Are Non Transforming Transformers Worth Looking At?? | #transformers Revoltech Optimus Prime Развлечения
some non transforming transformers are really good like the three-zero BUT some are just bad like the R.E.D series when the plastic is literally disintegrating all the time so yea
What hurts for me is that they don’t do anything that transforming could compromise (articulation, sculpt, paint). They don’t look better than their transforming counterparts really.
@@tfuniverse1651 the fact that the R.E.D is supposed to have articulations beyond normal transforming transformers;the plastic quality and qc is worse eg:the wobbly plastic, bots in need for pints of paints and basically all the basic needs for a transformers figure.
Yeah but then youre crossing into the 3rd party side where its partly metal and transforms and has the detail
Some R.E.D. figures are good, like Prime Knockout and Arcee. but when G1 Optimus is prone to splitting in half for literally no reason, you know you have a problem.
@@DestroyerApollyon yea and sometimes R.E.D figures are actually pretty good and accurate 😜

Seeing the disappointment in my suggestion absolutely made my day. Probably funnier than if the pose had actually made it in
Bro made the nastiest intro transition and thought we wouldn’t notice
Idk about all non-transforming transformers, but this guy is certainly worth it.
Edit: since this is your first Revoltech, the line uses much less Revoltech joints lately and pretty much focuses on the Amazing Yamaguchi line these days, which follows the “stylized proportions for more articulation” trend. They’re much more stable figures nowadays.
My pose suggestion made it in.. look ma', I'm on TV!!!
Emgo playing in the background, a true Chad
Non transforming figures can be good if they're done right
At 4:59 thanks man! Wasn't having the best of days and had actually forgotten about the tweet so when the video started I was like "is it... Possible?" really cheered me up. As a photographer I absolutely love what you do with these posing segments, although it's a video, the way you capture it, with the simplicity of the background and the crisp focus. Has inspired a change in the way I do my stuff, and also gotten me back into collecting transformers, my wallet would love to thank you. Take care man and keep up the fantastic work! You are genuinely one of the best review channels I've found, and I'm very picky lol , once again if you have read this far into my mad ramblings, why? And I wish you all the best
Honestly as time consuming as they can be, I’d highly recommend the transformers model kits. It can be a fun experience building them and once their fully together, they feature great pose-ability and decent accessories to help with those poses. I recommend the G1 Optimus Prime by flame toys, the bumblebee movie Optimus Prime(in the process of obtaining), the Megatron(IDW) by flame toys, and the starscream by flame toys. These are the ones I currently own and it’s been a fun time posing them
Definitely what appeals to me most in terms of non transforming transformers. I don't own any myself yet though. Building Gunpla is another hobby I've dabbled in, and it can be a lot of fun.
That garmadon jumpscare was uncalled for 💀
I personally love the R.E.D. Line.🤘
I still have my Revoltech Bumblebee, still one of my coolest revoltech figures I own.
One thing to keep in mind is your version is a first release. There was a later "Legacy of Revoltech" release which was a part of a line of re-releases that fixed any notable QC or general issues.
Like others have also said, modern Revoltechs are using more variety of joints. Recommend you check out the Amazing Yamaguchi Optimus Prime which is one said modern Revoltech.
seeing this figure back then my favourite thing was the doors being attached to the shoulders, makes him so much more dynamic when moving around
I think the bayverse is popularizing non-transforming transformers, because it's almost impossible to make a truly accurate transforming version of these characters. I don't understand the point of a non-transforming beast wars or G1 figure, since those designs are much more achievable as transforming figures.
The trumpeter models kits are really good and bumblebee tlk from trumpeter goes well with this prime
I got a revoltech figure before. I agree these figures have great posability, but the revoltech joints themselves are just such a struggle to work with that it makes me scared to move them, which goes against the very reason that I bought it.
Love that you just watch old emgo videos just for justness. Love your videos man love how you've developed as a creator since some of your earlier stuff🫶
I loved this line when I was younger
Also you can use modge podge to thicken the joint for the panel it should work still
Revoltech sense that figure has gotten better and use other joints than just their joint system at any rate this figure is so cool looking always loved old Revoltech figs like woody and buzz and their domo offering lol
I display mine with a jada optimus prime truck Great display pieces.
Idea: a 2-5 minute video recreating the coolest poses from the first 3 movies with this figure
Oho, I was waiting for this figure to show up when you size compared him with Animated Blackout
He looks like promotional art, but in figure form
I have a revoltech figure as well, and the joints sure are something. They’re either too tight, or im too scared to move them. I don’t really move it around as much due to that. So I just have it in a pose I like and just leave it there.
5:35 SKIDS AND MUDFLAP SWEEP
THEY PUT THEM THERE BECAUSE THEY ARE THE GOATS
0:26 I don't know. From where I stand, transformation hasn't been the sole defining aspect of "Transformers" since about 1985. Ever since then "Transformers" has also been defined by characters and lore, as well as other gimmicks to the point where the action masters happened only 7 years after the beginning of the line.
I can say for myself that if I had an option to replace all my transforming transformer toys with better looking non-transforming ones, I wouldn't hasitate a moment before doing so, because my "Robot enhanced design" "Prime" Knock Out for all its flaws is still unmatched by any transforming toy of him.
When it comes to live action movie and other equally complex transformers designed for fiction first, I would've been asking if transforming toys of them are worth looking at if there was actually a proper amount of non-transforming ones as an option, because a toy of a live action transformer can either look as good as Revoltech Optimus does or transform, never both. It can get close to it, like "Studio series" did, but there will be either drawbacks or an unaffordable price.
This figure really is awesome. I had the version that had the entire jetpower backpack with all the dotm accessories. It was really cool but the real reason I sold it (as mentioned in the video) is the soft plastic. Things started to stick and warp a bit and yeah he falls over and sort of blobs out of poses sometimes.
I just received my first non-transforming figure today. It was trumpeter soundwave. I got it because SS83 soundwave might as well be considered a non-transforming figure. I really like it; it scales perfectly with Magic Square Soundwave.
Gotta love him promoting emgo by him watching a 6 year old Fanstoys Grinder review lmao
I remember wanting this guy as a child.
When I finaly bought the Baiwei knockoff SS05 I kinda got satified but I still dream of gettin one rebeltech optimus myself.
Maybe one day.
I love non transforming transformers, and am in it more for the unique character designs, rather than the vehicles. I've modified nearly all of my SS figures the look as screen accurate as possible, even at the cost of the transformation. As for this figure, I love my copy, and didn't even know the forearms popped off. I did buy it used, so it's possible the previous owner glued them...
As much as I love Optimus Prime I'm glad that I didn't waste my money on that thing..
That combined gun mode, is like 90's to the extreme...
I have a g1 star scream revoltech. I love it.
If I would say, depends on the design that's too complex like bayverse could work as non transforming transformers since it has a lot of panels that looks out of place even as toys still. *cough* *cough* crosshairs.
ok Now I know what "2nd version" PvP was talking.
The masterpiece looks fat next to this and it makes clear the issue that transforming movie figures always had specially the first 5. They really never were able to nail the screen accuracy of nothing. The movie designs are always so organic and slim and trying to make these kind of robots out of vehicle components is impossible unless mass shifting becomes a thing.
They are always able to get really close to the cgi designs but not quire 100% accurate. Like in the ending of dotm when Bee turns into robot mode next to Sam, the car front doesn't just angle the sides and turns into his chest, It gets a bit smaller in order to looks proportionally right. If movie designs didn't had that pretty much all movie bots would look clunky and toyish something Michael Bay didn't wanted to. That seems to be part of the reason the bbb movie figures are so great. They were designed with the toys in mind.
Think it’s fine when it wiggles, but it also looks like a funny way🤣
DOTM Optimus Prime is by FAR my favorite version of Optimus Prime. So I totally want to get this or eventually when I got money, the Three Zero version.
I grabbed this figure a couple days ago and haven’t put it down since the revoltech Optimus prime
I love this guy with DOTM Voyager Megatron
I have the bumblebee one and it hood as well
I don't mind them (if they're not stupidly expensive) some are awesome! But I still prefer the full pack, alt mode included
I love how everyone universally agrees about the fact that the worst part about a revoltech figure are the revoltech joints, also, why would they design an integral part of the figure to be replaced eventually? Like bro are you apple or something?
I'd say that nontransforming figures of Transformers characters are worth looking at especially since I happily bought the ThreeZero DLX ROTF Optimus Prime and am still glad to own it.
4:19 "Thighs are the right of all sentient beings."
I don't think I could ever buy a robot transformer that doesn't transform, just seems like a waste. A car transformer that doesn't transform however, one with rubber tires, realistic headlights, molded in seats and steering wheel and actually looking like an actual brand car? Oh yes.
I have this figure and he is a blast!
I’m your biggest fan
To fix that arm peg situation so it will still work in both holes don't thicken the peg, put a little super glue (or however you want to fix it) onto the inside surfaces of the hole that's too big instead.
I don't mind non-transforming Transformers. It's the appearance of the Revoltech joints that I don't like.

YO YO! PIRAKA!
YO YO! PIRAKA!
I was gifted this figure very recently because I did something good
No matter how bad it is, this figure has a special place in my heart
I have an Ironhide robot replica from TF2 and personally I can say it totally worth it
Looks like a shiny repaint with Takara Tomy's DMK01 Optimus Prime
To those hating on the non-transforming transformers from licensed parties...
Blame hasbro for not allowing transformations 😅
Besides non-transforming lets them put out a lot of details and keeps it stable.
Never forget the Twin...
Twins, Yeah wish they didn't put those two on the box. Lol
A long while ago in a forum grab box I was mailed incomplete Revos of Prime, Megatron, Hot Rod, and Starscream. As older releases they aren't exactly as amazing as this Prime, but still articulate, and fun novelty toys. Should look into some replacement joints as HR, and SS lost a leg somewhere along the way. As for other non transforming figures, I almost consider Soundwave one as he looks great in bot mode, and I see no reason to ruin that by transforming him into whatever space vehicle Siege had dreamed up for him
i really want one but im poor
i have eyes on one that i think is perfect but its $75 plus another $10 or so for shipping
Easy answer: Hell no. Defeats the entire purpose.
The thing about rovotech is I’m a big my hero fan and the lose joints are able to make a dynamic ass fucking pose extremely easily
5:17 who snuck in bros😭
Personally I don't have an issue with Non-Transforming Transformers figures. Most of the figures especially for Bayformers have their accuracy, detail, and articulation comprised due to the transformation or a specific gimmick that was popular at the time. Claiming that it's worthless and it shouldn't exist because it can't transform is superficial and arrogant.
Ho there is two versions, i didn't know. I just took the jetpack one
0:11 bro was watching emgo
how many times do you transform your transforming figures? how often?
An emgo watcher? That's a like
This is pretty cool but I would only buy them if they have no alt mode
Best dotm Optimus figure
This figure reminds me of GTA SA if you had the mod to be prime the robot was human sized like cj lmao
I have the revoltech rodimus, I got it when I was 4 and it’s mostly destroyed
…ima get this
What was the name of the website you bought the figure from? I can't tell from the video 😢
I would like a non transforming devastator (rotf also it would be like 4.5-6.5 inches tall and it would be more accurate to the game than the movie version)
Good Lord, he jiggles like he's made of Jello. No thanks.
bro fr became maximus genitalia 💀
Is that a Easter egg of my boy emgo😤
Hey dude do the joints on this revoltech pop off easily or is it manegable
as someone who doesn't care about the alt mode and loves the robot designs yes yes they are
Ngl I thought that thing would be huge
there’s a version with the jetpack
Are we just not gonna talk about how you Jazz'd Optimus
Use bluetack for the arm panel
Glue the arm bits
Short answer: No
Long answer
I have a rule if it does not transform then it does not get bought or even paid attention to whats the point in a Transformer that fails at being its self?
4:45 I’m still confuse what this pose is supposed he’s doing, it looks so funny and dumb
Some toys I've gotten relatively recently have definitely made me consider getting into non-transforming figures instead. As an example, TFP Megatron. There's just no good transforming mold for that figure (yes I know the RED figure is also ass) and frankly his alt-mode is ass in the show anyway, at that point I'd rather just have a really good, screen-accurate robot figure that doesnt transform
do you have a link to the store you bough him from? I can't find it no matter how much i search for the name because im sorry, for 10$? That's actually fucking insane considering how expensive he is anywhere else-
❤ all transformers toys, regardless transforming or not... shoutout to jmav David😅
You should have made She-Hulk Carrie the Optimus
I personally don’t buy non transforming transformers, because personally for me that defeats the entire purpose of a transformer, to transform
She hulk 4:22 my little transformer baby
Optimus. Put me down
Shouldve done Luffys gear 2 pose 🤣🤣
REVIEW THE G1 VERSION
I think it's fine if a figure might not transform if you're a display guy (Sometimes, not always, but sometimes), but then I know that for some, that's blasphemy.
Personally, I could see some merit to non-transforming toys as some figures design-wise are just going to have some compromises due to how they built these designs to not transform (For some, that just means Accuracy is a mistake, but then there's a reason accuracy sells (Besides the obvious idea of a figure drought)
I buy the model kit transformers
I want the shockwave and megatron
I bought this in 2020 for a stupid price and they scammed me cuz it was missing pieces and it was broken, it was the jetwing version
Where to buy?
I love the RED series.
