Neutrogena makes a Hydro Boost face mask that comes in two gel pieces and covers the whole face. I have not used it but it looks similar in videos. I think its important to mention that the thick cream isn't the right move for every skintype. I for example have Oily but still dry and sensitive skin wich is not compatible with thick cream. Instead you want to use a very light or even oil free gel. But appart from that I think this mask is a great way to let the moisturising get even deeper in your skin.
Yes! I agree, needed to mention that the texture can vary depending on skin type. You can even use the patches without anything, it is still working great!!!
maybe your skin is dehydrated? also, how it's her resposiblity to mention every detail about a cream in case it doesn't work for someone? she just used what works for her. you find out what works for you. so silly
@@evital0o0oThat's not silly at all. A lot of people will use whatever worked for someone else, just because they saw the amazing results. Some people are aware what is really going to do goods to their skin, but some will follow blindly and then blame the creator if no results show
You’re so right i also have that, but my skin doctor told me its because i have rosacea… maybe you also have a skin condition then? I really like light products, i can recommend products from beauty of joseon korean skincare
It's not the consistency of the cream that matters, it's the ingredients. My skin is super oily. Use Avene cicalfate is THICK (similar to laroche cicaplast but less clogging) trust me is great for all skin types. Your combination skin is likely dehydrated.
This makes sense! I am post acne and the amount of actives i used to treat it has damaged my skin barrier and cause my eczema to flare up. After a point i gave up and just started slugging to treat my immediate eczema problem. And while it was messy it helped so much, with zero actives, just a heavy moisturizer under vaseline. This mask will be less messier
slugging is applying a thick occlusive product (usually petrolatum based- vaseline, for example) as your final step in your PM skincare routine. it essentially seals in and amplifies whatever products you applied underneath it. it can be great for locking in hydration overnight and helping to heal your skin barrier, but you have to be careful to not use active ingredients when you do it (retinoids especially, for example) because amplifying the affects of those on your skin is dangerous and can very easily lead to irritation
Congratulations!!! I don’t usually get giddy over youtube videos, but this! Super happy for you. I know the struggle so it must be so fulfilling to have found what works for you.
Spray a thin layer of hydraging mist containing glycerine (sticky) between the mask nd the silicone patches and it will not solide anymore because they will stick together ;)
I ran into the same problem, getting random breakouts that were beyond stubborn and NOTHING would make them go away. I finally got a face steamer and use spot treatments with tea tree oil when I do get an occasional pimple or two. The streamer is a game changer!! I also put a few drops of tea tree oil on a cotton pad and stick it inside the steamer compartment that is for warming towels and it totally makes a difference.
I was just buying cheap Amazon one and it broke in one month, so I use steam room now instead, it works for the whole body. You can find it as “portable sauna” 😌
Improper application of Tretinoi always results in desastres skin barrier, less is best, start slowing, stop other activities, sandwich method and usind a barrier around eyes, nostrils and mouth with CeraVe ointment or Eucerin can minimize any peeling
Huh this really fits the trend of going to sleep “ugly” to wake up more “beautiful” 😂 i’m into it! the rope idea is great and i have a reusable mask just like that (too tight to wear since it tugs on my ears too) so i need to try that. 😊
I am hesitant to trying this because acne forms more easily in anaerobic environments with no oxygen, and there is no oxygen under your mask, so possibly it heals your skin a lot but also at the same time could increase acne

It was not as damaged as yours, but it was breaking out very aggressively. I also bought that Skin1004 Cica ampoule, which everyon talking about, and it was fine, so I don't know if it needs to be added or not but it won't hurt for sure. As for internally healing my PCOS, I am on BC so that does most of work, then of course 8h sleep is A MUST. Your body regulates hormones as you sleep. And as for overall other points, you need to start healing body internally. Although I am russian by birth, but I kinda grew up in Asia, and we believe here, especially in the sense of TCM (traditional Chinese medicine), that all organs are connected, and PCOS is the cause not the origin. I need to find myself a good TCM doctor, and will get some individually measured herbs. For now I also drink spearmint tea, which is famous for regulating male hormones.

I use adapalene and I find it much more gentle, but still effective. Strongest retinoid you can get over the counter. Closely related to tretinoin chemically, but it is different. Marketed for acne, still affective for anti-aging. Been using for 10 years.
@@Hiimjess8 yeah I tried that when I finally accepted that I can’t tolerate tretinoin. I guess by that point, my barrier was to disrupted for adapalene. I can’t even tolerate low percentages of retinal, even after months of no use of any active ingredients. It’s great when it works, but it definitely can damage your skin long-term when you don’t be careful. Guys remember Irritation is not necessarily a sign that it works.
got the one mentioned in the description: really didn’t work for me. the silicone never seemed to stick, also drying them sticky side up made them flytraps for dust and tiny particles. i love this idea thought but those specific silicone mask wasn’t the best!
thanks for sharing your experience 😌 for me silicone is not really sticky too, that’s why I secure it with the mask, I don’t know how people sleep with only patches on their faces 😅 And about dust it is true, if you live it for a long time outside it can become dirty 😬 that’s why I dry mine in the drawer or cover them with something, even though mine does not get dusty (maybe because I have humid weather) But I agree, this technique definitely needs a lot of improvement 😌
Wait wait! This is not to heal acne, it is to heal skin barrier from using too much anti acne products. Just patches itself won’t fix acne, but it would fix post acne and help heal skin from actives(tretinoin, acids) My skin was damaged with actives, that I used for a long time and silicone patches helped to heal it. But I also do a lot to treat the cause of acne (in my case it is PCOS): diet, sport, stress management. My acne are going away because of this, but patches are helping with the texture, post acne and overall look of the skin.
I need to try this… I work at Macys and have tried so many products since working there. I think my skin barrier is pretty messed up. Thank you 🙏🏻 curious to try Kiehl’s products in combination with the silicon masks
First to get rid of acne start with the gut.. proper eating habits and clean sheets. Women putting oils in their hair will get acne on their back, cheeks and forehead. Get a non comedogenic oil.
It's a bit more complex than that actually, a lot of us have hormonal problems that are complicated to balance. I have been eating healthy for a long time, never sleep with oil in my hair, change sheets regularly etc etc. Yes I drink enough. Acne is not that easy to get rid of for a lot of us
Боже мой, это то, к чему я шла сама, но усовершенствованное! Пробовала кремы под силиконовую маску, но лишь на полчаса. Это действительно лучшее для кожи на мой взгляд тоже🎉
you should also add Supercharged overnight cream. You put it on overnight and you sleep with it, and the next morning you wake up, im not kidding when i say it made my face sooo smooth and even the little bumps on my nose disappeared
That is good question 🤔 I think it should be used smart on times when it’s actually needed. Everything is good in balance, too much healing can be as damaging as destroying
I think, since she doesn’t need to wear makeup during the day, her skin has plenty of exposure to the air. Also, like she said, it wouldn’t be an every night thing once the problem is addressed.
@@irinareina not 100% silicone but there are a lot of gels that have a very high procentage of silicone and precisely dimethacone, especially scar gels that are actually just silicone based with some healing ingredients.
I drink only much of water spa and Thea, eat super healthy lots of froots etc and sleep good and my skin has never been better, and I face wash my face with raw organic honey. and stopped alcohol now for 6 months
I had a MASSIVE breakout of inflamed cystic acne from orally taking Collagen Peptides!!!! Took me weeks to figure it out. My skin healed just days after I stopped using it.
I just bought it and I hope it works. I know my skin has barrier issue, because acne came out after I did waxing. And I was hoping to find something like that, but didn't even know such a thing exists. I'll come and post te results after a month or so.
@@irinareina okay so updates: yes it helped! But Honestly for me it wasn't that magical, but still it's visible. Just probably I will look for another option, since as you also mentioned, te cover mask is tight, and it caused some bruise on my nose, so I had to cut the nose part fully. I love that it's reusable. Just wish they had a better cover mask. Thanks for sharing your experience ❤
I think probably it also help cause it creates a barrier with external things like the pillow etc... that could make bacteria worse. Also nivea in the blue tin is noce but i recommend to try it on some spots for a while cause to some people it can be occlusive and make acne way worse. For sensitive/eczema/rosacea is good but acne not sure🤔 From what I know avène has a good thick cream but i forgot the name Also, can you use the hairdrier to dry them?
Yes! I finally feel comfortable putting my face on the pillow, I change pillowcases everyday, but it still feels wierd, especially with night cream, but it’s my ocd things I tried to blow on patches, but they are flying away 😂 you have to dry them sticky side up, so other side is not sticky and not secured. maybe on very low settings and cool air, because hot can damage them I think
@@irinareina omg yes i didnt consider the flying part i can already imagine them flying away sticking to the floor than having to wash it again Oh no 😂
I ♥ your videos! I think some of those products you are using might have bad irritating ingredients in them- lots of chemicals...maybe give your skin a break for a little while and try some all natural stuff like organic coconut oil at night or caster oil and honey is a great natural acne treatment!

When I stopped it was a nightmare, I was even thinking to go back, but my doctor explained that BC is slowly killing reproductive system and that’s how I started my natural healing process. I will make a video pretty soon about it 😌
I know you won’t see this but I’ll keep trying.. can you do a video on your PCOS experience and hormone balancing?
I will definitely do it, it’s in my plan video list! 😌 I don’t know when yet, because I want to figure it out completely to tell the whole story 😌
@@irinareina thank you, I look forward to it!
this reminds me of that collagen mask you use overnight!
yes! that is exactly what I thought! but this is reusable 😌
Wow, looks amazing! I'd love to try it out 🥰🤩
You should! 😌
i love your videos! so many great tips :) much love from costa rica 🇨🇷
thank you 🫰🏻🤍
Also used tret for 1 1/2 years. Needed a long time to realize that it isn’t for me. At least for now.
Guys remember Irritation is not necessarily a sign that it works.
got the one mentioned in the description: really didn’t work for me. the silicone never seemed to stick, also drying them sticky side up made them flytraps for dust and tiny particles. i love this idea thought but those specific silicone mask wasn’t the best!
thanks for sharing your experience 😌
for me silicone is not really sticky too, that’s why I secure it with the mask, I don’t know how people sleep with only patches on their faces 😅
And about dust it is true, if you live it for a long time outside it can become dirty 😬 that’s why I dry mine in the drawer or cover them with something, even though mine does not get dusty (maybe because I have humid weather)
But I agree, this technique definitely needs a lot of improvement 😌
You may want to try Korean mask pack ‘Biodance’ deep facial mask which made only with serum for overnight mask pack. It works every time.
Thank you! I have a worse adult acne so i would definitely try this.
Wait wait! This is not to heal acne, it is to heal skin barrier from using too much anti acne products.
Just patches itself won’t fix acne, but it would fix post acne and help heal skin from actives(tretinoin, acids)
My skin was damaged with actives, that I used for a long time and silicone patches helped to heal it.
But I also do a lot to treat the cause of acne (in my case it is PCOS): diet, sport, stress management. My acne are going away because of this, but patches are helping with the texture, post acne and overall look of the skin.
@@irinareina Do you have any advice for closed comedones ? Just followed, thanks for this video !
Reuse the straps for respiratory masks for your silicone masks - the ones health care workers used to prevent the same pinchiness behind the ears
sounds like a great idea, thanks 😌
Ahhhh I can’t wait to try this !!! Thank you 🥰💗
Hope you like it!🤍
Thank you so much!! You look amazing. Definitely trying this.
Thank you 😌
I need to try this… I work at Macys and have tried so many products since working there. I think my skin barrier is pretty messed up. Thank you 🙏🏻 curious to try Kiehl’s products in combination with the silicon masks
kiehls has pretty good products for extra moisturizing, I think it would work perfect 😌
Basically like a big bandaid to heal your face
exactly 😅
First to get rid of acne start with the gut.. proper eating habits and clean sheets.
Women putting oils in their hair will get acne on their back, cheeks and forehead. Get a non comedogenic oil.
It's a bit more complex than that actually, a lot of us have hormonal problems that are complicated to balance. I have been eating healthy for a long time, never sleep with oil in my hair, change sheets regularly etc etc. Yes I drink enough. Acne is not that easy to get rid of for a lot of us
yes, this is the base rules for acne, unfortunately it won’t fix hormonal problems, but it will definitely work for a lot of other cases 😌
Rip curly girls who need hair oil 🥲
😌😌
This is genius ❤❤❤❤
🤭🤍
this silicone thingy on your face reminds me of the FAQ device that uses led light therapy
😅
We love u sis
🤍🫰🏻
Try charcoal cleanser and take vitamin A.
taking A vitamin every day now 😌
you should also add Supercharged overnight cream. You put it on overnight and you sleep with it, and the next morning you wake up, im not kidding when i say it made my face sooo smooth and even the little bumps on my nose disappeared
Is it Foreo cream?
So appreciate your video! Thank you 🙏 Have a joyful day ☀️
Thank you! You too!
The results are insane! But I wonder would it potentially clog the pores since the skin is not breathing all night? 🤔
I love actives but not daily. I use them in moderation.. but I’m down to try silicone patches
You and esp your smile are gorgeous!!!
🤍 thank you
Actually there is a lot of research on silicone for the skin if you dont wanna get the mask you can use liquid silicone
Do you mean alginate face masks? Or are there actually liquid silicone for skin?
@@irinareina not 100% silicone but there are a lot of gels that have a very high procentage of silicone and precisely dimethacone, especially scar gels that are actually just silicone based with some healing ingredients.
Oh, okay, thank you, I will research about that
@@irinareinadid you found something Good?
i love your videos sm!! manifesting success 4 u
thank you so much 🫰🏻🤍
I drink only much of water spa and Thea, eat super healthy lots of froots etc and sleep good and my skin has never been better, and I face wash my face with raw organic honey. and stopped alcohol now for 6 months
Face wash with honey is interesting, never heard of it 😌
you deserve so much love for sharing this so nicely. God bless you :)
🤍🤍🤍
You ruined your skin barrier with all that product, now you are repairing it.
Sis! You are gorgeous
thank you 🤍🫰🏻
I had a MASSIVE breakout of inflamed cystic acne from orally taking Collagen Peptides!!!! Took me weeks to figure it out. My skin healed just days after I stopped using it.
wow, i am so happy to hear you found what was the reason 😌 it’s crazy, maybe it was sort of allergic reaction
That’s so wonderful!!❤
🤍🫰🏻
You're so CuTe. Great personality. Im definitely about to buy this. Ty
Thank you 😌
Just ordered :D I have to try this! ^ ^
Hope you like it!😌
Update?
Incredible! I'm definitely interested to try😍👍
🤍
@@irinareina 🥰🥰🥰🥰
Thanks Irina for sharing these useful tips! Could I ask what the top layer mask (on top of silicone patches) is for?
It seems the top layer mask is simply there to hold all the smaller silicone patches in place.
Just to hold the patches so they would not stay on the pillow at night 😅
I just bought it and I hope it works. I know my skin has barrier issue, because acne came out after I did waxing. And I was hoping to find something like that, but didn't even know such a thing exists. I'll come and post te results after a month or so.
We will wait for your update 😌
For sensitive/eczema/rosacea is good but acne not sure🤔
From what I know avène has a good thick cream but i forgot the name
Also, can you use the hairdrier to dry them?
Yes! I finally feel comfortable putting my face on the pillow, I change pillowcases everyday, but it still feels wierd, especially with night cream, but it’s my ocd things
I tried to blow on patches, but they are flying away 😂 you have to dry them sticky side up, so other side is not sticky and not secured. maybe on very low settings and cool air, because hot can damage them I think
@@irinareina omg yes i didnt consider the flying part i can already imagine them flying away sticking to the floor than having to wash it again
Oh no 😂
Thank you my skin has been getting so bad lately ,i think its amixture of diet and skincare but this is quite useful
I am happy it was helpful 🤍
Love this video and love your filming and editing style! And your personality ❤ what camera do you film on please?
Thank you! I use Sony a7iii
I ♥ your videos! I think some of those products you are using might have bad irritating ingredients in them- lots of chemicals...maybe give your skin a break for a little while and try some all natural stuff like organic coconut oil at night or caster oil and honey is a great natural acne treatment!
Thank you, but my biggest problem is PCOS and it can be healed only from inside 😌
@@irinareina green juice is good for inside 😘
People also use back pillows for the same things which can be on amazon
Being single can be great sometimes
😂 well… when you go sleep looking like that for sure, but people around me already got accustomed, this mask is the least wierd thing I do 😂
Рина, ты просто лучшая ❤

Be careful regarding tight ponytails. That tension will cause hair loss aka traction alopecia.
Thank you, I try to make them as loose as possible and do every night a head massage to avoid that 😌
@@irinareina 👍I’ve recently learned a lot about hair loss as I’m facing this in my 60s and have been diving deep into causes, solutions etc. You are beautiful, enjoy it!
thank you 😌
nice, very good 2 know. yer skin really looks great. nice brows also.. have u considered laminating them so it can emphasize yer beauty even more with yer beautiful skin... well congrats on yer discovery.
Oh yes, I tried laminating them 🤣 nothing is holding this brows, I gave up and just gluing them everyday as much as I can
Thanks for the video I'm definitely interested in getting one:)
The one thing I'm worried about is if this can create milia like slugging with vaseline can
Oh! I don’t know, but if slugging can, this silicone patches probably can too. I think it’s basically the same process, just less messy
