The habit I want to build is to stay consistent in my running. This is because I’m planning to go to cross country soon, and I want to become faster, and walk less (or no walking) during when I run 3 miles. I’m going to plan on doing it everyday because we have practice everyday (but I won’t go every day bc I’m sometimes busy) so I’ll be motivating myself because I always think to myself on my streak on how many days I run. Thank you Amy for asking! ❤🎉

Hey Amy, as a former star student who burned out after receiving his Masters in Telecommunications Engineering, who is now 37, living at home with his parents and completely lost in direction ….. you are phenomenal. Thank You for this.
Right?! I get that Atomic Habits works really well for some people's brains, but if the basis of your 'how to stay consistent' guide, is 'make it a habit', then your guide to staying consistent is to... be consistent..? The concept of making a habit is literally foreign to me, like, I do not understand how you build a habit. I can go to the bathroom, look at my toothbrush and think 'I should brush my teeth' and still not do it, because the brain don't be braining. Like, how does one develop a habit? How do you do something without thinking about it? It just doesn't make any sense!
🤣 exactly what i was thinking. I actually DO have to remind myself to brush my teeth every morning and night. I actually do have to remind myself to shower and change my clothes and brush my hair. Yes its exhausting. Only automatic behaviours for me are cravings and impulses… and no one can ride those for long and not fall into dysfunction.
Cue: looking at my arms/muscles, craving: getting a pump/getting stronger, response: working out, reward: satisfaction of hard workout/ getting a pump. The rest of the video I understood as making it more accessible to make your good habits(easier to start studying/ doing homework) and more work or more difficult to make bad habits(hide your phone and for me put Rubix cubes away from me). Also, reward and acknowledge when you do good such as checking off days you study or rewarding yourself as soon as you complete the task that you need to do; as well as doing the opposite by punishing bad habits.
Cue: looking at my vision board/refining my life vision Craving: to align the life I am currently living with the life I want to live! Response: working on my business, planning for my goals Reward: bringing my life in closer alignment with my dream life!

Day 1 of First time doing a self-reflection video: Tip 1- Make Your Habit Consistent(How?) Think of it like your game, Everything starts at one place. Use that 1% as your visual and you will benefit from it. Tip 2- As stated in tip 1, (My Habit loop is playing video games which i happened to drop recently to improve myself as a better student) Like in a video game there will be a reward that will benefit your character. Reflect on what you do and try to look at the bright side and continue to do it because you will benefit from it. Trust the process you will receive your reward and help you save some stress Tip 3- Find your Problem and Figure out how to deal with it. Find those problems And Solve them. You can solve them i know, You just need to find it Attractive or More reason to Solve it and fix those bad habits or problems that you are dealing. Find what is suitable for you, What learning style can you imply and what experience can you gain from it. Everyone has mistakes Don't be afraid to try an experiment on some different answers. Have fun and be satisfied with the results, Because you deserved it for your hard work. (Don't think what you can't do, Think what you can do and Improve at it and be better at it) Thanks for the video ❤
I actually discovered this channel like two or three days ago and damn she says some real things here, I watched a lot of your videos and It has had made some changes and I'm looking forward to more from her, y'all should actually listen to her, she gives unique tips and tricks and what to do and what not to. the only habit loop i could find was art the cues are - an artwork i see on the internet, emotions, or just a random idea the craving is - to just draw it, (even of its just a rough silhouette) the response is - to draw it (and probably loose all the track of time, literally spent 7 and a half hours on drawing, still not done with it TOT) and the results are - satisfactory art work, my dustbin filled with paper, neck and back pain, or the positive side.. getting a diploma in fine arts at the age of 15 have my whole future planned out or letting my emotions out on a piece of paper that no one an read, and just eplore about something that has been my whole life
Cue: study focus mode on iPad plus aesthetic study motivational pics at 2pm Craving: practice tests and feynman esque babbling Response: sitting down and preparing my study area Reward: atleast five minutes of studying for the day I wanna set the standard lower than my self esteem and self sabotage
cue: leaving my clothes and exercising gear all visible, so i can organize myself better craving: desire to workout and feeling my best response: wearing the clothes, putting my gear on the place ill use for the workout and actually doing the workout reward: feeling physically and mentally better, ready to start my day, feeling confident and feeling like i 'deserve' to rest on the end of the day
@@wamyy5 Grounded in sense first you check comment and content is according to what people want to improve. 2nd- Advice you give are more grounded in a way it can be applied by a person like me who has Ptsd, trauma, low attention span.. I can do it step by step which u show.. Alot of youtubers who are doctors or well educated they seem to assume the level of their consumer near theirs so language is more complex and hard to follow ( my experience). No offense to them, more power to them, just telling from my perspective who have consumed alot of self help content.. Yours the one it feels like a person like me can apply.. it's my day to consume your content I will apply them from tomorrow.. also how you tell in one video to follow two advice in a week etc.... and the fact that with 400k subscriber you are reading and commenting which alot of them don't do even after 100k.., It makes the concent quality "grounded" in that way. Also like you suggested to watch content in 1× speed in one video. , it feels genuinely wanting to help other and not just limited to make people consume your content and gain view.. all these things makes your content unique and grounded. There is kind of rawness in your speaking and content.. please never change .hope that answers your clear it, English is not my 1st or 2nd language so not good with making other understand.

I got full marks on all of my subjects in our first exam of the year ( which was 20 marks and we have 6 subjects) and then i came in third among 47 students and came jn 7th among 156 students.in our 100 marks exam. “If you had to consciously do everything in your life that would be really exhausting” welcome to adhd and it is exhausting
“You don’t need to remind yourself to brush your teeth every night right?”
Right?!?!
*Cries in ADHD*
@@franimationcentral7157 I might just start giving myself a sticker every time I do something I don’t want to
🤣 exactly what i was thinking.
I have genuinely learnt and grown so much through your videos. Thank you so much Amy

HI! I write from Italy, a country in which study strategies date back to the 1920s. I just finished exploring Genspark and Thea and I feel like I already have the master's thesis in hand. Furthermore, as an elementary school teacher I will adapt a lesson to explain their usefulness and set up study practices for this century with my students. You are making a difference for more than one person. Thank you so much.

Much NEEDED, THANKS GIRL❤❤❤
I have already read the book but still watching because she explains so well 💖
Your video was incredibly helpful! This is exactly the kind of advice I’ve been searching for. Thank you so much!
Day 1 of First time doing a self-reflection video:
Tip 1- Make Your Habit Consistent(How?) Think of it like your game, Everything starts at one place.
Trust the process you will receive your reward and help you save some stress
Tip 3- Find your Problem and Figure out how to deal with it.
Cue: Playlist of the April Han's Workouts
Craving: Shedding kilos b4 2025
Response: doing the workouts
Reward: being satisfied with myself and my body

cue : the my books on the table
craving : to read it
the only habit loop i could find was art
the cues are - an artwork i see on the internet, emotions, or just a random idea
the craving is - to just draw it, (even of its just a rough silhouette)
the response is - to draw it (and probably loose all the track of time, literally spent 7 and a half hours on drawing, still not done with it TOT)
and the results are - satisfactory art work, my dustbin filled with paper, neck and back pain, or the positive side.. getting a diploma in fine arts at the age of 15 have my whole future planned out or letting my emotions out on a piece of paper that no one an read, and just eplore about something that has been my whole life
STOPPP I NEEDED THIS
AAAAAA amy posted!! 💜 literally luv u consistent queen who's making us consistent princesses (ur so pretty!!)
Cue: study focus mode on iPad plus aesthetic study motivational pics at 2pm
Craving: practice tests and feynman esque babbling
Response: sitting down and preparing my study area
Reward: atleast five minutes of studying for the day
I wanna set the standard lower than my self esteem and self sabotage
cue: leaving my clothes and exercising gear all visible, so i can organize myself better
craving: desire to workout and feeling my best
response: wearing the clothes, putting my gear on the place ill use for the workout and actually doing the workout
reward: feeling physically and mentally better, ready to start my day, feeling confident and feeling like i 'deserve' to rest on the end of the day
You got a subscriber! please keep doing these topics, your choice of topics are grounded imo not like others
More to come! Thanks so much! What do you mean by grounded? Just so I can make sure I continue doing a good job!
@@wamyy5
Grounded in sense first you check comment and content is according to what people want to improve.
There is kind of rawness in your speaking and content.. please never change
.hope that answers your clear it, English is not my 1st or 2nd language so not good with making other understand.
@@chriscyborg2187 Wow, thank you so so much for taking time and energy out of your precious day to let me know these detailed thoughts! I have screenshotted it and I will surely come back to it to remind myself to always maintain hope in being myself, even when times get tough. Thanks so much. Also, your English is fantastic! I couldn't even tell it wasn't your first language :)

Hi Amy i wanted to tell you about my academic goals and experiences this year ( i live in a country where a new school year starts from January and ends in november) So i really wanted to be in the top 3 this year bc i wasn't consistent and that good of a student llast year in grade 4. So i started studying by doing to do lists and sticking to my schedule. During the first 2-3 months i had A LOT of anxiety but then i slowly recovered. Now im currently studying for my 2nd mt test ( which are 20 marks) and im so so happy that i found your channel to help we with the rest of my year bc now after watching your videos i feel more consistent, motivated, and more confident about myself.

I see your study videos and that reminds me that i should start studying and i go down stairs (begrudgingly) and do my work, after that I feel good about myself
I was cleaning my room while listening to this video (and other videos) because I need to listen to something while I work and I rather listen to something useful than music, so I think I'll make this a habit. Clean every Sunday while listening to your videos.
