. I'd imagine all of these cars have a certain degree work done by hand. Still prefer the looks of the Mulsanne and would have that for the money.
sachin1006 The older ones are doing fine. Had my Silver Cloud III since 1982 and it floats. Starts first time and doesn't have one computer, not many gadgets but more headroom.
Hey motoman I like your cars tests . The thing I like about RR the product itself . I like gear transmission idea . I wish you test drive Nissan juke , dodge Ram and infiny q30
I've stated this on an XCar review, but I want to see your guy's opinion on the matter. Why are the new Rolls Royce's so... boxy? Rolls used to have curves. Now they're just luxurious boxes.
I always figured I would want the Phantom instead of this because I like big, floaty, cars. But this thing seems a bit more practical, more like a car than an apartment building, and seems a bit more young than the Phantom... I just needed to see the bit where the SOE retracts into the hood and I'm sold, so yeah, if I ever got the money, I'd buy this instead of a Phantom... but still not before the Drophead Coupe, that's would be bought first and foremost!
As far as I'm concerned all cars should be a hybrid or have some technology with fuel efficient technology. Cars doing 6 seconds 0-100kph is no big deal, it's what fuel consumption to performance that counts. That's the difference between cars these days.
How does it compare with the Maybach S600 and the Rolls Royce Phantom. How does the ride compare with the Wraith. Wow your description is exactly like me; I have a 991 TTS as well, but can't always drive. I actually prefer reverse herringbone seats in business class, as comfortable as first class suites.
I did a small comparison side by side with the rear passenger seats on the Ghost II and the BMW7 2016 executive rear package. Sad to say, the BMW 7 and the Ghost shares a bit too much similarities. The seat adjustment buttons, the sound of the tones, it's just very upsetting at how a 100k sedan vs a 380k Rolls can be so close to each other when it comes to what to offer as a "product." With that said, my preference would still be the Rolls Royce over a BMW 7 or S-Class, but for certain it would be the Phantom EWB over the Ghost II EWB. If driving or riding in the back seats of the Rolls is to make a statement then you better be making a bold one with the legend, not its little brother. However I have to say, what the 7 series and the S-Class (both the 2016s) have a lot to offer that comes pretty darn close to a Rolls as a "product" as a fraction of the price. I have the S-class now and I am thinking about the Phantom EWB in the next 12-18 months, unless if the Mulsanne new EWB coming up are in more of a production.
you mentioned the stainless hood I was told by a Rolls Royce sales person on the ghost it is silver paint the only way to get stainless hood is to buy a phantom
To answer your question posed in the video, since we are dealing in hyper-luxury here, in my opinion it is the product that is more important, not how it is manufactured. The Rolls will always get more respect at the Plaza, Ritz, Peninsula (pick your favorite high end hotel or restaurant) than the Bentley...and i love Bentley's too! I HATE the white gauges, though. I know they seem to be an "in" thing right now, but when your are driving at night on a dark road, they put out way too much light shining in your eyes. Your eyes can never get adjusted to the darkness. I could care less about a sunroof or a twinkly headliner.
i wish i could have a Rolls Royce, its just so perfect car i love them. But its ok i drining my old shit peugot 106 because i cant buy a newer car. Still love to watch those videos! thnx!
Well in England Latin is still thought nation wide at first when you enter secondary school (high school) and where I live it's tonight in every private school. I take it at my school and most of the parents that pay for their kids to go to school have a luxury car since they already pay over £10,000 a year for there children to go somewhere like King Edwards Edgbaston for example. And because of the education the parents also probably had Latin is spoken by many past students who went to Oxford or Cambridge.
MotoManTV With companies like Mercedes coming out with executive models of their S class and the revitalization of the Maybach Moniker, I feel that the RR nameplate is more historic more than anything else. The Germans are offering equally comparable luxury and build quality for significantly less, so the ghost and Phantom seem to be just overpriced BMW's at the end of the day in my opinion. RR still holds a bigger name in aviation more than anything else, and even then GE gives them a godo run for their money. In the end you buy a Rolls for the manufacturing, but in reality I found the car to be glitzy in its interior design. The New S Class is equally as luxurious and refined, without feeling glitzy and overdone in terms of the interior design.
Zoraver Singh The build quality is still miles ahead in a rolls than a Mercedes, just look at the rear infotainment system on both cars and you'll see the difference in build quality and refinement. I would pick a rolls any day to an s class that looks like almost every other top end luxury car inside. The Benz is still top notch, but nowadays i can't differentiate some Benz models from Korean cars. No other car looks like the rolls, interior and exterior that's the finesse and exclusivity that makes the brand the most successful luxury brand in that price range.
Samson Okoro rolls Royce just uses BMW infotainment. For interior materials are still top notch. I disagree that the s class build quality is any less. The w116 and w126 are considered to be some of the best built cars. Mercedes is a brand that is known for its impeccable build quality. In the end I do not think I feel that the rolls Royce is not worth 4x the cost of an s class. The s class is close enough in interior materials and design, to where the rolls is more of a niche brand.
Zoraver Singh it's not four times the price, this is the ghost not phantom, when I talked bout the Infotainment system at the rear I wasn't talking bout the electronics but the build quality of materials around it in the rear. It is concealed in the rolls foldable and doubles as a table with incredible wood finish. The Benz on the other hand is like every other permanently placed and in your face. The rolls is all bout refinement and class and though the benz is a top car isn't just on this Level in my opinion. U can get a ghost from 250k. The s class amg or brabus is well over 150k. The rolls can really get expensive though cause of the unlimited bespoke options.
Zoraver Singh I tell you one thing that I like the rolls more then the BMW/Mercedes, even BMW owns Rolls. Nowadays the bmw's and the mercedes are identical, I mean, pic a 7 series and compare with a 5 series, smaller, but identical, same applies to Mercedes, but the Rolls...is unique.
I am sure you can get whatever options you want, but I doubt that would include seatbelt colors. Every different seat belt color needs to be tested to national standards and that means crash testing the car.
people are not asking what is more important, but what is recommended by you. You obviously have reason why you are not providing the info.We know what the reason is... I would buy Rolls, pure and simple..
Why not both? The product it self & the way its made. of course Bentley got the craftsmanship advantage since VAG got everything in the divorce (except for the BMW engines) while Rolls started from scratch again ... (sounds like a messy Cali divorce lol) when it comes to the paint though, Rolls Royce is the Master... Especially when coachlines are involved... I've seen some epic touches. I think they did a remarkable job with the Phantom & Ghost & with experience they gained... The next generation Phantom should be a masterpiece. The Starlight Vs Panoramic roof is a tough one, I think I'll go with a Panoramic roof on the Ghost & Starlight on the Wraith . . . :) speaking of Rolls & Aviation, did you get to see the Aviation Series cars in person? I saw the Waterspeed Phantom Drophead Coupe in person & the details inside are incredible. quick question, Do you know who makes the dash clocks for Rolls? as always, excellent video M!

MotoMan is My favortie Car Reviewer on RUclips. Love the Rolls.
Motorola Man Steve Jobs is not driving anywhere, he's already arrived at his destination. Great episode, 14 minutes passed by like 14 seconds. Muchas Gracias Omigo!
Dominic Toretto Touche . . . but thanks for the very kind words . . . Our pleasure.

Sunroof, because you can see some real stars
flyingcow 32 VERY good point!
+MotoManTV you can have both if you want. Rolls will do that and according to my calculations (I am a car dealer myself), in the United States, you will be spending around 30,000$ extra for both together.
Random Car Guy you can do it aftermath for much cheaper. Looks no different
If you are watching real stars while you are driving, your car is going to crash buddy.
U can only see it on the wrath
wonderful episode, kudos motoman you have one of the most entertaining and informative car shows I know of in youtube. I prefer the mulsanne v8 with the pushrods and enormous torque but overall the rolls has better ergonomics and interface.
Headliner because according to me it's the most unique part of a Rolls Royce
These car's are gorgeous!
I'm getting a roll Royce soon
right...
Drake Sandles I want one I'm getting on soon
Did u get it
Yeah right .... u driving a Honda stop lying 🤥
@@smh02 lmaoooo u ain't lying, she riding on the back seat 🥴
I like the Rolls a lot; the only advantage of the Mercedes Maybach S600 is that it makes a better daily driver.
you get a roller, you get a driver.
+Cameron Mcmaster Nah, I'd rather drive myself.
+Cameron Mcmaster for a phantom yes for a ghost no this is a car you drive
Depends on where you live as well. In some places the Rolls most def stands out more being more of a rare sight. An untrained eye doesn't make much difference between an S500 and the Maybach. ;)

MotoManTV
Both are important, the product ii self and the way its made. I love the high quality in this kind of cars...simply AWESOME!!!
really entertaining and thorough review
Getting my rolls in a couple of days , glad it speaks Arabic !
I drive same color but the inside it's beige color and curtains on the site... love it
Great Vehicle! My favorite!

Great review ,love the rolls
Gotta love NY guys who've transplanted to La-La. It's just so damned important to represent.... in the strongest cariacture possible. Go Moto.
Great Review! Glass roof here
impeccable machine, great color.Nothing rides like a RR.

I'd have to say both are equally important depending on the buyer and their preferences
chill with all the languages
Good work!
just bought this car and im keeping it
Maaaan ... You Are Great !!
Hey Motoman jhow are you? Love your videos. I’m watching from Singapore
V12's are not lazy low-reving engines. See ferrari , lambo , mercedes, bmw, jaguar and tell me where the red line is .
V8's are .
nice video , keep 'em coming .
Lol he looks all professional but then has red laces !!
I love this presenter's non-verbal cues, absolutely hilarious

Way its manufactured, just look at old stock cars, the better built ones still work first of all and many may still be desirable
sachin1006 The older ones are doing fine. Had my Silver Cloud III since 1982 and it floats. Starts first time and doesn't have one computer, not many gadgets but more headroom.
Awesome work, Man!! When's the Nismo GTR coming?
Hey motoman I like your cars tests . The thing I like about RR the product itself . I like gear transmission idea . I wish you test drive Nissan juke , dodge Ram and infiny q30
Love it :) hope to buy one InshaAllah (God willing)
That paintwork is swirl-tastic.
I would like dark brown interior with white trimming with metallic grey finishes and the starlite roof
The way it is manufactured.
I've stated this on an XCar review, but I want to see your guy's opinion on the matter. Why are the new Rolls Royce's so... boxy?
Rolls used to have curves. Now they're just luxurious boxes.
He's right. Scottsdale Road doesn't have even the slightest bend worth mentioning. Don't forget to subscribe!
Best built autos, and one hell of a aircraft engine builder.
The starlight headliner. Put the sunroof on that Turbo S.
I always figured I would want the Phantom instead of this because I like big, floaty, cars. Motorman videos are the shit 💯
The way its manufactured.
Ideally, the product will reflect the way it was produced.
Which model has the lowest db travel level? Is the extended wheelbase important for the best ride?
Hi, is this exact car in a dealership or does it have an owner? I want to go test drive this exact 1!
Well the way the product is produced is very important. But without the product itself, production doesn't matter
As far as I'm concerned all cars should be a hybrid or have some technology with fuel efficient technology. Cars doing 6 seconds 0-100kph is no big deal, it's what fuel consumption to performance that counts.

Zach Chai Both the Wraith and the Maybach are coming up on the show later in the summer. More as those episodes progress . . .

What's up with the Chrysler 300 lights
Chrysler copies Bentley and Rolls-Royce.
Rolls had these lights waaaaaaaaaay before Chrysler.
I love this car
Wear decent shoes in a Rolls.
Gordon 2000 chill, it’s just a car.

Still love to watch those videos! thnx!
+Jan Jaap Dan koop je een mooie porsche boxster met stoel verwarming.
How in the world did you not actually extend the seat in the back ?
Question: Do you prefer this Series 2 Ghost or a 2018+ Bentley Mulsanne Speed?
Mulsanne Speed.
The product- is the result of the way it is manufactured.
the way it manufactured is important
Starlight all day all night
can you make every single part of the car green?
Ur crazy
Lee Tian Wen Sure. Nice big tin of paint should do it 😉
I think the product is a result of the way it is manufactured
that guy looks like the driver of this car

Zoraver Singh Mercedes area nice car but every cab driver in Beirut has a Mercedes.
I am sure you can get whatever options you want, but I doubt that would include seatbelt colors. Every different seat belt color needs to be tested to national standards and that means crash testing the car.
Pfff lol crash testing for color changes hahahahaha
Was the car driving by itself, is it a self driving car? btw i didn't finish watching the video so im guessing he'll explain later on
Most Rolls owners are Chauffeur driven
How does it compare to the Mercedes-Maybach S600?
the starlight headliner
my future car
So beautiful but I hate how the front end is just a bigger version of the Chrysler 300
shossain50 Actually, it's the other way around: the Chrysler 300 is a small version/rip-off of the RR. RR has had the sort of grille for decades.
How and when am I ever going to be able to buy one of these? It's so not fair!!!
Because the manufacturer becomes the product itself obviously the manufacturer
really I want such a car but how I can buy it its really expensive and really luxurious and elegant and mesmerising
the manufacturing process, because it relate back to the product itself
So einz and zwei, or whatever, they just mean 1 and 2.
creativity, folks.
Hazel games eins-1 zwei-2
Sick!
Ima get this car 2018
I saw this car at the parking spot!
people are not asking what is more important, but what is recommended by you.
You obviously have reason why you are not providing the info.We know what the reason is...
I would buy Rolls, pure and simple..
my opinion the product is the result of the way it is manufactured I prefer the Ghost ll over any Bentley.
It's got the headlamps from a grand cherokee/ chrysler 300????
brad .chernotsky nooooo those two companies copied Rolls-Royce
Why not both? The product it self & the way its made.
of course Bentley got the craftsmanship advantage since VAG got everything in the divorce (except for the BMW engines) while Rolls started from scratch again ... (sounds like a messy Cali divorce lol)
when it comes to the paint though, Rolls Royce is the Master... Especially when coachlines are involved... I've seen some epic touches.
I think they did a remarkable job with the Phantom & Ghost & with experience they gained... The next generation Phantom should be a masterpiece.
The Starlight Vs Panoramic roof is a tough one, I think I'll go with a Panoramic roof on the Ghost & Starlight on the Wraith . . . :)
speaking of Rolls & Aviation, did you get to see the Aviation Series cars in person? I saw the Waterspeed Phantom Drophead Coupe in person & the details inside are incredible.
quick question, Do you know who makes the dash clocks for Rolls?
as always, excellent video M!
Just take the entire top off.
