I'm in the United States, so I can't gift my friend any cool things for the holidays. Last year I got her an espresso machine for graduating, and this year she got her own apartment. I plan to ship her this grinder for her beginners espresso machine I got her last year and because it's also a house warming gift. We've been friends for years, so we always get each other something every holiday. I'm excited to gift her this!
@Bluesocks wow nice friendship,yes she will be happy for sure this grinder is perfect for beginners or for at home. But since I put washers inside getting more better I think it also good for smalll coffee shop
@augusto i think thats not a good idea adjusting the size of grinder while running 🫣 it will damage your burs, i made it once then since that time ive never repeat it again
Guys! Beware before doing this, when you reapply the bottom burr, ALWAYS aline it with the little metal bump part and the little crevice underneath the burr! If you don't do that the grinder will NOT work and it will damage the machine.
@@Baristamrreal your video was awesome dude helped me a lot. Though I missed the part cause I am kinda dumb you know lol and I almost damaged it.... But no your video was 100% correct just didn't want anyone else making the same mistake as I did!
How is the retention with this machine, heard it's pretty bad, and I'm always swapping the coffee I drink for the one that better suits me at the time, so is this a good machine for single dose? Or am I gonna have a couple of muddy shots every time i switch grounds?
@sebastiao for me ? I’m also trying different beans, of course every beans have different profiles and flavors. So every time you swap beans you should already know the grind size settings. According to your calibration and taste, you can also write down the settings for every packaging of your beans to be more easier for you 😊 o hope this will helps you, and let me know please, thanks
@Binh Ly oh yeah I didn’t see your comment it was already 4weeks. I forgotten already the diameter but I will inform you as soon as I get it I need to measure it
@@j.r.j.r.9027 do you have the same grinder graef cm702? Because it’s included inside the box just please check properly its in small plastic 3 washers but they’re different thickness
Yes i have the same model and i have the 3 washers. When i remove the grinding spindle there are no washers present. If i place a washer under the spindle I think it grind even finer. Any suggestions?
@J.R J.R. try to change the washers because theyre not the same thickness, look how i made it. The washers are unders the grinder blade not on top.. Remove the nuts on top then take out the blade then you can see some wahers then replace with other washers..
What is the size of the washers? What diameter?
@Daniel it’s a 7milimeter but they’re different thickness
@@Baristamrreal thank you. I have already tried classic washer, but it doesnt work, because it is too fat. The original graef washers are very thin.
@@dtjrrt yes they’re thin. Did you tried to put only 1wahers?
@@Baristamrreal 7mm inner I suppose? I need to get one too
@@GrooveKiddo yup 👍 just try them, because it’s really good since i put some washers, im satisfied with it
It worked. Thanks a lot. Fine 12 setting ok with DL Dedica espresso, now.
@cem congratulations 🎊🎉🍾☺️♥️👌🏽 you’re welcome enjoy

Nice thanks bro you made it. Happy for you
One tip: when adjusting to finer setting ALWAYS have the grinder running. You can adjust to coarser with the grinder off.

what is the diameter of the substrate?
Even without extra washers, no coffee comes out of the grinder below grind size 10, it accumulates in it and I need to shake or hit it to get it out.
@Ahmet check your washers inside maybe they’re so much just open it then you’ll see
@@Baristamrreal there are two washers inside it, one is like the extra ones, other one is a little thicker. Isn't this the standart?

Hey :) Cool setup! Can you pls tell me where did you buy those washers?
I got it from Graef you can order online. But try also in hardware I think they have same washers
They come with the grinder in a rolled up plastic bag. Wonder why they don't mention them and the mod in the manual.
What is the diameter on the inside and outside? Trying to find a washer here but it is too big and doesn’t fit.

Try to check the washers inside maybe you need to change them with the other washers
