Too sad. I tried to say Mathenge was alive then in Tetu kiawaithanji village but inoro Nyeri didn't take my story. My grandfather was alive then. Anyone intelligent and familiar in Kikuyu mau mau war knew the story was a hoax. The likes of Wamwere, Jane Kihara, Mwenje, Gitu.Kahengeri were seeing publicity. I objected and refused the story ,made noise and asked questions in parliament and Govt through Moody Awori couldn't answer. Ayanu couldn't speak a word in Kikuyu and wasn't circumcised according to Kikuyu customary law's Ngwati. Justice Njoki who was an MP like myself and many more now came open in the fact that Kibaki's government had been duped by Kareiithi a man from Nyeri and the writer of Kenyatta succession book that later proved to full of lies. He passed on a few years back and l don't remember him make a public apology for lying to Kenyans and duping Kibaki's Gvtt to spend millions of taxpayers money in a story far away to believe

It's a lesson of madness created by Writer Kareithi, Gitu Kahengeri, Koigi Wamwere and believed by Kibaki Govt. I was the first to raise objectives and brought the issue in Parliament and the then Vice President Mody Awori, Minister for internal security Hon Chris Murungaru agreed with me. The impersonation of the Ethiopian peasant farmer to General Mathenge was widely and embarrassingly discovered. He refused DNA tests, couldn't speak a single word in Kikuyu, didn't have kikuyu's features, and the Kibaki Govt had laid for his Airline tickets, VIP reception etc etc. The hansard records in Parliament will bear witness to the events as described by me. General Mathenge had gone all the Kikuyu rituals including circumcision but Ayanu No. It's a scandal of lies,deceit, corruption and government resources going into people's pockets. However Ayanu in his poor English language did not at any time say he was General Mathenge. He never admitted that but Gitu Kahengeri, Kareithi, Koigi Wamwere, Mwenje and many others took advantage and cheated Kenyans and Kenya Government.
