- 35-room palace includes a watch tower, 11 fireplaces & “She Shed.”
Hidden behind a seven foot wall that spans 1,500 feet is the most expensive home for sale in one of Connecticut’s wealthiest neighborhoods. This $14.9 million palatial estate in New Canaan is called Orchard’s End, the residence spans 25,000 sq ft with a majestic great room that takes inspiration from a famous castle in Scotland. The brick and limestone residence includes 35 rooms with 12 bedrooms, 16 baths, 11 fireplaces, a watch tower, a resort-sized pool and tucked away on the sprawling grounds is a 4-bedroom guest house and even a teepee. Instead of a man cave the estate includes a 5,000 sq ft carriage house that houses what the owner’s call a “She Shed,” yoga studio, weight training gym, juice bar and sauna. The main home’s third floor is entirely devoted to kids with an arcade game area, sleep-over room, second gym and basketball hoops. After months of watching apartment, and house reviews and pricing from California, and New York City,I think the price is very good.Such a well done estate with tasteful decorating, and livable furniture too.Too many places are decorated as 'showrooms'and have either bland colors and decor,or over the top opulence that's tasteless to most. This castle looks like a home.
I am from New Canaan, and this is a nice house, but I have seen more expensive ones. Last time this house was for sale it was 10 million.
Imagine the price if it was in CA or NYC
Can't believe I'm saying this but... "that's a great price for a beautiful home". Half of the places in LA/NYC are 50M and are boring big white boxes... unlike this property that oozes lavish vibes.
Commiefornia commies got their $$$ way too easily. Thats why no taste in architecture. They just want to flash: they made $$$$ quickly whoaaaa. look look im rich i have so much empty space here!
and actually has custom details in almost every room. Not just a white box with a large window.
I agree. You won’t get this on the other end of the states.
Looks like it should be 40 million
@@Sloanmatthews Oh you could, there are many baronial estates in the LA, Santa Barbara, Carmel, and Hillsborough areas, but it would be priced at 80 million and up.
This mansion is actually worth its price tag. It's so beautiful and the features are so exquisite.
See Mexico believes in walls
I totally love this house. The lady came perfectly prepared, she had all the answers and the gentleman was properly in awe, just like I would be. I liked this.
What a gorgeous house! It's nice to see money spent by people who actually know what to do with it for once.
I would love a miniature, more self-cleanable version of this myself, lol!
For $14.9M, this is a bargain!!
at today's inflated prices, this is a good investment
@@clairelivefreeordie2551 It’s not. It’s a money pit and a huge waste of wealth
@@williamsmith6575 so don’t live there😅😅😅😅
In which state it is?
@@The_business_Podcast ... Connecticut
you can see the difference between old money and new money. This gorgeous estate is old money, while those $50,000,000 garish open concept monstrosities are new money trash. This home, while the pinnacle of luxury, is easy and understated in it's delivery. It's grand, yet comfortable. It's sprawling, yet cozy and warm. A true estate.
Ridgefield Tigers 🐅
lol why are people with no money always comparing between what they think is new money and old money these… days like they would know
I'm impresses at how well the newer addition blends with the origional structure. that's not easy to achieve.
She said if your buying this house your not worried about the maintenance 🤣 well said! Danielle
Excellent architectural design and layout; beautifully appointed, as well. Very stately, and manor-like; not gaudy and overdone like so many large properties made with zero taste. This home will sell quickly to a person of fine taste for things done tastefully. Bravo!
Great video! For 2023, it’s hard to nail down specific predictions for the housing market is because it’s not yet clear how quickly or how much the Federal Reserve can bring down inflation and borrowing costs without tanking buyer demand for everything from homes to cars.
@Craig Daniels Given current recession pressures, it is unlikely that the stock will yield substantial returns in the near term. However, it may be a suitable investment opportunity. I will monitor market conditions and consider purchasing when there is an improvement in the relevant economic indicators, any idea which stocks this may be?
@Craig Daniels You are right! I diversified my portfolio across various market with the aid of an investment coach, I have been able to generate a little bit above $750k in net profit across high dividend yield stocks, ETF and bonds.

@@tatianastarcic thanks for sharing this, I googled the lady you mentioned and after going through her resume, I can tell she's a pro. I wrote her and I'm waiting on her reply
This is everyone’s dream home. A great bargain (on per square foot basis) for an insanely beautiful, and an insanely immense property. Loved it ❤️❤️❤️
HOW YOU GONNA TAKE CARE OF A HOUSE THIS BIG?
THE BILLS WILL DRIVE YOU BANKRUPT INSANE
Impeccably styled, gorgeous property
You would never have to leave cuz there's always something you can experience and take you by a year to figure the whole house and place out sounds fun
Bless this man, he must have grown up in a cave and somehow landed this job.
Seriously! He doesn’t seem like he’s into architecture, design or real estate, smh
Yup, was thinking the same..
You must know something about caves huh.
Yall acting like You grew up in a place this Fancy or even ever been in one. I think he was just blown away with how fancy and beautiful everything was.
Talk about clueless, where did they get this guy from?
Gorgeous- but I’ll be totally overwhelmed by the amount of space to cover daily 😮
With the commission she's supposed to be due: "Elizabethian?" "Elizabethan" "Murial?" "Mural. I could go on...
It would literally take the rest of my life to tour this place, inch by inch...Would absolutely LOVE it!
“If you’re buying this property you’re not worried about the maintenance”…..girl that wasn’t the question 😂
But this is the right answer... Your not worried about the price of maintenance if your paying 14.5 million "cash" for a house!! 🤣😂✌️
JP Morgan was once asked what his yacht cost. He replied; "if you have to ask, you can't afford it."
But, of course a “ money man” like Morgan knew exactly how much his yacht cost. He was just being flippant.
This house is amazing and would be 140 million in California easily. The gentleman in this video is very sweet but a little green in the culture department. Where I'm from a 1/2 million wouldn't by you a studio apartment it was cute to see him amazed that anyone could spend that on landscaping.
I remember looking at this house earlier this year, not sure if before or after this video -- owner had their personal computer on the mezzanine and I saw some Christmas lights in that beautiful hallway around 7:30 😂 was nice seeing it "lived" in. How great it'd be to read in that cathedral room beneath those huge windows!
Love the fact that the house is updated. Beautiful 🤩
This home is absolutely stunning
I would not believe it even when i own it
So tasteful. I love this house. I’ve come back to and seen this video several times now
Worrying about the cost of maintenance WAS NOT the question. He’s just trying to measure the scope for the audience. Lady (Daniel) if u didn’t know - just say you don’t know. As oppose to being unprofessional & giving a dismissive response.
Snobbery is really pathetic.
I thought it was funny.... That's like asking what the average electric bill will be every month. Millionaire's don't ask questions like that. When you pay 14.5 in cash I don't think they're worried about maintenance costs 🤣😂✌️😂🤣
The response was great, if you buy a house like that you shouldn't have to worry about maintenance
So gorgeous thank you folks for sharing this with us we all have a beautiful evening
Yeah - Lady - I still want to know how much it costs for maintenance.
Me, with 7 dollars in my bank account, wondering how I would decorate the bedroom
What a super impressive house! The entrance says it all. Sending you guys good vibes from sunny Miami Beach 🏖⭐️🔝🔝🔝
This is the best property I’ve seen in this price range-absolutely stunning!!! I love this home❣️
This house is so beautiful and tasteful!
Good value. So much character and style. I like the old and modern mix
The property taxes on this Estate are 1/2 of a listing for the same price in Oregon. It is at $150k a year property taxes with 50 acres. 16,000 +square ft Estate
Overall this Connecticut Estate is a very good investment.
I LIVE IN CT WE PAY THE HIGHEST ELECTRICITY IN AMERICA
THIS WOULD EASY BE 1000-2000 A MONTH FOR THIS ONE
EASY
@@ekop1778 Shhhh. We’re really fortunate here. We get lots of rain every year. We’re on hydro electric power and there’s lots of Windmills too. Bonneville Dam and the Columbia Gorge is one of the best windy places year round. Plus home solar is making a surge.
Any extra power is sold to other states through Boneville Power.

i love the hallway with the family photos, it looks like a long family for a big house 🥺❤️
It is very common for people to pay $10K in property tax on a $500K house in the Tri-state area. The property tax of this place is very affordable considering its price tag.
New Canaan is such a hidden gem!
Wow, I just watched your real estate video and I have to say, it's incredibly well done! The production quality is top-notch, with beautiful and crisp visuals that really capture the essence of the property. Your attention to detail is impressive, from the carefully curated shots that showcase the most attractive features of the home, to the seamless transitions that keep the viewer engaged throughout. The video also does an excellent job of highlighting the unique selling points of the property, which will undoubtedly appeal to potential buyers. Overall, your real estate video is a testament to your creativity, expertise, and dedication to delivering a high-quality product. Great job!
Every room surprises me every time!
Beautiful house with large spaces, usable furniture and pristine decor. Great price. Lovely over all!
That it has imported limestone doesn't bump it up to a conservatory. lol. That's not a conservatory in any way, shape or form. I wouldn't even call it a sunroom. It's an amazing enclosed patio space.
Love the space here. Over 6 acres means no one is right on you. Paying $15M means you Shouldn't have anyone right on top of you.
I lived in New Canaan. This isn't the most expensive place in town; it's just the most expensive one that's for sale. Always lots of houses for sale in town.
Why do I feel like am watching “Falcon Crest”?😊Such a stunning house, love it.
this house is Breathtaking!!!
perfect place for weddings and other events
Absolutely beautiful home.🥰
I could follow her around the house all week long 😍😍😍😍😍
my favorite part of this house is the dog, hanging out in the mud room of the castle, entirely unimpressed with the camera crew. dogs gonna dog. bless 🙌
such a pretty home!
The 15 Million price tag is reasonable. What would be hard to stomach is the property taxes.
I really loving this house.
Stunning!
this turned out to be more beautifull than I thought
"if you can afford this house, you don't care about maintenance cost" is the thing I'm the most tired of hearing. I would assume the annual cost for this property would be around 1.5 million dollars. The reason one would have the means to afford such property is because they can count.
Or because they inherited money. Or because they just made a ton of money doing some random business.
Also at a certain point of wealth, 1 million isnt that much comparatively. Like to the average person, its completely life changing. To someone with a few 100 million in the bank, its around the same damage to their bank account as someone paying a neighbor kid to do the lawn.
@@nickloveskangin Based on my experience with people with such wealth, most do care. All three that I'm referring to are billionaires here in North America, all family friends, and none have inherited. I know a million isn't much for them, heck I'd have to work for about 50,000 years (or 25 baby-jesus-to-today) to have the same amount of money as one of them does (he's at roughly 3B). It's really the same as me giving 50k to my parents if I hit the 50 million jackpot, which is nothing. I just think the phrase the realtor used is both cliché, overused, and most untrue. Cheers!
@@viel.anthony based on mine, most leave their money (and expenses like landscaping) to money management firms and other teams, and work mostly because its not really socially acceptable to be jobless.
Like they would spend that million and it wouldnt even register.
When the guy says I want to get back in time and grew up in this house I was like Man we speak the same mind and I love you 😅
This house is exquisite
Magnificent!
Just in property taxes and insurance they are spending 15k a month their electricity bill and heating bill must be astronomical no wonder they are selling for 14.9 house is at least worth 25 to 30 million. Homes like these should have their own solar panels and heat pumps to save money.
Now this is old money!
“The major of Mexico City bought this house” 🤔 a public servant had the money to buy this mansion…?
Estás segura que la adquirieron, porque me interesa. Saludos.
I smell cocaine.
Shame.
In Mexico, like in most countries, politicians usually come from wealthy families
+Hugo- The *MAYOR* of Mexico City. Get it right.
Awesome! your potential seems limitless. I'm fascinated with investing but being a single mother and juggling all these things are quite difficult. how best can I start and what sector to engage in?
@Bryan wow! do you think you can give me some advice on how to invest in a healthy way as you are doing? Please

Investing in cryptomarket with the aid of a professional or experienced trader is a very good passive streams of income.
She is the best and has really made a good name for herself and i can Vouch for Ms Melisa Pamela Perez a certified ßroker with FINRA approved
A lot of investors have restrained from the market because of the volatile and sudden crash in the market. But I’ve learnt to understand that trading is quite different from just hodling. There are short sell for bearish and long sell for bullish.
Beautiful home. Surprised the dollar amount is so low!!! ❤❤
Built in 1929! That Mansion is 93yrs old! My Grandma who has passed on was born in 1930. Clint Eastwood also was born in 1930. To mention this Mansion is 50yrs my senior. I was born in 1979. The asking price $14.9mil. That's a bargain!
Said Reynaldo Cordero who has zero money. Class dismissed.
@@243wayne1 You are a sad human.
Very nice- I hope the families that lived here had many years of raising their family & learning from each other & love. The mayor of Mexico bought this property? Huh, now I know why there's so many poor Mexican citizens! Someone say fraud... Ray got cut- off when he asked how much that mayor net worth. I don't think broker used to being asked about costs.
Corrupt politicians - why so many are poor.
The mayor was working for the cartels and laundering millions of dollars. That's why he moved here and had such high walls. He was always looking over his shoulder till the day he died.
I love New Canaan.
It’s insane one lives like this
Yes. Greed is ugly.
Love it
That poor dog. He looked so sad 😞
Very pretty! The house is nice too.
It's a grill.
"Surprise"🤣🤣
how beautiful
It’s perfect.
I love it & i am from tunisia 😊🎉
Bravo! Very Nice 😘

Beautiful house. But in the Great Room that one end is asymmetrical with the giant window and it would bug me lol.
my favorite house in the world
9:25 “You're kidding me.”
“Yes.”
Id love it with either the ceilings a bit higher or the rooms a bit smaller
That dog is far too rich for that host 😂😂😂
Wow!
I love it a lot
Now that's a mansion! Not those marble-washed crap flats or gated community houses that looks exactly like the other houses around them.
This prices buys you only the guest house in a major city.
The wolf of wall street house!
Stop corporate landlords like black rock. They are causing homelessness.
Cool estate.
That seems really low for that place. I love that stately Wayne Manor look.
“That’s a great deal!” Me with $20 on my name 😅
Make that money!
the tension between these two could bring the contents closer to pangea again
So very English and utterly beautiful inside and out.
It's well worth the price.
Amazing that’s a lot house for 15 mil. In Colorado that would be a 30 mill plus home
All the room names remind me of the movie "Clue"
Omg really wowww
Great price. I live in California. It would sell for well over $25 mil.
I love a traditional style interior. very classic and grand. this house is way less then Kim and Kayne and has way more character I understand location plays a major part on pricing but I'm just saying.
This is a house for a royalty 😍💖
The mayor of Mexico city built a large wall to keep out Americans. That's awesome
More like to keep the cartels he was working for from killing him.
I wish they could have been able to take there time because we did not see the guess house neither all of the main house I did like what I saw
