Listening on Apple Podcasts, and in regards to the story about the guy who was looking after his neighbors home, there was an update that the neighbors did contact him and told him they just weren’t planning on coming back. There was more after that, but ADHD brain cannot recall much else 😅

The Subaru was a WRX from what they said at the beginning. It is a sports car, so it makes more sense that the manager took it for a joy ride. My husband has one so that is the only reason I know what it is lol.

omg y’all have got to do a glitch in the matrix episode literally had one with my partner the other day. There’s a strip we drive along to get to his college campus so we both know the businesses pretty well. Then all of a sudden one day we noticed a Starbucks was just randomly there. It looked like it had been airdropped in it was crazy. We both chalked it up to us being adhd but I still feel so weird about it, especially since we drive that road all the time and saw no construction, no building being built. It just was there one day.
Pretty sure 2 hot takes covered the Canadian house one!!! The end of it was they just decided to stay in Taiwan permanently/long term and we’re assigned and didn’t keep in contact I think…. It was something bizarre like that 🤣
I think Kendall was referring to the McDonalds coffee lawsuit but that coffee actually was INSANELY hot and spilled on the woman giving her third degree burns through her pants iirc.
No I don't think they were mistaken, that coffee lawsuit was many years ago, but if I'm not mistaken, there was another recent incident involving chicken nuggets where this mom ordered a happy meal for her kid and the nuggets came sooo hot it hurt the kid (can't remember how seriously the kid was hurt though) and that's what they were referring to :)
All of the lawsuits that seem "frivolous" against large corporations were actually really serious cases, and the public only sees them as frivolous because the corporate PR teams made them look that way.
Yep in both cases they've found that the company keeps using certain unsafe methods to minimize time spent on sanitation, namely making food too hot for human consumption to prevent bacteria growth 😖 people keep getting hurt but it's more lucrative to take the lawsuit settlements than change their process

the house one is so odd! After investigating of course, I would have reported them missing after 2-3 months max. If it took the guy a year just to post on REDDIT, he (and his wife i think he mentioned) clearly didn't care enough about the well-being of the neighbors. btw I read some of the updates of the situation but still like both are in the wrong to me. don't leave your house and dogs behind for someone else to take care of. its just wrong and im pretty sure illegal AND plz plz report people missing if you don't hear from them cuz the possibilities of what could've happened to them would have worried me sick.

When they finally did get in touch with them, I’m pretty sure the guy who went to Taiwan said “oh sorry, we decided to extend our stay” and like told them that he would take care of the house and that someone he knew would take care of the pets. I’m not 100% sure what he said but it’s strange that the post you read of that situation didn’t have the whole story.
