- I was always a huge fan of Forza Motorsport, I always figured that they were the best when it comes to simulation racing games, but thats just my opinion and nothing more.
The music and video two totally seperate files, I looped the video to match the length of the song, I decided to loop the main menu to give you something to look at while you listen.

I just realized the comparison. In the latest Forza Horizon's, it's all about who gets first place and in what car they did it in. From the loading screens alone I can see that this game...it's more alive. The people are sitting on their cars, greeting friends, hugging and talking with each other, having picnics, taking selfies, and walking around with their dates. From what I can see in a single play-through of all the opening credit slides...Forza Horizon 1 was a story. It wasn't just about the cars, it was about the people who drove them. It was a game that was truly alive.
The "Horizon Festival" theme is practically gone now from the newest games. The wristbands, the radio hosts talking about whats going on in the festival and talking about what some of the racers are doing, the vibe is gone. I want this Horizon back. Just look at this main menu. It felt more alive. Just like you said.
@@F0X_H0UNDYou took the words out from my mouth mate. I only play Forza Horizon 5 for the cars, aside that there's no reason to play it. I recently started to re-play Forza Horizon 1 in my Xbox Series X, and I had MUCH, MUCH more fun than I ever had in Forza Horizon 5 and even 4! This type of Horizon needs to come back, and I think it will, since the franchise is desesperate for a reboot.
Getting those perfect moments when you have hit the perfect turns, hearing the engines, the whines, the moans...hitting the gear changes just right as the music, which ever tune tou had on dropped at the perfect moment....pure bliss

The graphics for forza horizon 1 were still outstanding I think that they can contest against some of the games we have in 2016

This game looks worse than Forza Motorsport 4, I think that game can graphically compete nowadays. Obviously not too much, but Forzavista was incredible.
Cruising around red rock with buddies along with this soundtrack are some of the best memories I have from my 10 years of gaming :) I lost contact with all of them and this song reminds me of those good times.

I don't know you guys, but this Forza was more alive than the others, you can clearly see in the main menu how the people is acting with others, taking pictures, talking, eating with their cars on the side. This Forza was a masterpiece!

@@themajestictiger1 that's how I feel. this game was more casual and about the experience, not getting the fastest and most expensive car. it was more of a ride than guided you to the top and made it feel like you EARNED the next best car. Plus the music in this game is amazing.

@@themajestictiger1 you should really try out fh1, there’s not as much of a car selection and the graphics aren’t as good but holy crap did it actually feel like a a real festival. It felt like you were actually in the game and that your car purchases were actually special because money was a lot harder to earn in this game. On top of that the soundtrack was amazing, the scenery was beautiful, and the storyline was incredible. It’s totally worth however much it is to buy.

when there's horizon 5 already released. you back to horizon 1 and see how far we have come. if you are a player from horizon 3 or higher version you will never know how good is horizon 1 in our heart

Crazy how much the graphical clarity improved from FH1 to FH3. 4 years, one console change... still impresses me.

fh1 was my first xbox 360. it was included for my xbox 360. this startup screen was the first thing i saw to an actual game and the first time playing a console game. seeing the sunsets were always hitting me with emotions. it hits me harder today bc it reminds me of my early childhood memories. i was 6 at the time this came out and i got it 1 or 2 years later and feel in love with it. fh1 will always be the game i started becoming a gamer and was my first ever game i got. i would have enjoyed going offroad in this game but fh1 didn't have it but that didn't stop me from playing it. this moment of the game will always be a special moment for me and will always be a part of my life. i did get tired of it but i revisited it recently along with fh2. this game had a story compare to the other fh games. it was also the only game with cutscenes. just watching the title screen just tells me it is a beautiful game due to the lighting and graphics. my favorite part of the title screen song was when it kicked in like 10 seconds later. the the end of the song always reminds me of the og xbox typ feeling idk why. in general this game is a peace of art till this day. colorado was just the perfect place for the first fh game to take place. becoming the king of horizon festival was a good ending but i also noticed none of the newer games have talked about horizon 2012 festival. not even made a reference to the first game and that it self is a let down to the other fh games. in fh2 you never get welcomed back but besides that i enjoy the new fh games but the first is the best. fh1 will always be remambered as the game everyone loved and took a part of their lifetime. thinking about the number of fh games. we are already at fh5 in just 10 years compare to gta 5. we might get fh10 in 10 years. fh1 was not only about racing it was also about the beauty of it. the graphics and the sunsets in general.

It’s a shame this game is delisted on the digital market place due to copyright licenses. More people should be able to experience this nearly decade old classic.

I used to play this on xbox 360 as a kid and I never had xbox live so I used to cruise in my buggati listening to walking on a dream on the radio… the story was amazing and it wasn’t just about the cars.
I could cry for hours over the nostalgia i feel when i watch this loading screen and listen to the song.
I never played the whole game only the demo but i have such great memories with it, im sad it all came to an end with the red death on my xbox 360.

When i got my first console this game was already delisted... i can just tell that like many people here i'd prefeer it over all the 4 sequels (which i played) and i want to give it a shot but i literally can't and this sucks man...
Maybe you can play it on pc. The games still exist it's just that you don't have a server to run it on.

Once it got to 1:01 I felt the shot of nostalgia. I used to turn my xbox on and just watch the intro over and over again because not only did I love the CARS but the MUSIC was a whole different dimension for me. Thanks for posting this. I broke my xbox a long time ago and watching this doesn't make me miss watching it

I like Horizon 1 because IT ACTUALLY FELT LIKE A FESTIVAL. The new ones don’t have that appeal., even the menu helps it out. This one, you had tents, trailers, cutscenes, and a story.

This song was such a hit in this game. It really encapsulated the sense of freedom and speed you get in-game with this on the background. Very iconic, much more than the ones in FH2 and FH3.
I prefer walking on a dream which also appeared in fh2 for a bit. Fh2 is by far my fav but they are all great

I am a major fan of Forza horizon 1, I loved this game. little story time..
during the peak of this game when I was literally playing for hours on end I had a crazy dream, I remember it even 10 years from now cause how vivid it was.
I was standing in an open field, I was with 3 other drivers, it was dusk, and the stars were coming out. I had my Bluetooth on my ear go off, the girl telling me to hurry back to the festival, a big event was going on or something. I looked at the other guys and they nodded and grinned and said the last one there has to buy us dinner. I smiled and I jumped into my GTR R35 and we all took off driving insanely fast like how we drive in the video game. I was in the rear and we were snaking in formation, dodging cars, driving next to each other. I could see them smile at me as we pass back and forth. And here's the most vivid part I remember from the dream. the point of view changes into third person, I am now overlooking my car . this intro song starts playing and I see fireworks going off, the stars are bright and my view moves upward in the sky and I overlook my little group of friends driving into the festival in the distance and then I wake up. I literally cried happy tears. thank you if you made it this far lol, its a dream that stuck with me all these years.

For me, I was at a super low point...everything just didn't make sense, my head could find the right things it wanted to and I just felt miserable, I played this in a open top super car...can't remember which but I decided to go and just drive up and down the motorway...just as I hit the start of it at the bottom of the map and began to to speed up as this song started up, and started feeling a sudden feeling bubble up, and I hit the accelerator just as the drop hit....
Since then when I listen to this song I get an image of me driving down an open road, by the coast in an open top car, hearing the engine go through the motions and hearing this song blast over the speakers as I'm going down this endless coastal road....and it never fails to make me happy....

I really want them to at least make the next horizon set somewhere like Colorado or generally the western states of the US. Or they could just remaster this game.

I remember going to Black Friday with my parents and my dad got me this game. I was excited to play it, and I’m glad he got that game for me. I thought it looked amazing and racing games couldn’t get any better than that, but I was wrong. No Forza game will probably beat the original Horzion.
Same feeling here man. I pre ordered the steel book edition, I remember going the next morning after launch with my copy already reserved and I played this game for the rest of the damn day

@@CrazyPanda688 a year later and Horizon 5 added a song REALLY similar to this one. Gave me chills. It’s called Everything You Are by Midnight Kids. This Horizon is definitely the best one since the first.

Never owned an Xbox. I would always go to Walmart when my parents when grocery shopping and I would play the demos they would have set up at the game section. I would look up at the screen for about an hour every visit and would always play Forza. That was when my dad was still around. He’s gone now but the memories with this game and me growing up. I would always hum and sing this song. It’s how I discovered Porter Robinson 8 or so years later. I can’t say I don’t miss the old times but I’m here now. I got this game to thank for, even if it was just the demo. More than enough for me to cherish the little bit of childhood I remember having.

This is the one. I kinda hate how in the newer ones you show up as some "superstar". And they just give you 5 brand new cars as soon as you show up. Looking back, i just loved how you show up to the festival in a clapped out 95 Volkswagen. Makes the whole just bring what you got and enjoy the festival vibe feel that much more authentic.
As much as I hate driving WV Corrado, the gameplay feels organic as to work ways to be the champion of Horizon!
Yup, that's why Forza Horizon 1 is my favourite Forza Horizon game, it actually has progression from a slow clapped out economy car to a supercar. Meanwhile the newers ones like FH5 start out in a Corvette, Supra or Ford Bronco like wtf?

When devs actually gave games a *Soul.* There was emotion in this game like no other forza game can replicate, the *music,* cars, Graphics, and all the other mechanics. All put together to make the Greatest Forza to ever grace this earth. At this rate we will never get a game with the soul that this one created. I blame this game for my love in cars. This song brings back so many memories playin this game. My favourite one was glitching out of one of the infected maps and a whole lobby usin the entire map to play infected. Sometimes it went on for hours 😃
I came back here to listen to the best main menu music a game could ever have. So many memories that it made me smile ear to ear hearing this music again.
I remember back when I was really into cars and building them and racing them and having car meets and staying out all night. Fun times for sure.
Now we are all old and have our own families and responsibilities to worry about. No more car stuff unfortunately. :(

This was such a wonderful game. The environments felt alive...and I've rarely felt that way about a game since. So much fun racing with friends/beating their times, and enjoying these moments. Really takes you back to simpler times. Thanks for uploading.

i was hoping on winning the lottery when it was over a billion i was gonna give it all to make forza horizon 1 remastered and revamped with every car and track from forza motorsport, and expand from Colorado all of Americas, Europe, Asia, Africa, and have a custom track editor, and allow anyone to be sponsored in game for real parts. no more forza motorsport wing. lol wth is even that. then continuously update the game constantly with passion. never giving up never quitting. enhanced multiplayer, game mode editor, and aswell as making new modes and none of that driving through the wilderness through trees bushes and bullshit like what even is that you cant do it in real life it shouldn't be in the game.
This game will forever be the greatest memory of horizon. The loading screen made you hope that one day you’d be able to exit your vehicle in a later installment but unfortunately you can’t walk around your multi million dollar house in game😂
I only got the game in 2015, but hOooly shit were the graphics considered realistic for a 360 game, it was very fun and hard, and it took quite a long time to complete ( took me around a month to complete, every car, every race, everything. )
I've just started to play Forza horizon 1 on PC via xenia emulator and it looks good when you add some sharpening AMD FSR to it I'm looking forward to see if someone will try to "remaster" it with upcoming Nvidia RTX remix who wouldn't like to add some shiny new textures to this game

Forza Horizon 1 was the Best Forza ever this game is just differnt and nobody can Tell there is a better Vibe in a Game then in this game the Festival the Music this game is alive and it feels like a Party. I Played for about 400 hours from age 8 to 13 and love the Music more than any Other and now when i'm on Partys we love listening to this Music on big boxes this is just a Vibe like non Other game had before. Not a GTA not a Need for Speed and no Other game it's just a number for it's self.
