Thanks very much for producing these informative videos on upper coastal New England! I'm a lifelong Westporter who moved to Austin, TX and been here for 10 years. I'm done and want to come home! Miss New England coast too much! We're looking to move to Madison, Guilford, or anywhere around the area, and not Fairfield County! These videos are very helpful and saving us airfare just to look around! Any videos you can share driving to, from and in the Madison & Guilford beaches would be extremely helpful! I miss so very much the drive around Compo beach and hoping for something comparable.Thanks again! Best, a home sick New Englander!
We have been out of CT for nearly 27yrs, and have been living in the south. We still have not found our "community". We left when we were in our 20's (young and dumb) Like you, we feel like we need to go back home. People say we're crazy; cold weather and overall COL. But as of late, there is a stronger pull to go back. By the way, I worked in Westport for a well-known tour company. Loved it there, but a wee bit too expensive. Good luck if you go back home! I really enjoyed your video. I used to love to go into the little shops in both those towns. There used to be a great little shop right on Wall Street in Madison, where you were--called "The Nosey Goose". It was so charming and a destination of mine for a little Christmas shopping each year, but sadly is gone now like so many other shops. Looking forward to your next excursion! ☺

Oh they are both lovely! I honestly don’t know much about either of them I would have to say Guilford feels a little more chill to me. Madison feels a little more upper class. That’s not facts just my observation 😊 both are beautiful ❤️
Yeah....a real Karen's paradise these two towns. Having spent a significant amount of time in both I can say from personal experience. One thing about Madison though.... It will always be more Karen -friendly than "Guile-ford" because unlike Guilford they refuse to let any minorities 😱 in. And no, I'm not a minority myself. But I'm not blind either. 🧐
I’ve been a Guilford resident for 20 years, both my kids graduated from GHS. We can’t wait to move away!!!!! It is an absolutely aesthetically beautiful and safe town. However, it is not tolerant of diversity of thought & is the epitome of GROUP THINK. It is hypocritical in that they espouse “tolerance” but what they really mean is; they are only tolerant if you think like them. So in conclusion, if you “think” like a Guilfordite it’s a great town…if you hold different thoughts or beliefs……move elsewhere!!!!
If ever there was a cursed town....Guilford, Connecticut is it. Lived here long enough to know that. Maybe if you're just visiting you wouldn't really notice. But yeah .. there's a reason why there are so many miserable people here.

I visited Guilford with my twin brother for us to train for and work for American Cruise Lines. It was so beautiful. I miss it.
If you go back to Madison. Go to Lenny and Joes Fishtale for the best food, service, and atmosphere in your life.
