I think a 2 layer cake with raspberry jam in the middle and then chocolate frosting with raspberries! I don’t eat this stuff often but I think I’ve found my Christmas cake ( for me! )

Just made the cake portion. Did half the recipe and more water. Put into two microwave dishes and microwaved for 6 min. Quicker way to make when u r craving chocolate quickly.
Hi. Thank you for the recipe. Used spelt flour for first time. Yippee! Made my first date paste too. I took the cake out 8 minutes early and toothpick was clean but should've kept in oven full 30 minutes. It tasted good but very rich. I made the sweet potato frosting and it did taste like sweet potatoes. My husband would not like it. Did frosting need to chill awhile? I did add walnuts to top of brownie cake before baking. Since I did not care for frosting, I used some mixed up cocoa powder and organic pure maple syrup and swirl on top. Another idea is no sugar strawberry jam homemade by mashing strawberries, splash of lemon juice, dash of date paste. I appreciate your tutorials and happy 30th birthday!

I do like the new format, and I think this cake sounds great. I too loved brownies, but I don't like gooey brownies, which is what you get when you make them with black beans. More cake-like is da bomb! I also have a birthday coming up near the end of the month, and I'll make this then.

Mine turned out pretty similar to the look of hers by using whole wheat, AP, and oats blitzed in my coffee grinder. Measure carefully because when you're using this narrow a ratio of dry to wet ingredients and more fiberful flours, it's pretty easy to come out dry.
