Man, that orange SnG is still my favorite of the Striders you’ve had. Funny about the tires - I was shopping them recently and put the price in knife terms…”maybe I can go another 6 months” 😂
Definitely enjoy the warranty you get with USA manufacturers, for the most part I have had great luck with my USA made knives. But I sleep good knowing that if anything ever happens the companies I have bought knives from will take care of any issue I may have. Especially love Spartan Blades customer service they are extremely responsive. Love to do business with companies that stand behind their product.

Thanks for the tip. Ya I like that if there’s an issue I know all I have to do is send it in. I’ve even had makers call to talk about any issues I’ve had.
The knife community is weird. People like to complain about American companies a lot more than Chinese companies. Everybody's been spoiled by cheap, good quality knives from there. So now everybody thinks they're entitled to perfection when they spend $500+ on a knife made here. Stuff happens so I would at least expect a company to stand behind their product and make it right. And they do. Sure beats having to send it on a slow boat to China for repair 😆 I've seen a lot more China knives straight up fall apart compared to any knife made here. But bad news travels fast and some stigmas will just never go away because of that. It is what it is.
Completely agree. Everyone has an opinion and want to chime in. Especially if they are trying to defend their Chinese knife. But snap that blade and good luck. I know I can send any knife back to Strider, Medford, Chris reeve or name any American company and they are going to get taken care of.
@@ScotchNThings Exactly. I haven't had to send a lot of knives back for fixes, but when I do I'm always taken care of. Some people will never be satisfied, but if you are realistic with expectations, I think most people will walk away happy and be a returning customer.
@@Salamando3D ya I’ve got a buddy that’s super particular and the knife has to be perfect. He’s sent stuff to Medford and strider and had them do stuff. He striped a screw on a strider and they fixed it.
I like your videos
Thanks. I appreciate that
Lol good timing i listened while adding track to my new trailer for her maiden voyage tomorrow. Luckily its an easy route🤣
Haha. Good luck. Trailers can decided to ruin your day from time to time

@@edcevo3052 is that where they are located also. Shit might have to make the drive
I wouldn't mind watching a video about how you got into the silo building. I think it would make for an interesting video.
Will do. I showed one about a month ago show one. But I’ll do a how I got into it
@@ScotchNThingsI think it would be an interesting video.
Thats awesome the strike plate might be back on the channel. I have been selling off too for hopefully the production SMF DGG or smooth CC versions.
Ya I was just talking to Dave and I’m like do I really need it back or should I try for something else. Oh man
@@ScotchNThings1 vote for strike plate. There’s always going to be a cool new thing

So many Strider models, someone should write a book! Assume ti blade is for bypassing detectors. What about pivot? Ti too?
I could do it in crayon.
