Aiming for peace is a good tactical descision for the gun empire, one less enemy and one more potential customer
I second this as it'll give S&R some breathing room to gear up and prepare as the Marshalls will no doubt be back for round 2.

Rat knight well to me i would agree on peace talks so that the progress of research to make the company grow powerful and study the equipment of the Marshal against them try to be diplomatic immunity firstly and get let say a newly vehicle like a tank in case they will bring firepower without notice if they try again to attack you no more peacetalk just never surrender

A Few Ideas:
1- Make peace with the marshall service and create a non-agression pact/ a limited time alliance for rebuilding and/or cooperation and use it in favor to defeat the rebels
2- go to the negotiations and try/create a treaty to take over the marshall weaponry industries (it might be too much but sure)
3- Drope a nuke on the peace talks to show them what happens when you dismiss the only rule "FAFO Rule" (Fk around and find out)
4- this option can go both ways:
4A- go to the peace talks and make them leave every nearby Marshall settlement and take it over
4B- Don´t go the peace talks and take all settlements in the proximity to HQ to create a bigger Buffer zone between HQ and the rest.
5- like a saying goes... "If you want peace, Prepare for war" [Expect it to be a trap and put cannons at HQ on standby to blow up the entire settlement/surrounding marshall settlements)
I agree with this except I think it should be with the rebels instead of the Marshalls, but poor Ortega.

I think you should start stockpiling nukes. Use them to perform an alpha strike on several martial and rebel bases all at once. And then tell the rebels and the marshals if they don't surrender you will level the rest of their towns. You only ever gave the martials and the rebels one nuke each and they used them on each other pretty quickly so they def did not have enough time to reverse engineer them so they wont be able to nuke you back.
Hold on, didn't Hawthorne develop nuclear weapons in the Mining Empire series?

Hey rat knight if you were having trouble with a raid, in the empires mod you can call in armies from the edge of the map or with AirDrop.
cyberbrains are a good way to deal with brain scars, especially basic cyber brains as they have no cons to them and enhance abilities, the mod is very easy to find, one of the top workshop mods.
I absolutely love the character of General Hawthorn, he’s my favorite in the entire storyline, well done!
Make or somewhat of a beneficial pact of temporary peace with them. Where they can help you with the war by giving u logistical information and research for an “ALLIE” 😅

I would like to think that the show Marshall services think Hawthorne is captured and maybe the peace talks are going to be an exchange . One of the reasons they would do this is hawthorn is very powerful but also he must know a lot of the Marshal services secrets that they don’t want getting out

great lord rat i am here to say that i am quite new to the channel but i am sure that i love your vids, from the lumber wood empire to this gun one i have to say i am sure to have enjoyed almoust all off your vids, but i have a suggestion to make i know you put the start chessplate in all the gun empire soldier as uniform, but it would be really nice iff you could unifor more you soldiers so your faction can fit in as one off the super powers off the planet

I have an idea for general hawthorn, he gets killed and eaten by the cannibal cult. However since he probably has superhuman flesh the cannibals get his power.

After watching the Marshall's raid and the destruction of yet another armored car.. It might be time to go from armored car, to IFV.. Nothing huge.. something as fast as a Recon car, but packs more punch against a range of enemies, including heavily armored soldiers, mechs, light armor vechs, and combat droids.. Something that can fit in the role of a operation, provide support and transport. So yea.. that's IFV / APC class.
Peace with the Marshall’s seems like a good idea, at least temporarily. This way you can sell rifles to both the Marshall’s and whatever enemies they have in the outlands

I think you should start working on upgrading the veteran mercenaries into super soldiers by equipping them with cutting edge tech such as bionics and exo sceletons. You could use them for special operations to minimize the casualties. You could name them "Spartans" Like in Halo

I think you should name one of the boomlapes Ivan, red alert 2 had a demolitionist named crazy Ivan and I think it would be fitting considering you have walking C4 charges in your base suppling your empire, which is pretty crazy

Peace talks can be a good idea, bit first make sure you send some expendable forces in case its a trap and make a plan of retaliation

Visit peace talk most likely will not put you in the neutral right away, but I noticed that if your negative relationships with enemy is lower then usual, they raid you less often. Tho, it might be a placebo effect from my part
I suggest you go to the peace treaty once you're able to call in reinforcements and if all goes well you could turn them against the rebels.

Edit: video twist idea, once General Hawthorne berserk state wears off, he becomes an ally somehow. It could be the Marshall's implanted his brain with some sort of mind control technology and the lance overwrote the programming and fried it so he can think clearly for once and realizes they've been using him as a weapon this whole time. I love the story of Hawthorne and kinda wanna see him turn a new leaf. Just an suggestion. Your video are seriously the best. I look forward to this series especially so much because of the long lore of the logging empire. Just amazing storytelling. Keep it up!

Mission report: Battle of the Desert Warlords
Background:
Given the proliferation of nuclear weapons capable of vaporising entire battlegroups, all major powers began investing away from larger armies and into smaller, elite and tougher soldiers. General Hawthorn was the first of the Marshal Service's Super Soldier Program who was put in command of a large squad to test his battle readiness and inform the Service on the effectiveness of their research and development.
Mission Status: *FAILED*
Disappointingly, General Hawthorn seemed unfit to face the rigors of war and was driven into some kind of madness through the battle and though escaped, was ineffective. Besides the initial attack breaking through enemy lines, distracting the enemy and allowing the larger force to divide and conquer, his mental instability renders him ineffective both as a soldier and as a general. Earlier signs of mental instability included muteness and outbursts of physical aggression.
Future SSP units are recommended to be tested for mental stability and obedience to designated handlers, even if this would cost some combat effectiveness. SSP units should not be inserted into the top of military command, instead folded into battlegroups as shock troops to break through enemy lines and allow the main body of attacking forces to disperse and achieve combat objectives.
Rat knight my opinion personally is that you should hear them out first and then go from there.
I'd like to see the hostilities between the company and the Marshals end, would give them another group to see something to since they don't need weapons right now. Doesn't mean you can't trade other items to them.

I think you should do peace talks instead as you could get an old customer back and maybe even start a new conflict with the Marshal Service between the Rebel faction and funding the new war.However, be cautious as it maybe a trap,I suggest you prepare your reinforcement from the other settlements before going for the peace talk.
