I have the same year paid 4500 for mine but they were originally asking 5900. The dealership thought there was 222000 miles on it. Got it home and found a receipt tucked inside the owners manual, the previous owner had the original motor replaced at 212000 miles with a used motor with only 108000 miles on it. So I paid less for the truck than the previous owner had paid to have the motor replaced. I got a hell of a deal on mine but it's not everyday something miraculous like that happens lol
Nice truck. As another F150 owner I can help with the most common problems. First and easiest is the fuel pump control module, on the frame rail above the spare tire. Next is the integrated wheel ends (IWE), they mate the hub and CV axle. I recommend getting IWE eliminators instead of replacement factory IWEs. The biggest and most expensive is the oil pump. The oil pump in the 3v 5.4 are trash and fail often. Melling makes better than stock replacements, but if your cam phasers are rattling or you're getting chain slap, best replace the whole timing kit along with the oil pump. Updated OEM phasers are recommended along with 2v cast iron tensioners. If you have bad phasers and don't fix the timing problem and oil pump, you'll eventually have to either rebuild or replace the engine. The 3v 5.4 is very temperamental and doesn't particularly like cheap parts. Also, as I'm sure you're already aware, the spark plugs have a habit of snapping off in the heads. However, there is a removal tool to get them out without pulling the heads. Last, the exhaust manifolds like to crack, and the exhaust bolts like to snap. There are removal kits for that as well but most people have success removing them through other means. I hope these tips can help save you some trouble in the future.
I can honestly say I don't think I would have paid more than 3K for it with all those issues. Frame and Body rust I don't see it as a small thing, once it starts it's almost impossible to get it to stop.
@@Mattgx2012 I bought a 2009 f150 in 2017 with 107k on it. This has been a great truck, I did have to replace the fuel pump relay, a transmission sensor and a few other sensors ,but just general maintenance a few seals and gaskets brakes n rotors. It has 199k on it. The tranny does at times downshift hard that's starting to worry me a bit .
or you could just look under the dash and read off your door code off the black module there against the wall. you will pay 50 dollars just to change the code for it to maybe work. just use the factory code man.
hard to say on the value. yeah its got 116k miles but its got an insane rust issue. personally i wouldnt have spent 7700 on it but then again i dont live in the rust belt.
OVER PRICED FOR BEING RUSTED! $5K WOULD HAD BEEN A DEAL.........ALMOST $8K FOR ALL THEM HOLES ? I BET THE ENTIRE BOTTOM IS ALL RUSTED OUT AS WELL.....NO THANK YOU

Love the newer gen FX4 decals. Was just thinking of how they’d look when I saw them on your truck. Hope you’re enjoying it!

@@dannysharp3729 overall it was a fantastic truck. I sold it in 2021 because it had frame rot which is tragic. Now I have a 2020!

You payed way too much bro that truck is worth about 5k but it's still a cool truck God bless
I agree, 2 years later it still runs and drives great but the rust is eating away at everything
Damn lol I got a 2004 and it’s not even close to rusting like that😂urs don’t cost no more than 5k
Just keep pelting them hamsters at the truck I'm sure one'll find the hole lol
You over paid for a rust bucket. If it had no rust issues then yes it’s a good deal. Good luck
7700 with rust holes no thanks
