Tour The Thimbles
First discovered in 1614 by Adrien Block, these islands were used for everything from farming to quarrying granite, from bootlegging to hiding Captain Kidd’s treasure. Captain Kidd sailed here in 1665…you can still feel his presence today.
Join Captains Mike, Justin, Bryan and the crew of the Sea Mist as you tour the famous Thimble Islands off the coast of Branford, Connecticut. For nearly sixty years, 1000s of seafarers have enjoyed tours and charters of the Long Island Sound with Thimble Island Cruise.

**NEW** Public Tours can now be booked online, we will book month to month. Towards the end of each month we will open the following month for new reservations.

CHILDREN - $10 ( 4yrs-12yrs )

Our crew is often college students working for the summer! If they treat you right a gratuity of any amount is well appreciated!
DOG'S: Only approved service dogs are permitted on-board (Lower Deck Only)

Cancellations policy: Customers who cancel will receive a full refund or credit in the form of a gift certificate with 24 hours notice of cancellation. Customers will also receive a full refund or credit in the form of a gift certificate in case of operator cancellation due to weather or other unforeseen circumstances. Contact us by phone to cancel or inquire about a cancellation. No-Shows will be charged the full price.

October: Sat/Sun Tours depart at 12 and 2 Last tours of the season will be on Sunday Oct 9, 2022
We are currently holding 9 seats on each cruise for walk on customers. If we have a cancelation or no show we may be able to accommodate you as well.

If you feel uncomfortable with our seating arrangements or being too close to someone else, we regrettably request you do not board. We are doing our best to have some separation, but we will not tolerate any rudeness towards our crew or captains for any reason! They are only following guidelines.
We are closed Tuesdays!
GENERAL BOARDING IS ON THE HOUR. WE DEPART QUARTER PAST EACH HOUR.
Cruise time is 40 to 45 Minutes. The upper deck is not guaranteed!
Please leave time for parking and to get to the dock. Tours will depart on time.
Please Note: We are one of three boat companies at the Stony Creek Dock. Each boat tours the Thimble Islands, has a different web-site and phone number. Each boat has a slightly different route, schedule and price. Each boat is different in size and goes by the boat name. But there is only one Sea Mist!

PUBLIC TOURS / PLEASE NO COOLERS OR ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES CAN BE BROUGHT ON BOARD !
No pets allowed unless they are a Service Dog. Pets/service dog will NOT be allowed on the upper deck for safety reasons. Sneaking your pet on board will be a fine plus your fare.
SECURITY ON PUBLIC TOURS, PLEASE NO: KNAPSACKS, COOLERS, SUITCASES, LARGE BAGS, BOXES ETC. We retain the right to check any suspicious items!
WE OCCASIONALLY DO GROUPS THAT FILL THE BOAT AND INTERFERE WITH OUR REGULAR SCHEDULE.

I’m crying rn 😭😭😭 I lived there almost all my life and moved away 2 years ago, I miss it so much and I remember riding that boat when I was very young and it made such a great memory, I’m glad see it’s still up and running 😭😭😭

Ideas to visit-What about Autumn in the beautiful town of Woodbury land of Antiques , picture frame restoration and gilding, bead jewelry shop and the famous Woodbury Pewter, all Historic Homes, local Highwire zoo , which has camel, zebra, ostrich etc. Great place to visit❤

Took the Sea Mist one year and the smaller boat last year.. big boat was easier.
Great content! Love your lively and sunny vibe. Have you heard of a graveyard near Stonington at Wequetequock? Supposedly, there are large, oblong “wolfstones” laid over the graves to keep the wolves from digging up the remains. Some of my ancestors are buried there. Thanks!
