Clothing, armor, and customized weapons with a theme for each settlement - takes a ton of work. Especially for the "high end" communities where you want everyone to have a minigun and or gatling laser, fully ballistic clothing, and heavy combat armor patrolling a raised catwalk settlement covered in turrets so that even spawns in the middle of the settlement receive swift death from above. That said, the "greasers" at Red Rocket (switchblades for the guys, revolvers for the gals) in appropriate 1950's clothes is one of my favorite themes. Saving Shaun? Blech. I only advance the plot if I need to in order to get a companion perk. I normally own the entire commonwealth and finished the DLCs before the Brotherhood even shows up.
I never have that problem i hoard weapons and just trade them and armors for scrap bulk from trashcan carla and the diamond city scrap vendor who's names i cannot remember.
With Clark, I told him I had to kill the ghouls to prevent further human deaths, then I told him I would lie for him and blamed the missing supplies on the ghouls. This felt like the best solution to me
I convinced him that they were monsters and told him he should turn himself in, as he's not only been stealing from the Brotherhood, he's also been endangering the lives of those in the airport lest the ferals break loose. He doesn't deserve death, but he deserves punishment
The thing with Austin is easy, give the serum to the doctor, but while in conversation, turn away, drop the cure, and resume, if done correctly the doc will complete the animation of curing Austin, Austin will be cured, you can pick up the Cure off the floor and cure yourself too (this also works with the fusion cores to get in)
@@RamenAddict369 mmm or you could dump int down to like, 3 and then grab idiot savant for the quick early levels. Won't really need science until the later levels so you can just jump to science 4 for the jet-pack if you're not going BoS ending
for vault 81 some other rules are in place that almost guarantee you get infected from my testing. 1. if your companion takes damage you get infected 2. sometimes if you kill a mole rat but the animation for the attack already started even if you do not take damage you can still get infected 3. sometimes the game will bug out and you will get infected randomly just as a group of mole rats spawn it is possible to get through without getting infected if you abuse the quick save system like I would recommend doing because it is easy to make it through without being bit but hard to make it through without one of the above mentioning things happening is hard. Normally I would say not to abuse the system if you feel like it is cheating but honestly it feels like the game is cheating you if you don't abuse it there.
@@edmartin875 you are right 10 health ain't shit but when the game makes it almost impossible to get through it without getting the virus even on the easiest difficulty I'ma tell it to stuff it up it's ass and save a bunch lol.
There is a ridiculously high chance you will get infected, but not 100%. I made it through on one run using Berry Mentats (highlights ‘living’ targets) and quick saving at each observation booth. I then promptly realized I needed all the Vault gear for my settlements and resigned myself to a -10hp debuff😂
Does anyone know if #1 is true if you have a robot companion? I stealthed/save-scummed the whole way with Codsworth clearing them out. I even had to use a robot repair kit at one point to revive him and I didn't get infected, as I was never directly bitten.
My favored option, what's cooler than unleash a Synthrilla against the jerks that created them in a top tech underground facility run by inbreed scientists?
We all know the real tough choice....should dogmeat wear a blue bandana or a red one. It keeps me up at night Edit: I recently added a mod that lets me put any hat in the game and any eye wear in the game on dogmeat. Since you all are so passionate about our 4 legged friends fashion i have a new problem. Give me your best bandana, eye wear, and hat combo (note this includes DLC)
That Vault 81 quest is so stupid because if you bring a companion along and they get attacked, YOU get the disease even if you never get hit. Great job Beth, makes total sense.
Eh if you just use the copy glitch on the medicine a couple times it's not so bad, you could also just not bring a companion and never get hit by taking it slow.
That's why I love mods. I have one, I forget if it's the Unofficial patch or a separate mod, that fixes it so that you don't get infected when a companion takes damage from them. That way it's a lot easier to make it through without getting the debuff.
Zyra for a female character, Zur for a male. Rename your favorite items to include those names and they'll be at the very bottom of your inventory list, making it easier to go through all the rest.
I could sneak through that place and kill em all easily without taking damage without a stealth boy but I have stealth perks maxed and gunslinger and a bunch of other vats oriented perks that would make it easily accomplished through vats I could prob kill 20 mole rats on one vats round lol. I have real high agility and other things that allow me to get a ton of hits with my modified deliverer gun deacon gave me which takes 25% less ap in vats.
I think it’s the dumbest shit that Curie can’t just develop a second cure after reaching max affinity with her or something. You’re a doctor, Curie! Do some doctoring like you always say you want to!
9:02 If you join the brotherhood of steel or get power armor a different way, you can get bitten and not contract the disease, but you have to be completely armored. So I must admit, I never knew you could get infected with the disease, I joined the BoS early on and just went in with power armor. So here’s the tip: use power armor for this quest
To be fair, there are more than a couple of suits available by the time BoS show up on the scene. The only reason not to be playing in full PA is if you can carry a heavier load without it or you prefer to take a more stealth approach. But having a humanoid companion is probably going to get you in trouble with this quest. But between PA and non-human companions there are probably a number of players who never had to make this choice.
If anything it's almost like a permanent reminder you're a good person even if the boy walking around is a obvious sign of that. Not having that debuff means you're either very good at avoiding getting bit or a monster
You don't have to kill Jack right away. If you let Lorenzo out and leave, you can then meet up with him at the house, and Jack will be inside. Then, you can convince Edward to help you and Lorenzo kill the family
You want to cure both you and the boy? Walk away from the Doctor just enough for the dialogue to dissapear. Use the cure on yourself and move to the Doctor again. Then select "Give him the cure". Profit.
Guinea Pig Racer! I just let the protectron and my companion deal with the molerats. I did get bitten once but by a "mother molerat". It didn't say "vault 81" and I didn't get the disease.
@Gyvs7 I said writing. NV had an objectively better story and more well written characters and character motives. General gameplay wise I do prefer fallout 4, and it obviously has better graphics. As an open world shooter, fallout 4 is better, as an rpg, new vegas is better.
With the Duty or Dishonor quest, if the ghouls he was feeding were "normal" or non feral he might have had a point. I could see some non feral ghouls hiding from the B.O.S. in fear that they might be shot like the ferals ( a legitimate fear for a ghoul) and he was feeding them and keeping them safe. However since these are Ferals, he is putting his fellow Brothers in danger and they need to be put down.
In a none modded playthrough in took me an entire real day a load of ultra jet and berry mentats plus a fully upgraded combat rifle with an godlike amount of ammo. But in the end it was worth it for Curie.
The vault 81 problem is rather simple to solve. 1. Buy Spray N’ Pray from Cricket outside the vault along with some ammo if you dont have any 2. Dismiss your companion 3. The mole rats emerge at certain points, like when you reach the top of the first staircase. Quicksave before each of these points and right after every mole rat in a wave has been killed (chrouch to check). If you get bit, just load the last save and try again. 4. Rince repeat untill you get the cure. A few tips: 1. dont activate the protectron, it will act like your companion and will also get you sick if bitten. 2. Have Expert hacking before going in. There is a terminal that will allow you to skip the biggest wave og mole rats and will take you straight to the cure. And 3, dont bother aiming, just use hipfire and spin around like a maniac. Good hunting :)
I use the mod that prevents you from being infected if you are wearing power armor. I find it more realistic and since I practically live in power armor in the game makes it a non-issue for me.
@@clitcrusader4897 It's literally coded that if _any_ infected mole rat lands a hit on _any_ character, the player gets the debuff. "Incompetent programmers" is an understatement. I usually go for the flawless victory, even if I have to reload once or twice (jet bender FTW).
They should make it that if you get Curie's affection level to max, it gives a quest where you can take her to MedTek and she is able to make another cure for you to take
Y hay un Glitch en que si aceptas darles la cura y alejas la cámara fuera del dialogo y te tomas la cura, el doctor le salvará la vida al niño y tú ya te habrás tomado la cura. Es un win win.
Step 1 - Get a blood sample from Austin Step 2 - Get samples from diseased mole rats Step 3 - Get a sample from an irradiated ghoul Step 4 - Get a sample from a super mutant Step 5 - Synthesize a cure! Quest Ends and you get: A new trait which reduces your ability to get diseases, and gives back your lost HP. Curie with the help of your faction is now able to start disseminating the cure across the Wasteland.
When I first started playing I got through dozens of quests before I realized that you can take radaway to get rid of your radiation. The majority of my playthrough was me basically at 30 HP.
Easiest way ive found to deal with the mole rats without getting bitten is wait till you loot a gun with the explosive effect before doing the quest and then stay up on top of crates or on the sections of the floors that are not dirt so they cant pop up at your feet. They will agro and start coming to you and just shot at their feet when they come running. Also do not bring a companion.
Honestly I think that's why the have cricket waiting outside from time to time because she sells the spray and pray machine gun. It also helps to go alone
@@Pnth3rs1 By the time you come across a decent gun with the explosive effect, you can probably just level your hacking to master and just avoid all the mole rats by hacking the master level terminal that takes you right to Curie.
Wait, the mole rat disease came from vault 81?? When I saw it I just assumed some random mole rat gave it to me, i never bothered to cure it because the 10 health didn't really affect me too much. I never knew I could have used the cure on myself... That information could've made my "bad guy" run a lot more interesting.
10 points is nothing. That is like a scratch from Dogmeat when you are playing fetch. To make this even a difficult option the disease should have dropped 100 points. I assume they didn't set it that high out of fear that players would run into this storyline way to soon without much health from level ups.

then they give you a suggestion: first go to this area and gather ingredients, the booze will be awesome. you go there, but the moment you teleport out they direct the teleporter inside a rock.
Bethesda paid so much attention to detail with the Cabots, it amazed me. Once the aged Emogene returns home and gets her serum she turns young again. But a while after you've killed Lorenzo you can meet an aged Emogene in the Third Rail again. They could have just left her young model in, would have been explainable with the leftover serum from the raiders and the prep room. Plus we do not really know how long the age halting effect lasts after an injection. But they chose to go all the way and swap her model a second time.
whatever you decide to do in the blind betrayal quest doesn't matter as even if you convince paladin danse it's okay to be a synth, elder maxson shows up in a vertibird and tells you to kill danse or he will himself, so either way danse dies
Yep. I’ve been addicted since Fallout 3 and I’ve played Fallout 4 nearly everyday since it’s release, and survival mode update just made it worse. I also haven’t played Fallout 76 because Fallout 4 still delivers the awesome.
While helping all of the factions in the main storyline (The Minuteman, The Railroad, The BoS and The Institute) as far as you can, you feel that they all have an understandable reason for their actions and you empathize with them one way or another. Five years passed after the release of the game and it is still the toughest choice for me to choosing which faction do i side with at the end..
There's a mod that lets you side with the brotherhood while sparing the railroad. I always like to imagine forming a united front of the 3 other factions against the Institute in my playthroughs.
The Brotherhood are thieves, they steal everyone’s tech. They have good gear so it’s good for to be one of them. The Institute could become good with you as director, and they’re not that bad to begin with. The Minuteman are idiots, they put an unqualified stranger in charge. But they’re okay I guess. The Railroad is stupid as hell, lots of people including children are being killed by raiders all around the Commonwealth but they only care about saving robots. They waste so many resources “rescuing” machines instead of helping real people. They’re the worst. Best choice is to join the Children of Atom and forget about the Commonwealth.
@@mazrimtaim3107 Yeph. The Brotherhood here feels like an authoritarian cult. The leader tell you something, follow it without question. Different than the ones in Fallout 3 that feels like the "Right Side". The Brotherhood in NV is a sad bunch of people that hiding in a corner, which make them the most interesting BoS in the whole series. Damn, writing this will make me install New Vegas again. The Minutemen is like a naive bunch of people. "Lets help people", but which people? How to help them? Why help them? Many details aren't considered at first. No plan just go jump in it somehow. Make some settlement and invite people without background check? That just waiting for a problem. They a bit impulsive for me. But still, admirable and deserve some help. They do really want to help people. Rail Road is kinda funny. Lets save machines. Then what if its a turret? Or if its a terminal console? Are we rape the terminals when we try to hack it? Borderline wokeness. Those synth have turn off button. Just by that fact, we know that they are tools. Even when they have feeling. I will reconsider it when they succeed in removing the turn off button. The Raiders, many people didn't really considers them as a choice. They simply just chaotic. Too much barbaric. Yeah in post apocalyptic, everything will gonna be survival of the fittest. But they a bit overboard with it. Try to be civilized a bit please. Too easy to say "no" to this faction, should give them more noble cause to make it harder. Now, the Institute. They kinda weird for me. Weird as the supposed to be the antagonist of the game. Cos, if the condition in the game happened in the real life to me, it would make me become an Institute personally. I mean, my own son came to me asking for help for his much more naive thought of making the world better. Ask me to help him, with the whole bunch of the best personnel, resources, troops, and the most advanced tech in the world. I would say yes in a heartbeat. I mean, the kidnapping is cruel, but also an effective methods. Cos, I do agree with DiMA's methods for Acadia in the Far Harbor, even before I met The Insitute (I always goes for side quest before doing main quest). This game got quite good materials, but isn't as nicely done as it could have been. Each side should made us do horrible stuff for their cause. Then, give us the positive outcome of those horrible deeds, so they will be able to convince us more and give us justification for joining them and their own noble causes.
Unless your lvl 1 when you do the quest 10 hp is nothing. Just play smarter. you'll still die, you'll still be encumbered by radiation from time to time... why does everybody need to be 110% FO4 isn't WOW.
@@firstnamelastname8058 10hp debuff also shows indicator all the time till you cure it. On survival constant debuff indicator is kinda misleading. You can cure it only by not curing Austin or using Cabot's serum.
The thing about the Cabot quest that always made me side with Lorenzo was technically your character becomes immortal if you side with him assuming neither of you get shot after the game you can just keep getting his blood and never age It’s almost like a fallout New Vegas type of ending So the sole survivor achieves immortality forever impacting the commonwealth for good or evil
I personally love taking over the Commonwealth because I see it as though I just get to strike Back against those bastard Minuteman for all the quests Garvey made me go on besides its kind of fun being a massively badass raider
I actually was VERY worried about a power struggle in nuka-world when first playing through. I really wanted to give all three of them equal portions of the park, but noticed the math wouldn't allow that early on, so I gave my left out group the biggest slice of the Commonwealth to make up the difference. Sadly, they didn't go for it. For me this meant putting the Pack down. While I do miss their loony costumes and color palette, I feel like their obsession with alphas and leadership would have eventually lead to betrayal anyways, even if they were given the biggest cut. So I was left with the Disciples as my go to shock troops, whom I would mercilessly let loose on non-negotiating settlements, while the calm and collected Operators were left to keep order and compliance.
I chose Operators (because they have a nice, professional aesthetic) and the Disciples (because Dixie's voice), and gave pack items to all of my settlers in the commonwealth
+elitebelt I think he's talking about Nate's specific style of Skyrim+Fallout videos (10 Tiny Details, Top 5 this and that, etc.). No need for hostility.
Duty or Dishonour: He has PTSD... the BoS doctors do actually cater for this military condition as they accept the last survivor from the lost patrol who also has PTSD.
BoS are black and white, yes Brandis has PTSD but he hasn't done anything against BoS, he was just left behind enemy lines and went MIA and then returned. Clarke Have stolen of BoS and giving aid to the enemy. So he will face charges and be executed. It is after all Elder Maxsons BoS, the same BoS which will execute a synth which was their best officer, just because he was a synth.

I am a Paladin that has convinced the BoS to only provide support on hostiles and checkpoints... and absolutely nothing else... the minutemen govern the commonwealth and the BoS just get what they need to know, allied support when in agreement and information on the commonwealth... I understand their basic desire to restrict tech as should/do the "institute". Also what you are describing in regard to Brandis... is still PTSD... and he was not lost... he was ill and scared when you find them... and going by your rules... he stole BoS equipment as well as went AWOL. PTSD is simply experiencing a stressful/traumatic event/s of which effects your actions via mental health... if you paid attention... the dude who was stealing supplies states his teammates and the ghouls got slaughtered in the take over of the airport... and it effected him (Which is clear by his comrades bodies down below and his actions)... which is PTSD, FEAR and lack of training, he appears also young. From the sounds of it, you, like us all, at some points jumped to conclusions in your walk-through, made mistakes or even got curious and did not act correctly. BoS in my walk-through are in the commonwealth just to support the minutemen and not the other way round... i have achieved this through diplomacy/chat... they step out of line... i "could" destroy Maxson and if need be... the entire Eastern chapter. Signed: "General of the minutemen, Paladin of BoS, Saviour of Arcadia, Saviour of free synths and Saviour of the human race" and god knows what else... i mean technically i failed many, "Toughest choices", the overboss could of been potentially saved, institute, more synths, X6-88, So many more... and i also failed young Tula when she was killed by a Alien robot that i did not clear in a barn... In my latest walk-through i am at "peace" with every faction except the remains of the institute and only because i believe/d Bethesda would not allow me to shut down the synth generator... i could however... of just finished the game by not continuing the story... there are a lot of "Tough choices" in FO4... Edited, added some manners.
@@Gripen1974 I think Maxon was 100% justified in the expansion. When you see a synth upgrading himself you should know its them or us at that point. Maxon did nothing wrong lol. Exept murdering non feral ghouls i guess that aint cool and making an exeption for danse is also wrong aswell as destroying the institute instead of taking what is usefull, Still morally the most sound compared to the railroad or institute tho. Who are both bringing humanity to an end. At least the institute undrestand they are machines tho so maybe they could keep control but it seems a gigantic waste of effort to make synths that seem to have no usefull purpose and a very dangerous ai. Although i guess railroad could also be the moral ending since humanity aint that great :p But from the prespective of a human that does not wish enslavement or more likely eradication at the hands of almighty machine overlords brotherhood should be the way to go. Also has the best chance of defending the wastlelands they controll from say, the legion or other threats. The railroad has you set back humanity so far by destroying both factions in the area with decent tech and the ability to produce thier own even if the synths where not a massive threat wich they are.
When it comes to the Vault 81 conundrum, the minus 10 max health I can live with. It's a drop in the bucket, especially in the late game, but whoever decided to make it a status effect instead of a perk needs seriously reconsider their life choices. I hate the idea of having that little marker on my hud for the rest of the play through.
The first time I encountered the quest to deal with the Rebels in the Institute, it was a somewhat slippery slope. As that character was my Railroad character and was only working with the Institute as a double agent, so the thought prosses was, by exiling them I could spare them from the final battle which was fast approaching.
9:14 Honestly, it wasnt even a hard decision, i got rid of the debuff as soon as i got the cure. And when they ostracised me for using the cure i found when they wouldnt replicate it even if i got it to them, i just emptied my ammo stock on the residents and set up camp there.
In the Duty or Dishonor quest, I found another answer. Earlier in the dungeon, I found a dead brotherhood member and told the soldier about him. He decided to turn himself in and he let me kill the Ghouls. From the sound of the Brotherhood, they were much lighter on their sentencing since he learned his lesson.
The worst thing about the cure for Austin quest is that any bite a follower of yours takes or even the protectron you can activate counts to you contracting the disease. The best ways to complete it is build a crazy sprinter or a master of stealth and I think there's a terminal down there that allows you to skip part of the most infested section. But you do it everytime to get Curie...
I've always liked the idea of spawning in a second Molerat cure after you give the one you find to the boy implying that you actually found two and secretly kept one for yourself so that you could come across as a hero. That's my headcanon anyway. ;)
I just re started fall out 4 after all these years. I like these vids. Very descriptive and full of solid info. No useless Bumbo jumbo. Great way to get back into the wasteland
I believe you can also get infected if your follower gets bit as well. Better to just do that quest on your own. Tell your followers to stay the hell away!
"Do you want a dog as a companion?" should be the question that dictates between if you're a human or a synth in the game. Clearly only dog people can be real humans! :P
So for the Cabot House quest: If you care only about what rewards you can get, siding with Larenzo is the way to go. The Mysterious Serum gives you Radiation Immunity (basically), + 5 Strength, and +50 Damage Resistance for 60 minutes, and any time it runs out you can return to Larenzo and get another one. (This only works if you don't have one on you or one stashed in a container somewhere). This makes areas like the Glowing Sea and the Megaton Reactor Room (BOS ending) much easier to get through. The son will give you an okay-ish Gamma Gun legendary and some other trinkets, but that's really about it.
I’m a Brotherhood main. It crushed me when I had to eliminate The Railroad. I liked Deacon as a character. Didn’t care about the rest of them, but Deacon was pretty cool.
Vault 81 was the 1st vault where I actually read every terminal entry and tried to learn what happened and it was so gratifying to walk in and see the story conclude with those 3 coffins
One thing to note about the molerat thing: It's not just you getting bit, any companions or robots you activate getting hit will also give you the debuff.
what's worse about the vault 88 quest is that even if you avoided all the mole rat bites, if you have a companion with you that gets bit YOU ALSO GET THE DEBUFF
There so obviously needs to be a continuation of the storyline if the player decides to let Initiate Clarke escape with his tamed feral ghouls. Setting him up somewhere safe and have him conduct more research into the behaviour of feral ghouls for a duration while the player takes over responsibility for supplying food for the ferals. Then finally after some time, Initiate Clarke reaches a conclusion that allows him to train feral ghouls to scavenge their own food without killing people on sight. The quest is completet and the player gets rewarded with a gadget or maybe a perk so ferals will react neutral towards the player until attacked. In fact, there's so much in this great game's story lines and entrappings that lends itself very well to further speculation and imagining of what might further have entailed if this or that. In stead of redoing that aspect in Fallout76 to have this sort of live, dynamic development, Bethesda should have just opened up Fallout 4 for players to make and attach storylines to the gameworld, keeping an moderating role as to make sure it doesn't turn stupid.
Not to be rude… but on the institute one… you can go through virgils lab… end up in the room with them… hack the synths and shut down… talk to them and they tell you how they are wrong about you.
What?! The first one, the obvious good choice is to turn him in and exterminate the dangerous feral mutants living under a populated military base. To leave them there would put untold numbers of people in danger, especially since they have been fed consistently for some time. It would only be a moral dilemma if the ghouls were not feral, as it stands they are dangerous and pose a direct threat to the base should they catch the soldiers unawares. The guy isn't trying to be a bad person but his misguided affection for monsters could have ended up in the deaths of dozens of deaths and injuries. Not only that but he was diverting much needed supplies away from the Brotherhood to feed his pet monsters.
Well feral ghouls are immortal so eventually they'd run out of food and seek it elsewhere, which would mean they'd attack the nearest food source, humans, so yeah they're dangerous, not a hard choice at all in my opinion
@@fleacythesheepgirl personally I think the institute is way more shady and insidious, the bos seem more paranoid and misguided, and not entirely wrong about the dangers of technology thing, just their methods are extreme, though understandable in my opinion given the state of the world
I remember when I was in Vault 81 and I somehow didn't even know I was bitten and infected and just gave the cure to Austin - then I noticed something was wrong and discovered the infection - but I've been playing with the debuff ever since and if I ever happen to need more defense I can take my power armor :D
I saved Lorenzo Cabot when I played institute ending. The serum he gives makes you immortal leader of the institute and you can hand it over to the biotech guys to synthesize it! 😊
I noticed that, I managed to get through the vault without getting bit by the mole rats but Hancock did and I got the debuff. But I still chose to save Austin.
I realised this in my recent playthrough. I had Valentine with me and thought to myself; "The synth can't contract disease, I'll send him ahead as a minesweeper." To be fair, I was right that he wouldn't contract anything.

2. sometimes if you kill a mole rat but the animation for the attack already started even if you do not take damage you can still get infected
3. sometimes the game will bug out and you will get infected randomly just as a group of mole rats spawn

So here’s the tip: use power armor for this quest
To be fair, there are more than a couple of suits available by the time BoS show up on the scene. The only reason not to be playing in full PA is if you can carry a heavier load without it or you prefer to take a more stealth approach. 3.

One thing I will never do again is join the Railroad for the main quest (at least not unless I plan on betraying them 😂)
There's a mod that lets you side with the brotherhood while sparing the railroad.

I actually was VERY worried about a power struggle in nuka-world when first playing through. @@Gripen1974 Yes and no, Maxson is the problem... not the Brotherhood and Maxson is a brain washed teenager, Of which there is clearly room for "learning" (I got him not to attack the institute, not to attack the railroad, not to attack the minutemen and not to attack Arcadia).... he also wont attack dance unless you stupidly plonk dance on THEIR base lol.

You forgot my favorite option in A House Divided: releasing the gorillas to eliminate the rebels for you XD
That's the real consequence, the debuff is just window dressing.
I heard rumors that the cabots mysterious serum actually clears it. Donno if it's true though
Finally home get to watch now can’t wait to see what ya got in store 👍
These choices are why I always run 10 charisma lmao
The true toughest choice: good looking clothes or effective clothes?
Good looking
Effective
Pretty don't stop bullets
Felipe Mitsuka pretty with good armor
you can have both with ballistic weave lol
Love how thanks to duplication, you can actually save both Austin and yourself.
How do you duplicate the cure?
@@SeriousSergio21 probably a console command or some game exploit
You could drop the cure mid convo pick it up after and the doctor does the animation to cure him. After that just cure yourself
The first time I encountered the quest to deal with the Rebels in the Institute, it was a somewhat slippery slope. As that character was my Railroad character and was only working with the Institute as a double agent, so the thought prosses was, by exiling them I could spare them from the final battle which was fast approaching.

Honestly, it wasnt even a hard decision, i got rid of the debuff as soon as i got the cure. And when they ostracised me for using the cure i found when they wouldnt replicate it even if i got it to them, i just emptied my ammo stock on the residents and set up camp there.
simple counter Get Gud
I got fallout for Christmas it's fun as hell
I've always loved the U.S.S Constitution questline.
Seeing that ship on top of a skyscraper just never gets old.
I believe you can also get infected if your follower gets bit as well. Better to just do that quest on your own. Tell your followers to stay the hell away!
When I first did the Vault 81 quest I didn't even realize I'd gotten infected and so was really confused when it gave me the choice to keep it.
I followed the path that allows you to stay friendly with everybody but the institute. It was the best option to help everybody.
Tbh, the cabbot story was the easyest dession ever. I WANT THAT SERUM
"Do you want a dog as a companion?" should be the question that dictates between if you're a human or a synth in the game. Clearly only dog people can be real humans! :P
amen . i will take a dog over anything any day .
I keep my dog at the castle so he’s safe 😭
Dogs are the superior race
There's a theory that Dogmeat is a synth y'know.... It kinda adds up, look it up
gymkhanadog im allergic 😭
Ikr😭
When I tried to get the cure for Austin, I automatically got the debuff regardless of weather I got bit or not
You can get it if your companion gets hit
There is gas delivery systems in the ceiling. Sometimes your partner mentions the air quality is not good.
Another decision in the institute: you can sick the gorilla synths on them
It's a bold strategy, Cotton, let's see if it pays off for him.
what's worse about the vault 88 quest is that even if you avoided all the mole rat bites, if you have a companion with you that gets bit YOU ALSO GET THE DEBUFF
Well me having a stealth build makes the decision easy
Use it on myself
Oh, Cricket won't trade with me now?
Yeah, about that...
“Influence your story and the world around you” have you ever played fallout 4 xd

I always got the implication Clark would be given remediation and some probationary treatment after some confinement, not death
True, on both accounts.
However, there is no evidence that any one got hurt, and is his misguidedness really punishable by death?
Well feral ghouls are immortal so eventually they'd run out of food and seek it elsewhere, which would mean they'd attack the nearest food source, humans, so yeah they're dangerous, not a hard choice at all in my opinion
It seems like people just want to think anything the BOS does is evil.
@@fleacythesheepgirl personally I think the institute is way more shady and insidious, the bos seem more paranoid and misguided, and not entirely wrong about the dangers of technology thing, just their methods are extreme, though understandable in my opinion given the state of the world
Dominic Manester I wouldn't care.i don't like people😈
I’ve been playing FO76. But after coming across your videos. I uninstalled 76 and reinstalled FO4. I love the game.
I remember when I was in Vault 81 and I somehow didn't even know I was bitten and infected and just gave the cure to Austin - then I noticed something was wrong and discovered the infection - but I've been playing with the debuff ever since and if I ever happen to need more defense I can take my power armor :D
I wish you could join the Enclave as a faction

I saved Lorenzo Cabot when I played institute ending. The serum he gives makes you immortal leader of the institute and you can hand it over to the biotech guys to synthesize it! 😊

@@darthjoel6357 I meant the part where you give it to the institute for synthesizing it. Is it possible though?

You forgot that if your companion gets bitten by the mole rats, you still get the debuff.
"Are you willing to sacrifice your stats for one kid?" I mean... That's how you get best girl Curie!
For Austin, you can save spam to not get the disease.
