I really need help. But there’s just no help. Psychologists and psychiatrists don’t help. They just don’t help. How do you help yourself when you don’t know what’s going on… what it is? I’m fighting a ghost. I don’t know where or what. Don’t know. Thank god I found this video. I’m NOT crazy. I’m not. 😢

I’m sorry you’re in the position to be watching it though, I wouldn’t wish it on anybody. I appreciate you, and everything you’re going through and I will try to make another video on this. Let me know what kind of questions you’d like answering or advice you like? I’ll do my best to help x

@@DamianoCambridge Thank you for your kind words. A big problem is therapy. Therapy should help - a huge part of one's resolution and healing process. Yet, therapy has done more harm than good. I would think I found an excellent therapist only for it to turn very quickly over a couple of months. It hurts even more knowing that they are CLINICAL psychologists. Not one, not a single therapist helped me. The one, I quote, told me "your suicide attempt in year 11 was a cop out". I can't do this on my own. I don't have any knowledge re my situation and I'm not going to fool myself by thinking I'm a smarta$$. Therapists don't listen. So what do I do now? Meds are not helping. Been drinking meds for 13 years now. Told my GP I want off. Either he's going to help me get off this safely or I'm going cold turkey and that we'll be on his conscience. Harsh? Coming from a place wherr highly qualified individuals have done more harm than good. No, it's not harsh. How does the meditation thing really work? Connecting body and soul/mind. Sure. I have been open minded. It's dumb. I'm wasting my time. Meditation to me is not therapy it's just a who-ha coping mechanism. Unless, I'm looking at this the wrong way? My marriage is not doing well because just as I'm suffering you could imagine the frustration my husband experiences. I'm better off dead. He'll be ok. He'll move on. I don't have family anymore. I cut them off. As my family, especially my 'father', did the most harm. So fu#* 'em. I'll be fine on my own. Always have been. So to speak. What do you do when you have from the bottom of your heart... The absolute pit of your soul... Tried everything and nothing not a shred of help is working. I'm giving it one more try because I'm definitely not ignorant to the chance that I might just be dumb tbh. I'll give it one last try and if in the next couple of years it doesn't work... Yeah I don't know. See? Even I'm rambling. I hope my message makes sense and you could see something meaningful, questuon wise at least. Please don't feel forced to make a video that includes this as well. I'm no one special and don't perceive myself as such. Just another human trying to be and do good. Take care and I sincerely wish you and your fam ONLY the best in life.

Alex, 26 y.o., in dpdr for 10 yrs 24/7, an sincerely speaking, i am a bit envious. You've got a family, a child for whom you can live, a purpose in life and i'm really, really happy for you.
In short: you don't fight it, and you don't live From it, you live with it (it doesn't define you, its just a part of you).
Get the two books of S.C. Hayes:
"Get out of your life and into youre life" and "A liberated mind", they're on ACT therapy. It's the single thing which helped me. Wish you all good.

      @DamianoCambridge  2 года назад

Thanks a lot for your comment but there is really no need to be envious of me, from what I’ve learned in the 18 years I’ve had dpdr is that no matter what goodness you have in your life, the dpdr doesn’t care. Ofcourse I try to be high spirited for my daughters but it’s not an easy task to accomplish! What is your day to day life like may I ask? Do you work? Have a social life etc? Cause I really find things like that hard in my situation

    • @aezius2644

@@DamianoCambridge Yes about the job, and a moderate social life (im a natural "introvert", no dpdr involved). In case of how you do it, man, i don't even know where to begin with :d.
First, things related to body: exclude all recreational drugs/psychostimulants like coffee, green tea, alcohol and the worst ones like smoking(cigs or weed). All of them induce artificial stress on your body, u don't want that.
Second, you need to really lvl up your cognition. For example, youre attitude towards dissociation is that it's fcking horrible, but is it? You dissociated while trying to protect ur mind from rough emotions (i suppose our parents wheren't the best ones, did they). The fact is, dpdr is the only thing that kept you sane (and i say that cuz in a normal situations, dpdr doesn't occur) etc.

Did you try the Wim Hof Method ? Its simple & it works oh yea
    Especially the deep breathing fitness.
    1 - 30 FULLY inhale & JUST exhale ( deep breathing round )
2 - Hold for as long you can after the last 30 Exhale (retention empty lung)
3 - Inhale fully when you feel the urge to breath (recovery / DMT release)
4 - Hold on the INHALE for 10 to 15 second (retention full lung)
(belly bake, chest bake, squeeze the head)
    - And exhale, let it go
-Repeat for 2 to 4 rounds

    Hi
I'm really confused cause I don't really know if I have DPDR or something else... sinds almost 3 months after a shock event in my life I'm started feeling like my house.my work place my street my family, friends and every single place I visited before strange and first time I went there and also my memories and everything in my life like doesn't happened and also music i loved and every detail in my life...myself my personality like not myself anymore... and also that i feel that everything around me is weird and like im not living in life and environment around me like trees and everything so strange! It's like I forget what normal is and who I was as a person before..
And also related my sensation of weather and environment and seasons?
And when I talk it's not seem like me
And my head like it's not mine
    Feeling like I'm not here...

Believe me, It’s taken a lot time for me to learn how to do so and still it’s not normal but it’s the best I’ve been able to function since this all started for me. Hi, my daughter left a comment and is still trying to do research on her own "illness". You said in a later video that they are looking at your frontal lobe and so on. My daughter had encephalitis when she was 10. Can you ask your doctors if that could have been a contribution to her state of mind and troubles? According to me all her mental issues started around that time. Thank you in advance

Hey, thank you for your comment, I’ll make sure I ask about it, currently they haven’t even checked my brain further than an mri I assume due to covid back logs still. My neurologist has also since informed me that I have to try 3 different medications for 4 months each to target chronic migraines before I go any further. Which I know for a fact won’t work as I’ve already tried them all before. I do despair with the hospital sometimes. I’m sorry to hear about your daughter though but would love to hear more on her symptoms etc if that’s possible?

@@DamianoCambridge thanks for your response. She also struggles with headaches and her overall health is not great and I do believe it is as a result of mainly her mental state. She was in a house with an alcoholic and narcissistic dad. No support from his side and a lot of verbal abuse and putting her down as well as blaming her for his problems. She was diagnosed with bipolar at age 17. She truly does not believe she is bipolar. My knowledge of mental illnesses isn't great so I don't want to say she is or isn't. I just wish I could help her.
