    I agree with you - I don't know how those dudes can pull the pivot, washers, and bushing/blade without pinching washers. CRKs are so damn snug. I use Goof-off to take off nasty adhesives because even on clothes it doesn't stain (too bad). ✌️👊

      Ya I just rubbed and rubbed till most of it was gone. And ya I’ll try it sometime but how they do it without messing anything up. Man

    Frog Lube liquid for removing tape, gunk etc. always works great for me. I have a handful of CRK and only two Grimsmo’s. Both very precise of course, but I think CRK is my kind of precision. I find the Grimsmo hardware not to interface as nice with tool bits. The backspacer closest to the pivot on the 31 affects the pivot tightness so don’t go full blast on that, it can tune tension almost as much as the pivot. Grease only for CRK’s on the washers no matter what Batman or anyone else says. It is designed to run on grease not liquid lubes. Some people mix grease and liquid lube, it just gets messier quicker.

      Ya I agree with you on how well a crk is made. And anyone that likes to bag on them I don’t think ever really spent time with one. I need another 31 or 21 like I need a hole in my head but I’m always looking. For how much I love my striders it’s probably the best one and done knife out there.

    As much as I’ve loved every CRK I’ve had, the moment I got a Holt in hand, CRK wasn’t an option anymore. The precision Joe and Angie put out is mind boggling. Better than Koenig, CRK, even better than the rasks I’ve handled. My haptic and Morpheus are insane.

      If you think Holt is insane, wait ‘till you try a Milwaukee. Those razor blades cut through cardboard like it isn’t even there!

    Not sure if the 31 will ever be better or even as good as the 21…. HECK WHAT DO I KNOW…with that being said it’s still a heck of a knife!

      @ScotchNThings  26 дней назад

      Ya I’m with ya on that. I’m going to see how good one will break in though

  • @edged_mindset
    @edged_mindset Месяц назад +2

    Unfortunately the 31 will never be as smooth as the 21's just due to how they are built. And you can't crank the 31 pivot down like the 21's either

    • @ScotchNThings
      @ScotchNThings  Месяц назад +1

      Ya that’s why I started scooping up 21’s that interest me. The 31 can get smooth like a well used 21 it just takes some time and still it’s not anywhere really close to a well broken in 21.

      I’ve always been a Sebenza guy having 6 of them at the moment. I’ve had a couple inkosis but never kept them around and I don’t really know why. I like them but for me the Sebenza is my favorite
