Can You Beat Fallout 4 With Only The Pain Train Perk? (in text form)
Pain Train is a perk in Fallout 4 that lets you damage enemies when you sprint into them while wearing Power Armor. Because it essentially turns Power Armor into a living breathing weapon, it requires Strength of 10. The kind of person who dreams of being a train pays no mind to intelligence, but does put enough points into Luck to get the Idiot Savant perk which has been mathematically proven to be a superior method of gaining experience compared to maxing out Intelligence. Endurance is useful to take damage, Agility is necessary being sprinting drains your Action Points which are influenced by your Agility skill, and Charisma to get a slight discount on Stimpaks from vendors.
With my body almost more than ready, my husband and I ran to the vault, I did a sweet 360 as I got to the circle in the center, we went under the ice, I discovered that you can pound on the glass when you wake up to watch your child get abducted by a sentient box of cereal, and then I woke up. Escaping Vault 111 while not attacking any of the Radroaches is beyond trivial at this point, I escaped the Vault, arrived in Sanctuary, got some delicious experience from Codsworth, got the Ur Speshal book to bump my Strength up to 10 so that I’d be able to get the Pain Train perk when I leveled up, and I began ransacking every single house I could find for garbage while Codsworth got to work on our little bug problem.
I have no idea how he managed to stay alive for the last 200 years because he can levitate off the ground and yet he somehow got himself stuck on a barrel. Or maybe he was just really into Bloatfly stings. He even said he doesn’t feel pain, so it’s probably that. I had things to do, so I fast-traveled to Sanctuary from Sanctuary, Codsworth had taken care of the bug, and I went to town scrapping every object in every house in all the land within the stupid green boundary.
I quite literally spent 10 minutes disposing of Sanctuary’s trash. I built a few boxes to store my valuables and was off the the Museum of Freedom because that’s the closest set of Power Armor. It took a few tries to get up to the roof, but I succeeded in getting a suit of Powered Armor, I let Preston take care of the Raiders outside the Museum’s entrance, I leveled up, put the point into Pain Train, and went inside the Museum to demolish everyone I could find.
That’s almost true. I went inside without armor to snag the Fusion Core then left the building and got back in my power armor to begin riding circles around my enemies. And you know what? Pain Train does far more damage than I thought, by a lot. All it takes is one hydraulics powered forearm to the chest and a Raider dies. One hit, who’d have thought? With all the Raiders knocked unconscious, they’re not dead, this is a children’s game, I met Preston and his gaggle of idiots, went up the roof, dropped to the ground like an angel death, and turned the Raiders into train tracks.
And just like one of my previous Fallout 4 videos, the only remaining problem here was the Deathclaw. Pain Train does a traumatizing amount of damage to most low-level foes. But a Deathclaw is not that, so I did the only thing I could think of that didn’t involve my Power Armor or the person inside it getting torn to shreds: I let Preston kill it.

you cant actually stop that murder. theres the sound of a gunshot, and the guys head explodes, but theres never actually a bullet in the air. bethesda have this effect in their game files called something like "head-explode" and you apply it to an NPC, it deals a huge ammount of damage then triggers head dismemberment. its used here, and its also used in fnv for jeanie may

jack roberts Thing is, you can then scrap the fence posts for half of the wood and make new ones. Honestly, it’s basically just buying exp at an exchange rate of 2 exp for every piece of wood you spend.
I certainly haven’t gone as far as he has, but if I find myself in a settlement and close to leveling up, I do occasionally do this.

Disclaimer: When I say “With Only The Pain Train Perk” in the title, I mean the same thing that I mean in every challenge video. The point is to beat the game by only attacking enemies with Power Armor using the Pain Train perk, not necessarily to only use a single perk throughout the entire game.

You could be normal and just like sacrifice the power armor and lead it to the cars and then blow up the cars like you should.

I love how a core can power a building for 200 years or a piece of armor for 20 minutes.
Passive drain vs. Active drain. Think about it. Those buildings are mostly still on some form of active power grid (The lights don't go out in the building when you yank the core.) So those cores are basically sitting there powering just that one machine basically, the elements inside the miniature fusion reactor core more or less being stable and lasting for years, like the sun. But now it has an unstable power drain on it that's being fed by nothing externally like the buildings, so it's nothing but active drain on that core, a core that likely had begun to run out of fusion fuel elements anyway and were being kept running by the machine you yank them from more than the core was running the machine.
@@sorrenblitz805 Even so, the difference wouldn't be that large. It is only that way for game balance, as you can get power armor very quickly and 4 got rid of the training requirement from 3 and NV.
@@ALLMINDmercenarysupportsystem Someone did a video on it and while Bethesda probably did not do this on purpose, due to how late in time after most of these cores were created, most of them will die in the next few months after the game starts.
Microfusion cells in Fallout are supposed to last for hundreds of years inside power armor, this is a Fallout 4 thing

Can you beat fallout 4 with a steady sleeping schedule
if you play survival mode, you pretty much have to, or you start doing it naturally because it's the only way to save the game. finding sleeping bags for "quick saves" run a huge risk of catching a disease, you what happens is you quest for about an hour, then you start looking for shelter to save, and you end up finding a spot at night and sleeping until about 5am so you can work in the daylight.

Ejecting the fusion cores is optional so I meant that he could just use the perk to preserve fusion cores for longer
That perk wasn't available to Paul, it requires high intelligence, so it's effects wouldn't be worth it compared to getting damage resistance perks

Boss Dude the safest place is the building right beside the place where the Deathclaw comes out, just go into the building or upstairs, there should be a raider on the top floor. Got a good vantage point on the Claw with my rifle because I play snipers and save the most of that 5MM ammo as possible to sell.

Fun fact: a random set of power armor can be found completely undefended out in the open just to the northwest of sanctuary next to a random helicopter which is way easier to get than going to the museum of freedom

The fence post thing works with shelves, which also works with steel. They can stack if you don’t move your crosshair and just spam the button to build it. Scraping it will give you 1 of your material back so you can build half the amount the second time if you built the max amount again. So you could build 1200 shelves, scrap them all, then 600, and just keep going.

For the exp grinding, you can also spam shelves with steel or wood for 2 each, and an aditional bonus of the shelves is you can spam them all in the exact same spot

I've done this. Though their are plenty of enemies you can't chainsaw. Boomers, the big claw monsters, berserkers, and the flying things

You can also us shelf’s they stack and you can use both metal and wood and it’s much faster

@SAKONE 4215 what im saying is its unplayable like that because in fallout 4 you cant sprint in workshop mode which is crucial to survival mode and in skyrim how are you going to sneak whatsoever?
The only time you *have* to use the workshop, is the teleporter thingy (its name escapes me at the moment) and you don't have to move while building it
