I been watching your vids for like a month or 2 now and I’m just realizing your the unlucky fella who spun out in front of the cop🤣🤣 shoulda ran the replay
Yeah Ive owned old cars built before abs, locked up my brakes a couple times mashing the gas trying to avoid people who cut me off or pulled out without looking. Abs is super useful
the proportioning valve will make it so only front is gonna lock up so i won’t have the rear end come around 👍🏽 obviously still gonna slide if i over brake…
Confused on why you didn’t go with chase bays? They make a brake booster eliminator as well as lines with the proportional value. Have it in my m50 swapped e30 and it works great.
I have -3.5 camber on my fronts, driving in snow storm i still have to really be trying to lock the brakes up, rarely does it happen accidentally. Drive for conditions and your cars capabilities
Hey Joel I have a question, I changed all my brakes and rotors, changed my abs pump, my abs sensors and when I ever press on the brakes the pump screams and barely brakes. What do you think is the problem?
His abs wasn't working, on e30's the abs units actually plays a role in the brake bias, when it's not working there's more bias towards the rear, which is obviously bad, and it's the reason he spun out last time, he started braking for an intersection after seeing a cop, it locked up the rear and he spun out. I do agree that he should've just fixed it instead of removing it tho. Abs is literally a godsend, I've ended up in situations where it saved my ass a few times.
@@imnota ABS is completely AIDS when it comes to late 80's and early 90's bmw. they werent the best at ABS at the time. i have these same issues with my E36. and if youre building a drift car you most definitely wanna remove the ABS system. you would be surprised at how much harder the car stops just by removing the ABS module. its actually pretty insane. If you're reading this and have a turbo E30 or E36 and youre on the fences about deleting the ABS module or not. DO IT. your brakes will feel completely different.
@@dannyipwn1203 I have a 92 e36 and the abs is fine, sure it's not quite as good as on my e46 but it's miles better than none. Most of yall think you're race car drivers but in the event where you need to do an emergency braking, you're gonna lock it up, and extend your braking distance two folds. I mean look where no abs brought joel, spun out in front of a cop, had to go to court and all. If he had working abs he would've stopped in time, maybe cop would've given him a warning tops. And honestly Joel was best case scenario, most people like you riding dirty with broken or deleted abs kill people because when it's an emergency you just mash the pedal, everything you learned about being progressive and not locking them up will be out of your mind.
@@imnota I didn't fully understand why he would deleted it , but thanks for explaining a few stuff I didn't know , In my car coolant ruined the plug pins are no more ... and I've been dying to fix it , abs yes please 🙏

you should door dash videos in your daily i think that would be cool to because people like me like to watch you do door dash and i think it would be cool to do it in your daily to
Idk how id even start when wiring anything on a car🤦♂️ soo overly confusing for no reason, how’d you learn to know what wires your supposed to mess with and pull out and connect to this and that lol, I couldn’t even begin to figure out how to wire in brake lights on an 85’ mk2 golf lmaoo, imma definitely stick to everything except wiring😂🤦♂️
@@ImJoel i’m gunna try my best🫡 that’s exactly where i wanted to put my vibrant catch can but then i had to delete abs i’m doing it this sunday so this video literally came at the perfect time you the man joel

23:35 put a rubber grommet so the wires don’t get chafed by the edge of that hole.
the video of you spinning infront of the cops is what got me into your videos
Your a well informed young man. I enjoyed your video. Not a bunch of nonsense monologue. Keep up the good work.

Probably the best thing that ever happened to him. His channel exploded after that.
i just got a 325i 4 door and your car gave me a lot of inspiration to get it, love your vids king
You can make 1 hour series bro, no problem! It's nice to watch, good job!
Bro the moustache with the stubble looks fricken staunch. Drowning folk with the wave game too
So now your just gonna lock up all your brakes and go sliding right through the stop sign and stop 50’ after it.
exactly lmao. like does he not know what abs does...? lmfao

Maybe he is confusing it with traction control?

Its not as old but ABS works perfectly on my NA Miata, saved my ass a lot in the winter.
Automatically like the video before even watching. Great content as always Joel.

Yea bro I’m having the same struggle with feeling that impending doom if I don’t finish it immediately lol
That E30 gonna be so sketch in low grip conditions now...
no it wont, dont lock up your brakes and you dont need abs.
@@JJMMAN2002 that's actually harder than it looks. Particularly when you've got performance tires, since those already suck in low grip conditions

“IM GETTING ARRESTED!!!” 😂👏🏼
Still no fcp euro sponser ship smhh Joel only one making moves rn with E30 and fcp parts
Judging by the comments, there aren't many out there who grew up driving without ABS!!!!

Did you bleed the brakes ?
Probably has air in the pump. Do a bleed on it.
I can't see how deleting abs would do anything about spinning out.
It only helps when you are breaking.

Doesn’t abs prevent you from skidding when you brake real hard!?
Why didnt you remove the stock proportioning valve if you are using an adjustable one?

Why not just route new wire so you don't need to extend that Red wire if it is important. More breaking joints there now..

Absolutely never do this ...
It’s mainly done for drift applications but if he does it correctly everything will be fine
I personally disabled my abs because I have more control in situations when I have to brake hard while turning or speeding
Not the comments thinking that abs motor works 💀. Guys a majority of these systems stopped working like 10 years ago. It's a known thing. 💀

From what ive heard and other peoples experiences, chase bays is hit or miss. Sometimes theyre shit leaks and other times its fine
