I’m 24 now I couldn’t wait to grow up. Now I’m in the worst depression ever. Not saying this to scare anyone but say it’s important to take actionable steps towards your future and what you want rather than what you are told to do.
I'm also 24 but have adhd so I'm pretty much mentally 18 😂😂 ig that's why I'm still not that worried about my career or anything like that, tbh I'm still in college getting my bachelor's and made peace with the fact that everyone goes at their own pace and it's almost never too late to do anything. If anything I'm having a way better time than when I was a teen since I just got less fuccs to give and am less reserved about going after whatever I want now
@@seeksolace2059 i don't have adhd but i'm experiencing something similar and after researching a lot i think if you've had those behaviors since you were a kid then it is more likely to be adhd. however, a lot of factor could be at play and child adhd could be hidden or fly under the radar, so take it with a grain of salt
@@metaphysicalfreediver I'm in a similar spot! I'm 24, also have ADHD, and going to be a first year for the third time (and hopefully last) in September. I've learnt to accept that everyone's on their own journey. Comparison really is the thief of joy, I've spent my whole life being a people pleaser and it's gotten me absolutely nowhere. I'm finally ready to take my life into my own hands and prioritise my needs :) I wish you the best, we've got this!
I'm 29, graduated from Harvard, now have a 100% remote full-time tech job, bought a big house, a nice car, and I have a boyfriend. I still feel like I've done nothing with my life. I need to do some soul-searching to see what to do for my 30s.
well first off, congratulations on achieving those things! it didn't happen without hard work on your part. it is in our human nature to want change. things get boring after a while. you might enjoy making something with your hands, like sewing or painting, or being outside in nature. but i think the best thing you could do for yourself is give your childhood dreams a second chance. the things you dreamt of before money was a thing you fully grasped. chances are, those same dreams are still in you. best of luck and happy 30s! :)
@@sweetpeaon3 Thank you for that. I’ve been looking into creating new hobbies. I recently started journaling, and it feels productive and enlightening.
This is actually how most “successful” women feel. Seems like corporate and money isnt something that genuinely fulfills them. Just keep learning about yourself and dont give up!
You don't only get one shot at the age's of 18-24 that's a scarcity mindset. You get as many shots as you work for and make possible for yourself. Facts. Bet on yourself people. Because it's up to YOU to make anything happen which you can make whatever you want happen for yourself at ANY time provided you have the will power to do so. You can use any of the tools the world has to offer to make it. School, Trade School, Military, Contracting Jobs, Self Taught skills, Relationship Opportunities, or even if you have to work multiple dead end jobs in order to save to invest in other things. You just need to learn money management and budgeting from the start and build a plan from there. You don't have to depend on any school. I'm not discrediting schooling but you don't NEED it to be financially well off. Coming from someone who knows personally.
Yes! This is exactly my mindset as a 16 year old .I tmrralise finance is importance but it isn't a priority , my passion for my career and my love for social interactions are more important. Even if I were to go broke at the end of the day is have my passion and will to pick myself up.The world's idea of "the best life" is not always the best life for me
This is the response of someone who didn’t understand what was said. For starters, you are only each age for 1 year. If you are 19 or older, you will in fact never be 18 again, or have the exact same opportunities that society provides to 18 year olds. This is true for every age. Secondly, yes, you can try and try again as many times as you wish. The point is that there will come a time for all of us when there is no more time. Whether that’s due to sickness, life situations, or death. The point is to take advantage of the time you have NOW because we all lose time at some point.
No, we mostly get things in life out of privilidge. I got so much being privilidged and doing little effort, got so little after loosing privilidge and working my ass off. FACTS.
1.choices are chain reaction... Begin with end in mind Be purposeful with yout time and effort. 2. Build your human capital... Read self-development books such as Atomic habits..7 habits of highly effective people... Influence is your superpower.. Self study..work on time management skills... More mature people are the one who constantly try to improve themselves... 4. Learn through other's life 5. Push yourself out of comfort zone.. 6. Remember that it's your life.. Believe in your own judgement.. Don't put pressure on yourself to win in some arbitrary race. Don't feel the need to force some productivity or achievement rating on what you've done with your life. •Treat your time like it's gold• 7. Priorities your happiness, health and fulfillment... And apart from this video...one valuable lesson I have learned is that...Never let other people's perception of you dictate your behaviour..you will never grow as a person..But if you leave yourself open to experience despite what other think then you will learn and grow..✨🌼
1. Begin with end in mind 2. Being purposeful with time and effort 3. Learning from others mistakes 4. Not getting affected by others opinions of me cause they're only advisor not manager 5. Constantly seeking growth in life to improve myself 6. Prioritizing health and happiness These are the keywords for me that i learned from this video. Thank you Amy 💚. Im really struggling through a lot these days but your videos give me a sense of hope that i can still achieve my dreams even though i failed a lot of times. And what im grateful about more is that i get to watch this video before i turn 18.
I am days away from being 25 so this vid is still for me ehehe. Anw, “don’t pressure yourself to winning some arbitrary race” is sunlight to my withering confidence.
For context, i just started a new job unrelated to my major and/or previous skills, and everyone else is doing so much better. Thanks to this, I’m in no rush to beat anyone. Im just here to learn with my own best ability because I get and chose to. So thanks Amy, cheers!
I’m 25, just started a new course and am now studying something I actually love. It took me two failed courses to finally find out what I wanted to do with my life. I could’ve gotten my degree from my previous course but I’d have to work a job I hate (for minimum wage) and that thought terrified me. So at this point, even though I’ll only be able to start working in my field once I’m 30, I’m still glad I made this decision. It’s never too late imo. After all, my mom got her psychiatry degree at 49 and her driver’s license at 52 so I’ve witnessed that you’re never too old to learn something new. It just takes courage and discipline.
I'm 28 now but I would've loved to hear this 4 years ago. Or when I was 18 😅 Thanks for talking about this! I know a lot of "new adults" will appreciate learning this
28 is only a few years away from 24. I'm pretty sure categories should be 18-29 since 28 is also a young adult. New research shows brain development is at 30s instead of 25. You're still young and a new adult and can do this
im currently 23 years old, and i feel stuck. stuck that i don't know what i'm doing. or am i really in the right path that i'm supposed to be. the pandemic took the "one shot in life" from me because those years are the height of covid-19. i never got to experience my first day in college or even attend my highschool graduation because it was cancelled with the growing number of covid cases in my country. everytime i think about those years lost, i look at myself and i still think that mentally, i'm my 18 year old me, waiting to graduate highschool and taking up the nerves to walk up on stage infront of 500 students in my class. but i never got to do that. i'll be 24 at the start of next year and i feel like i haven't experienced enough of life. maybe because i got depressed and 2 years was just me trying to keep myself alive everyday. it was a struggle to wake up. and i feel that i've wasted so much time accomplishing nothing. even now, i don't know if i'm doing enough to be where i want to be. the thought of my peers leaving me behind while they continue to go on and achieve amazing thing in life crushes me because i thought i would be there too right now, but that's not the case. i stumbled upon your videos, and i hope i can learn and pick up some stuff to keep myself motivated to finish this degree. taking inspirations in life not as a life guide or self help book but a new way to see life itself, a new perspective on what to look for to finally enjoy living. (so sorry for the "trauma dump," your videos really made me think about some stuff i would never think of on my own)
I feel you babe, me too trying to finish my degree now in 24, feel like haven't experience anything, been in depression for years.. I hope good things come for you soon, we just have to keep survive and doing it until the end of the tunnel.. Sending you lot and lots of love❤
i struggled just like you drifted for years but was able to get out of it and find purpose consistency doesn't have to be everyday you can off and on days just keep going I'm 23 just graduated and learned it's not what i want and now going back to be a doctor it's never too late or over never give up!! tough times don't last
Thank you for sharing this. I just turned 21 y/o and I feel the same way. I did 3 years of community college which I did very mediocre. I thought I could handle despite dealing with a toxic household, depression, unstable health both physically and mentally. I feel so behind even by those who are younger than me. I wish I could stop caring. I don't know what to do
Also don't forget all in all theres is no truly objectively "right" way to live life it's up to your interpretation! And thats the Beauty of it😄aint it swell?
I’m literally turning 25 in a few months and feeling so underwhelmed all the time thinking will it get better, my end has always been in my mind but I feel like I’m not worthy of that. I feel this guilt every time I am hanging out with friends and family
Hey Tanisha, right? I'm here to tell you that it's not too late. Sure, you are 24 years old, and you probably graduated from college. I know it sounds cliché but nothing lasts forever. I'm here to remind you that time will pass. I think you should concentrate on what you love the most. I'm guessing the problem here is that you can't get yourself to do stuff? That's OK, take tiny steps . Life is a journey, please make it worth it.
Please DO hang out with your friends and family as much as possible. Literally no one on their death bed regrets not working more and giving less time for loved ones.
I am turning 20 in 2 weeks and I have realized that growing up is not at all easy..The decisions you take now will result in future so I have to take correct decisions but until now I depended on my parents decisions all the time so It's quite hard to chamge
Depending on your parents isn't bad. I still do it and I'm 27. They have a lot of wisdom and in most cases, they know you the best so they're in a position to steer you towards a good future. There are always those incidents where the parents are wrong and you can just feel that your decision that's different from their views is the right one, but that's another topic. I believe there's wisdom in listening to parents and family and valuing their opinions. It's helped me and my sisters a lot in life. I wouldn't be the person who I am today without them. Of course, this is only my opinion. God bless.
@@dreamsanddaytime I get what you mean..But what I meant is that sometimes even after listening to my parents what if I regret the decision but I can't even blame them or judge them coz they've done more than enough so when taking important decisions I try to listen to myself so the responsibility will be in my hands..And it is my future after all
Yeah same... I was always a "good kid" who did what was told. Now suddenly I'm at the age where I am supposed to CHOOSE FOR MYSELF :DDDDD GO AHEAD! CHASE THOSE DREAMS Brother, what dreams? I don't even know what I want out of life I just know what everyone else does and thinks I should do. It's weird now having not just the right but the responsibility to pick and choose what path to take into my future when I have never had a good idea
Allow yourself to make a few mistakes in life, don’t stress yourself in making the perfect choice but make sure each decision is backed by sufficient research and rationale. Trying too hard to make the “right” decisions will end up paralysing us and make us fearful of making the next step. Good luck!
I just turned 20 and I’m so excited for this decade. I’m excited for the ups and downs, the successes etc… I’m so happy I found this video and I appreciate all the advice. I’m wishing everyone that watches this video all the best❤❤❤
I love this video. This woman single handedly made me feel less guilty about my life. Every other video I watch tells me to hustle endlessly because once I'm 25 it's over. I won't be able to do anything. But she wiped that all away with this video. The fact that she focused on talking about the most Important aspects of life instead of those repeated, monotonous opinions fills me with intense relief. I am doing okay, and trying my best, she just re-affirmed that for me. Thank you so much.❤
You will be fine!! Sending you love ❤ I think my podcast will be really helpful because new episodes include discussions about growing up and feeling lost!
No degree, grinded my life for the past 5 years... Learned so much more than in college... Making 6 figures now.. I hire people with 120k student debt getting payed half of what I do.. Makes no sense.. anyhow, im going to school for my degree. Idk why because for my end goal is not needed but Is just a personal goal.
@@aiiiia9971 the main course is basically doing one project per semester, like designing a public space, or residential.. The higher semester you are in the more complex the object to design.. For example: apartment is the level 1, house is level two, and the next mostly public spaces.. And the other courses are classes like learning CAD, 3D modelling, designing furniture, interior decoration, interior business and ect. Lots of making technical drawing (using AutoCAD), 3D modelling (using sketchup), 3D rendering with output pictures and videos (using Vray, Enscape etc), making 3D maquette, lots of the exhibition events, and workshop
develop designs to suit clients' needs, their budget, and the type of building. prepare initial sketches and mood boards for the client to approve. advise on use of space, colour schemes, fabrics, fittings and furniture. work out costs and prepare estimates.
Everyone is talking about how much they have achieved and yet still haven't felt fulfilled anything, meanwhile me being grateful and praising God no matter the sitsuation is. I personally believe like the apostles and disciples, and especially solomon, that we can get all the richest and freedom we want but there will always be an empty spot that our spirit has been longing for, and that is a relationship with God, Welcoming God to your life and letting him fill that empty space, he will fill it with reasurrance, peace, true joy, unfailing love.
I’m happy with how you always end these kinds of videos with prioritizing your happiness and satisfaction in life- many times when I try to be productive, I go too far and end up feeling anxious and worn out, but now I’m learning to enjoy myself while being productive. Thank you so much!
I felt soooo lost after I had finished my studies, and what helped me was reaching out to other people, mostly my friends, and sharing our different points of view and stories in life just made me get out of my bubble and realize my problems and struggles weren't as big as I thought they were ; I also needed a looot of introspection to admit to myself what I *really* wanted to do with my life, and then work towards that new found goal. Now I'm 26 and I feel soooo free, far away from school, and accomplishing my dreams one by one!
Thank You Amy Wang for posting this video!!! I realized that most of the time, I had a low perception of myself. I always think if things didn't go well then it is my fault. If other people opinions most of the time are better than mine. That other people is better than mine. Somethings like this, makes me doubt myself, felt like im less better, not confident, lower than other people. But in reality, I'm not like that. Maybe this perception of mine is happening because of the past or my environment. But I should not feel that my value is lower than other people, I should not feel that my ideas, my opinion is not as good as other people. I should believe in my own value. So when I watch this video, and find out that I will be okay as long as I realize in my own value, my education, my skills, my habit, and other things, I will be alright. Right now I'm still learning to be more confident and learn to believe in myself more. I hope I'm getting better and better. Once again, thank you Amy!!❤❤
I just wanna say thank you for this because yesterday I was questioning all my life choices, comparing myself with the people who clearly have different goals. I just wanted to remind myself of the choices and the chain reactions of the same and what my ultimate goal is. Thank you.
Don’t be scared, you learn so much about yourself and you will change into a person you hate, and then into someone you adore. I promise it’s lovely ☺️ ❤
Don't be. I'm 27 and in my opinion, I enjoy life way more now than I did when I had your age. I'm a lot more free and wise and I get treated like an adult instead of a kid.
I'm 20 and i remember being 17 like it was yesterday and I get you, I too am scared of growing up but I think this fear goes away with time cause my fear of growing up has decreased over time
Nowadays we feel like our life is over by the time we reach adulthood, but an average person lives, what, 80 years? So you're not even half-way through your life. Hold on to your dreams. If they don't work out now, they will in the future, as long as you keep working towards them-you still have a lot of time left. It's really tiring how hard and how long you must work for your goals, but if they were easy to get, they wouldn't be worth fighting for :-)
i'm turning 25 in a few months but honestly i wish I heard these when i was younger. I haven't got anything figured out. I'm moving out of town for a job next week and i'm scared tbh, but this video just ensured me to take a step outside of my comfort zone. Thanks for making this video!
I turned 20 this year, and it hit me. I'm 20, this is really refreshing to watch, knowing that through the highs and lows that I've experienced in the past 20 years, I've actually subconsciously started implementing a lot of these tips and applied this mindset!! I love videos like this, especially as the eldest daughter in an Asian household, thank you so much for making this, I really relate to this
I just turn 22, I’m still looking for a job and it’s really tired. Sometimes I feel so useless, but after watch this video, I think I need to be happy cuz I need to treasure my youth!❤
just turned 21 studying a degree i don't have an interest in and i feel so so lost right now. even the first advice in this video: start with an end in mind, is so hard for me lol. i just don't know what i'm doing anymore or what to dod next. hopefully i'll be able to know what i actually want out of life soon :')
I love you so much, but more than this I admire you. Even as a stranger, you've helped me think outside the box and stopping being depressed that I am almost 25 and I finished 2 universities, but not a job.
I’m getting my associate degree bc my parents are willing to pay for two years of college. After that I’m traveling the world, it has been my dream to travel and I hate staying in one place. My end is having these experiences, settling down with my S/O maybe in the Netherlands and starting my own daycare center.
You are so inspirational. I didn't get into any of my dream colleges despite all my hard work. I will try again next year but I want you to know that you are doing so good ❤
Amy thank you for your video. I'm 24 years old, never went to college and only now started my self improvement journey. Your video has put me at ease knowing that I'm not the only one who hasn't figured out what i want to do with their life and that there's others out there just like me.
I’m 37, but all of what you shared is absolutely incredible! I feel like I’m just getting into the prime of my career/life, so a lot of great things are happening. Yet, these lessons are so valuable for me. Thanks for this video!
just got my bachelor’s degree at 25 and y’all have no idea how dumb and behind i feel 😭 i was thankfully able to do most of the stuff that she said here but man the shame of graduating “late” isn’t talked about enough 😔
reading self help book hasn't done anything for me. It just makes me sad because it makes me feel like i'm doing something but then I realise that I'm not.
I’m in my 20s and I have never felt this lost, so thank you for this. I need to pause the video for a while to write this haha. Thank you for opening my mind, I am pursuing something at the moment as I have completed my degree but I am thinking of what to do with my life in the long run. Honestly, I don’t know but I surely will get there. I came from your how to improve your attention span and allow me to thank you for your videos and just everything you say. Thank you for giving me the courage that it’s okay not to figure out everything about life at my 20s but I can start doing it, step by step. ❤❤
I'm 19 and rn in my final semester of my pre-u studies. Time is getting fast af. Most of my family members said that teaching pathway is a valid choice since it's related to my course, but I know myself I won't be happy for the next 10-30 years in that pathway. Hell, teaching kids or (worse) my peers just stress me every single day (just want to put a clarification there). But writing stories is genuinely my favourite thing. It has embedded in me since 2020 and nothing makes me happier than being in that career. But like you mentioned, put your beliefs above your parents and think of them as advisors, not managers.
l love this video so much thank you for posting it l am 22 this year and l am starting uni in October, I feel like everyone else is so ahead of me the course will take me five years and I'm not sure if it is the right fit for me but l am trying to remain positive I cried watching it
turning 24 in december. thank you so much for this! this means a lot! :) just graduated from csulb this past spring. transferred from orange coast college. spent an extra year from switching majors. engineering -> business marketing. applying for jobs rn. i still feel lost
After watching this video i think it's going to become one of my favourite videos to watch over and over to remind myself of these things you said. I tend to struggle with managing my time to do meaningful things, I often feel like I'm not doing my best even with hobbies and free time and I'm on a journey of fixing my mental health issues and builiding a strong mind. As a person that turned 18 a few months ago I start to feel the responsibilites of college and figuring my whole life ahead, while feling lost in the adult world. This video really put a smile on my face and it's a great feeling to hear such good advices. Thank you :)) 🌸🌸
I'm 23 and I have just drop out of college, I have 0 knowledge about finance, credit card and taxes, and all of this is making me fearful, panicking. This video has made me feel less alone, thank you 💜✨️
I'm 25, and still to this day I can't believe people don't consider the end before taking on anything. I have always been like this my whole life, since I was 7 years old. I like to remind everyone, where are you going? What do you want? Why do you want it? And how can you achieve it? In the end, you are crafting your own life and your story. Care not what others think too much, be brave, keep a high spirit, and march forward.
right, but the problem is knowing as you do the thing you'll change as a person and therefore change what you want. I hate it, how can I trust my judgment when there's so many things I regret or am glad I never did and time keeps ticking on, everything feels like the wrong choice.
I'm 19 now, I choose coding faculty, and never got any job in my life (at least for now) But I must say, your advices didn't help me... But not because they're not good, they're precious, but I already have them in my mind since my 18~ You see, I lost my entire childhood and adolescence due to my family... Trauma is much more serious than it looks like, believe me... But was exactly for it that I were able to get my mind through the thoughts in your video. When I healed myself from most of my trauma in my 16s, everything I wanted was to gain as max as experience I could get... No matter if I was wrong or hurt myself, every single of these would be of some use for me... And I was right. Most of them were complete mistakes and hurts, and they all helped me improve and have a more built mind. And with 18 years old, I already saw myself pretty mature. I discovered so much about myself, so much about things that I love, also about how I want a calm and cosy life... Ahh... I can really be in peace with myself. Trauma did played a great role to build myself, made me don't have a life that I could think now that's more easy like a lot of people do when they become adults, and boosted me up to be healthy with myself and don't let me get down like I was doing before... But even if I can say it helped to build me, I can never say that it defines me. I am Aurora, a trans girl who loves cosy and cute things and bright colors (principally pink and white), and no one will ever be allowed to change me.
I'm a university student. I have seen my classmates taking part in different things but when it comes to me, I don't feel like being super active in being a part of the university activities. I even feel like a loser. But it's not like that I don't have a vision or goal. No. I'm working towards it but still I feel like a failure for not being that much active in the uni activities.
Aye I'm 26 and I was like shyt- I already lost my last chance 😱 But this made me realize some stuff about my current situation 🥲 I'm already on my 3rd year of med school and I feel like idk shyt, haven't matured and get so stressed with the unhealthy lifestyle that rn I'm slacking instead of studying 😭 then while watching this I thought.... I do like learning but at my own pace. And I met some really good people here and enjoyed moments with them. I really do feel like quitting my game rn but I also think that I might regret it in the future since I'm so close yet so far. Its a really bitter-sweet relationship but this made me decide to push forward because I don't wanna regret not being able to cross the finish line. Thank you for popping on my feed 🥰 Hahahah
24 years old and on my fourth semester. Failing most of the subjects every semester and not knowing what to do. Just found you today Amy. Thank you for your video maybe I can try those suggestions and find my way out 🤞🏻🤞🏻
I'm 21, almost 22, and I'm in college. I'm working hard, and I'm still figuring myself out. this video is so helpful to me, i want to carry this with me. What do I truly want to do yet? I don't know. and i know i still need to do a lot of soul searching. hopefully i can learn to embrace life and all these moments, find more fulfillment in my life and self, and become more authentic and free
Really needed this video, im 18 and im finishing trade school this week. I got a job offer from a commercial HVAC company that will give me good benefits and pay. But it doesn’t lead me in the direction I want to go in. I want to do my own work on the side take my own money independently and you have inspired me to towards a company. I’ll help me focus in this field more. Thank you!
This is also a good reminder for the paradox of choice. The only way to know what the "right" decision was is by looking in retrospect as you can only control yourself and hope the world responds the way you want it to. The best you can do is to try and move forward with the information you have in the present.
I'm 14 yr old but still it helped me a lot to know what to do and what not when I'm gonna be in that age of 18-24 thx a lot lots of love from India i love ur video as it helped to grow my attention span
I turn 24 in 3 months and felt like I could have done a lot more with my life, socially, academically and professionally. I’m going back for a degree this September and try to remind myself that it isn’t over and I still have so much time left to figure things out. It’s not a race guys.
before i watched this video, i've been having the idea of needing some alone and quiet time so that it gives me motivation to finish my tasks. after watching this video, i decided to focus on finishing my tasks quickly so that i can spend more time with my family. thank you for making this video, you gave me another reason to stay productive and more motivated for my work! i'm still trying to figure out what to do in my life exactly as a 22 years old but i'll follow your advice and hopefully I can shape the life i want to live. thanks again!
I'm currently 21. I've not been in University yet. I had to drop last year because of some issues. Now I feel so much pressured because I'm the one who ain't in University yet among my batch. There is one last Exam left and InshaAllah I'm gonna ace it..Thank you for the talks. It's giving me motivation and purpose..I'm your new subscriber.. ❣️
18-35 is more appropriate since that’s ‘YA age range’ though that’s just for marketing and census purposes in general, just focus on your own personal timeline and what fulfills you most of all. i’m still just in my 20s yet for the past few years i’ve decided to hammer in on healing at my own pace, because life feels way more fulfilling that way. then 2y ago i started to hone in one what i actually want to do with my life, and after that i am here now with more resources, communities, and a healthier mindspace, all because i prioritized my soul first the Process is the destination itself. don’t worry about age ranges, just keep being alive, live in the present, do your own thing, and enjoy yourself; Bill Hicks said it best “today a young man on acid realized, that all matter is merely energy condensed to a slow vibration, that we are all one consciousness experiencing itself, subjectively; there is no such thing as death, life is only a dream, and we are the imagination of ourselves. 10days later... Turning 17, I still really don't know what to do, I don't even know if I'm doing things right. But, Still am working and searching for it. Hoping that I will pass school. Thank you for this video! Now I feel like I know where to start^^
Hi Amy. Appreciate your response to my comment about your Spotify success in India. Loved this video. Can you make one about if someone is in their late 20s (29) and is lost in life and having an existential crisis about turning 30?? 😅
I am 24 and I have to get up, do something bc I dont want to waste my future self but Ive been stuck in depression since March and I have to get up to do something I need help
I'm really sorry to hear that you've been struggling with depression. It's understandable that feeling stuck can be overwhelming and discouraging. Consider talking to a trusted friend or family member about what you're going through. Sometimes sharing your feelings can help lighten the burden. A therapist can provide support and guidance to your specific situation. They can help you develop coping strategies and work through the challenges you're facing. If you break tasks down into smaller, manageable steps, things can be less overwhelming. Even if you don't feel like it at first, engaging in activities you used to enjoy or trying new hobbies can help lift your mood and provide a sense of accomplishment. If your depression is severe or persistent, medication prescribed by a healthcare professional may be helpful. Be kind to yourself during this challenging time. Recovery takes time, and setbacks are a normal part of the process. Remember, it's okay to ask for help and to take things one step at a time. You're not alone and there are people who care about your well-being. If you're ever in crisis or need immediate support, please reach out to a crisis hotline or emergency services in your area. Take care. :)
First of all you need to visit a psychiatrist for antidepressants, that will get you out of the loop. Then you need to visit a specialized therapist, a therapist will guide you through the reasons for your depression and give you tools to manage it. Coaching (like this video) won't help you. You're welcome.
I feel you. I've been stuck for a year but it's like what @melissa.dabbah said visit a therapist if needed and if it's severe like in my case, you can get medication for that and take it one step at a time. engage in old hobbies or try new things to lift up your mood and most importantly speaking from personal experience, ik in my case, sleep is a critical factor. make sure you're sleeping well (not sleeping so late), stay hydrated and eat well
Thank you very much for this, I'm at this age where i have to start figuring out stuff myself and especially being far from everyone so yea its kinda hard, i needed something like this to hear cause i was really doubting myself and figuring how to be motivated despite liking what choices I made I felt a bit lost thinking i might fail.
Every once in a while, it is encouraging to meet a young person, who to some extent advances the same principles that are dear to my heart when teaching inspiring messages to businessmen, businesswomen, managers, and CEOs. What you have said is music to my ears; it reinforces everything I have been saying. Thank you for your valuable contributions. I wish you the very best in your endeavours. Keep up the excellent work!
I'll be 20 this year and will be a 3rd year student. I'm so down and pressured. I don't know what to do anymore with my life. I've been thinking so much lately about my future. But your vid gave me hope. Thank you so muchh!♡♡

I'm 18 from India I used to be a people pleaser until I was in school but when I entered high school or 11th class I moved to another city and there I saw whole new world everyone was running behind something which they don't even know if that's what they want and even I was in that race I studied my whole strength courage A DEEP THANKS AND MORE THAN THAT TO MY MOM WHO HAS BEEN THROUGH THAT ROLLER COASTER WITH ME Then I landed in a medical college not much prestigious but kind of standard and good but really STRICT I don't know why but I started to feel this is not my path in life s So I have to analyse myself Deeper to see what would make me happy And keep my priorities straight and I really hope that u would get through this phase and find my happiness in some thing I love to do I understand that life needs a goal Like said in the video I need to visualize the end first rather than just blindly engaging in a road trip not knowing the destination OK ITS A LONG ESSAY I GUESS😅 SOO IF ANYONE HAS GOT ANY SUGGESTIONS LIKE HOBBIES OR THINGS TO DO WHICH MAKES YOU HAPPY PLEASE SHARE 🙏 ❤

There's a varieties of goal in people and yes your advice is uplift me so as a reminder for myself, it's freer to choose the life you want to live without being based on other people's standard lines it's very a good thing to learn about myself! not only help me with being myself and also be a lot more like giver to others too thank you sm❤
I'm glad I decided to just work after hs instead of going straight to college. I am much more confident that I made the right call. I feel like I would've been even more lost than I am now if I went to college.
I am 21 and a 3rd year student of Physiotherapy, I chose this course on my own and will most likely be graduating at 23/24 but lately I've been feeling like I made the wrong decision and I want to switch to medicine and surgery because the pay is certainly good and there is lots of jobs for doctors but that will entail me graduating when I'm about 27 based on my country's education system. I feel like I already wasted so many years and I feel stuck. I don't want to make a decision I'll regret.
26 right now. Im feeling very lost and stuck. Never traveled anywhere for a long period of time nor have i had any chances to soul search. Been stuck at a job with no real future for about a year. Idk. Im thankful i found this video but also just tired of everything right now. Heres some advice people in there 18's to 25's please learn how to do personal finance. It really helps you budget your life accordingly and help you when you need to switch into other things. Good luck everyone!
i'm an incoming freshman this fall for advertising and public relations and i'm so scared i won't get into any careers, that i'll regret pursuing interest over practicality. and i'm worried at the end just like you i realize i don't actually want to work in communications. but i'll take things by stride! thank you for this video :)
when I was 21 I dropped everything and went to China for two years. It ended up being the most formative and impactful experience in my life. Now, at 30, I am living in China, two years into my phd, and coach athletics to kids on the side. If I never went to China I dont know what id be doing right now.
I'm 25 and I'm still lost in life. I graduated college back in 2021 with a biochem degree and I couldn't find any decent work that is health related except for being a medical assisstant... something that only needs a high school diploma. So I've been doing that between 2021-now and I've decided to join the Air Force because I can't think of any other way to pivot my life in the right direction... I'm hoping the military will be able to help me find my inspirations.
Im 23 and had been doing IT since i was 17. I started to absolutely hate it at the end because i felt so bored and empty. I ended up quitting and now i am doing a business degree hopefully majoring in finance which i am enjoying so far
Your time with your parents may be shorter than you'd expect and if you love them, do try and spend lots of quality time with them. I moved abroad when I was 19, my mom came with me for two weeks. I went back to my country for a month, then the pandemic hit and I didn't see my family for a whole year and a half until I came back for a month at the end of 2021. That was the last time I saw my mom healthy. I had planned to come back for a month in summer 2023, but in April 2023 we learned that my mom had a final stage cancer. I went back two weeks, then the month in the summer. So in 4 years I saw my mom regularly only for a total of around 4 months. She passed in November. I didn't get to say goodbye, not even on the phone. Cherish your time with your family ❤️
I also think being part of the covid graduates during covid, really inhibited our ability to develop, and once we were in the work force we DRASTICALLY felt the lack of direction in who we wanted to be.

If anything I'm having a way better time than when I was a teen since I just got less fuccs to give and am less reserved about going after whatever I want now

well first off, congratulations on achieving those things! it didn't happen without hard work on your part. it is in our human nature to want change. things get boring after a while.
you might enjoy making something with your hands, like sewing or painting, or being outside in nature. but i think the best thing you could do for yourself is give your childhood dreams a second chance. the things you dreamt of before money was a thing you fully grasped. chances are, those same dreams are still in you. best of luck and happy 30s! :)

This is so true 💯
No, we mostly get things in life out of privilidge. I got so much being privilidged and doing little effort, got so little after loosing privilidge and working my ass off. FACTS.
Thank you. These types of videos are lowkey fear-mongering.
1.choices are chain reaction...
Begin with end in mind
Be purposeful with yout time and effort.
2. Build your human capital...
Read self-development books such as Atomic habits..7 habits of highly effective people... Influence is your superpower..
Self study..work on time management skills...
More mature people are the one who constantly try to improve themselves...
4. Learn through other's life
5. Push yourself out of comfort zone..
6. Remember that it's your life..
Believe in your own judgement..
Don't put pressure on yourself to win in some arbitrary race. Don't feel the need to force some productivity or achievement rating on what you've done with your life.

7. Priorities your happiness, health and fulfillment...
And apart from this video...one valuable lesson I have learned is that...Never let other people's perception of you dictate your behaviour..you will never grow as a person..But if you leave yourself open to experience despite what other think then you will learn and grow..✨🌼

So thanks Amy, cheers!
good job 👍
Happy Birthday

I feel so behind even by those who are younger than me. what to do with your life? LIVE.
CHASE THOSE DREAMS
Brother, what dreams? I don't even know what I want out of life I just know what everyone else does and thinks I should do. It's weird now having not just the right but the responsibility to pick and choose what path to take into my future when I have never had a good idea
@@aiiiia9971 you got me..This is what I'm going through
Allow yourself to make a few mistakes in life, don’t stress yourself in making the perfect choice but make sure each decision is backed by sufficient research and rationale. Trying too hard to make the “right” decisions will end up paralysing us and make us fearful of making the next step. Good luck!

Thank you.

I'm 20 and i remember being 17 like it was yesterday and I get you, I too am scared of growing up but I think this fear goes away with time cause my fear of growing up has decreased over time
Literally, knowing everything is gonna be on you is scary💔

Something that I realised is that we aren’t supposed to find ourselves or our purpose in life but we should create ourselves and our purpose.
I’m 30 this year everything feels impossible to reach I have so many dreams and hopes they’re all fading now
Nowadays we feel like our life is over by the time we reach adulthood, but an average person lives, what, 80 years? So you're not even half-way through your life. Hold on to your dreams. If they don't work out now, they will in the future, as long as you keep working towards them-you still have a lot of time left. It's really tiring how hard and how long you must work for your goals, but if they were easy to get, they wouldn't be worth fighting for :-)
I’m 24 now, I don’t know what imma do with my future. I won’t be able to afford a house and to have kids. I’m in the most depressed part of my life
i'm turning 25 in a few months but honestly i wish I heard these when i was younger. I haven't got anything figured out. I'm moving out of town for a job next week and i'm scared tbh, but this video just ensured me to take a step outside of my comfort zone. Thanks for making this video!
I was looking for your podcast on Spotify and your video notification popped up 😭💙
Wow so magical hehe
Amy's magic ✨@@wamyy5
I turned 20 this year, and it hit me. I'm 20, this is really refreshing to watch, knowing that through the highs and lows that I've experienced in the past 20 years, I've actually subconsciously started implementing a lot of these tips and applied this mindset!! I love videos like this, especially as the eldest daughter in an Asian household, thank you so much for making this, I really relate to this
I just turn 22, I’m still looking for a job and it’s really tired. Sometimes I feel so useless, but after watch this video, I think I need to be happy cuz I need to treasure my youth!❤
Couldn't skip a single second of this 😢. Tks Amy!
I'm 14 but I want to get ahead >:)
Hahaha I’m 14 too!!!
I'm 14 too,there 3 of us haha

You’re a child, just focus on doing great in school, enjoying your teens and figuring out what you’d like to do with your life in the future.
just turned 21 studying a degree i don't have an interest in and i feel so so lost right now. even the first advice in this video: start with an end in mind, is so hard for me lol. i just don't know what i'm doing anymore or what to dod next. hopefully i'll be able to know what i actually want out of life soon :')
I love you so much, but more than this I admire you. Even as a stranger, you've helped me think outside the box and stopping being depressed that I am almost 25 and I finished 2 universities, but not a job.
Just turned 17 few days ago but still watching the video because the earlier the better...
Btw sister u are looking stunning as always ❤❤
I’m getting my associate degree bc my parents are willing to pay for two years of college. After that I’m traveling the world, it has been my dream to travel and I hate staying in one place. My end is having these experiences, settling down with my S/O maybe in the Netherlands and starting my own daycare center.
You are so inspirational. I didn't get into any of my dream colleges despite all my hard work. I will try again next year but I want you to know that you are doing so good ❤
Better things are coming ❤💫
Best of luck 😁
Don’t worry, keep trying and you’ll get into a BETTER college!! I believe in you ✨💖🫶

Wonderful! Rooting for you - it’s never too late. Really inspired by people like you who are continually learning :)
just got my bachelor’s degree at 25 and y’all have no idea how dumb and behind i feel 😭 i was thankfully able to do most of the stuff that she said here but man the shame of graduating “late” isn’t talked about enough 😔
reading self help book hasn't done anything for me.

What a good timing! I will be turning 25 in a few months, so i think this is going to be useful.
But like you mentioned, put your beliefs above your parents and think of them as advisors, not managers.
l love this video so much thank you for posting it l am 22 this year and l am starting uni in October, I feel like everyone else is so ahead of me the course will take me five years and I'm not sure if it is the right fit for me but l am trying to remain positive I cried watching it
You've got this 🙏 I believe in you !
turning 24 in december. thank you so much for this! this means a lot!
Thank you :)) 🌸🌸
Unexpectedly the least anxiety inducing video on this topic! Thanks so much for this!!
I'm 19 now, I choose coding faculty, and never got any job in my life (at least for now)
But I must say, your advices didn't help me... But not because they're not good, they're precious, but I already have them in my mind since my 18~
You see, I lost my entire childhood and adolescence due to my family...
It feels like you're my older sister who is guiding me. Thank you for your advice. Much love.
You can do it :) Best of luck with the rest of med school!
24 years old and on my fourth semester. Failing most of the subjects every semester and not knowing what to do.
Just found you today Amy. Thank you for your video maybe I can try those suggestions and find my way out 🤞🏻🤞🏻
I'm 23 right now, Thanks amy for opening my eyes to a new phase of world experiences. Now I am motivated than ever to do something more with my life.
I'm 14 yr old but still it helped me a lot to know what to do and what not when I'm gonna be in that age of 18-24 thx a lot

I turn 24 in 3 months and felt like I could have done a lot more with my life, socially, academically and professionally. I’m going back for a degree this September and try to remind myself that it isn’t over and I still have so much time left to figure things out. It’s not a race guys.

Wow this feel nice , I'm entering college next 2 weeks as a freshman, its really helpful that this type of video popped up in my reccomendation
Me recently turning 25: 💀
18-35 is more appropriate since that’s ‘YA age range’ though that’s just for marketing and census purposes
in general, just focus on your own personal timeline and what fulfills you most of all. i’m still just in my 20s yet for the past few years i’ve decided to hammer in on healing at my own pace, because life feels way more fulfilling that way. then 2y ago i started to hone in one what i actually want to do with my life, and after that i am here now with more resources, communities, and a healthier mindspace, all because i prioritized my soul first
the Process is the destination itself. don’t worry about age ranges, just keep being alive, live in the present, do your own thing, and enjoy yourself; Bill Hicks said it best
“today a young man on acid realized, that all matter is merely energy condensed to a slow vibration, that we are all one consciousness experiencing itself, subjectively; there is no such thing as death, life is only a dream, and we are the imagination of ourselves. Here’s Tom with the weather.”
😅
Idk if she can help with that because she is only 24
I am 24 and I have to get up, do something bc I dont want to waste my future self but Ive been stuck in depression since March and I have to get up to do something
I need help
Take care. :)
It's alright, all storms come to an end and this will too!

No one really has it all figured out
17 is when i started to get serious in life, 18-19 when i question my life what would be my future? how can i be succesful? now im 20 and still have a mindset to be a succesful engineer
Damn, the infamous quote "Time is gold" really feels a lot more relevant now
I'm 18 from India
I used to be a people pleaser until I was in school but when I entered high school or 11th class I moved to another city and there I saw whole new world everyone was running behind something which they don't even know if that's what they want and even I was in that race
I studied my whole strength courage A DEEP THANKS AND MORE THAN THAT TO MY MOM WHO HAS BEEN THROUGH THAT ROLLER COASTER WITH ME
Then I landed in a medical college not much prestigious but kind of standard and good but really STRICT
I don't know why but I started to feel this is not my path in life s
So I have to analyse myself
Deeper to see what would make me happy
And keep my priorities straight and
I really hope that u would get through this phase and find my happiness in some thing I love to do
I understand that life needs a goal
Like said in the video I need to visualize the end first rather than just blindly engaging in a road trip not knowing the destination
OK ITS A LONG ESSAY I GUESS😅 SOO IF ANYONE HAS GOT ANY SUGGESTIONS LIKE HOBBIES OR THINGS TO DO WHICH MAKES YOU HAPPY

There's a varieties of goal in people and yes your advice is uplift me so as a reminder for myself, it's freer to choose the life you want to live without being based on other people's standard lines it's very a good thing to learn about myself! not only help me with being myself and also be a lot more like giver to others too thank you sm❤
well, this makes sense, but its really hard for some people to know the end goal. sometimes we dont know what we want
I ended up quitting and now i am doing a business degree hopefully majoring in finance which i am enjoying so far
how do you think finance will be any less boring and empty..
thank you older sister!
Great advice and its not to late for me to be the better me. Thank you. I do agree reading is such a great way to get more knowledge.
Im 23. Im JUST getting into it. I am jealous of many people
