    People found out this is the best gen for the SI’s and they’re going up in price like crazy. Cost the same to buy a 10th gen unfortunately.

    The moment you change out those 29lbs rims with anything sub 20lbs it feels like you gain 30-40hp no joke. Those stock rims really hold it back and it’s a big reason why the 2013 is actually faster when tested side by side

    I have the 2020 Si Coupe. I love it. Really fun and really fast. Only thing I don't like about it is the rev hang. Other than that though, I'm really enjoying it. I love flooring it in mine when I'm in first and second gear. I love the power the car has. Great video.

    Owned mine for 18 months. 220000km (+120000miles) Driven 25000km so far very reliable, changed the oil frequently 5-7000km (Canada). Not the fastest, but super fun to rev to 7000rpm, very good in the corners with good summer tires and with the LSD differential. Also pulls very well at highway speeds but revs are too high (+3000rpm) for long trips. Very spacious in the back seat. Upkeep of the red seats are a bit too much especially with kids.
    Super fun to shift gears and to learn how to heel toe and rev match. Clutch is super easy...maybe too easy for me.
    Overall its a great car and the best I've owned. Also more fun than a WRX.
    Overall best ⁰pp

    hi, its a nice drive test video for the civic, just wanted to ask, bc im in the process to get a 2013.
    Correct me if im wrong, but you switch from 1st pole to 2nd one around the 20mph, then 2nd pole to 3rd pole in the treshold of 45~50mph is that right? Im a bit surprised of how long are the pole gear ratios in comparation with a normal suv like the eco sport, ive been driving one and i needed to switch to 3rd pole around 18~20 mph, a shorter ratio, i assume it is normal bc of hp difference between both, but what you think?

    Owned one for 3 years. At 100,000 the stock clutch is known for eating itself under normal driving conditions, the rear brakes require extensive maintenance, the tranny is great but the clutch delay system is sub par at best. The engine is peppy and fun but in the grand scheme of things a mini van will take you more likely than not regardless of your skills as a driver. It’s a fun daily but doesn’t have much wow in the performance car category. Save your comments about my driving skills. I’ve raced bikes and cars on track extensively and I can hold my own quite well.

      -I'll give you the point about the clutches on these. the stock ones have some odd failure points. nothing a mild aftermarket upgrade cant fix though, plenty of options out there.
      -idk what to tell you about the rear brakes, owned mine for 30k miles/5years and havent had one single issue. nothing on forums either.
      -clutch delay system? you mean rev hang? buddy thats there for emissions lol. they make these things called ECU reflashes that get rid of it.
      -you dont get an Si to leave it stock and expect to be a "wow performance car". they were made to be modified on the cheap. at least before covid anyway. those days are now gone I feel.

    These cars have an obscene amount of torque. 1st gear in this car has more torque at the wheels than a V8 Crown Vic in 1st gear. if you factor in the torque converter they actually tie.

    • @DMCarReviews
      @DMCarReviews  7 месяцев назад

      Really? I thought the torque in this car is like 170 lb/ft

    • @Grafyte
      @Grafyte 7 месяцев назад

      @DMCarReviews the key is "at the wheels". That 170 lb ft is combined with some seriously short gearing which of course multiplies the torque. It has much less horsepower so that torque doesn't last as long before you need to shift which results in worse acceleration overall, but the drivability and satisfaction of this powertrain is incredible.
