Caesar4 was one of my favorite game in my college life, it fills so many happiness into my college memory. I installed this game last night but failed to start it on win11. Finally I fix it today, I think I can enjoy this game tonight after office. Thank you for this ost.
Эта игра + Maunt and blade Эпоха турниров+ Rise of civilizations= идеальная игра, может сам смастерю такую.
I actually only owned Caesar 3 when I was young, but luckily my sis had bought this to our shared steam account. I'm not overstating that puttering away at C4 to this music was just what I needed to see myself through spring of 2020.
@@handlehaggler yeah our old second-hand of a Pentium 1 couldn't run that many games, so various 90s builder/management games really were what we grew up with. But Caesar 4 plays very modern to this day, and along with C3 the music is still the best of any Roman themed game.
To the person that made this music - it might have just been a project for a game you were involved in but single handedly you have left an impressional print on my life. Sounds overexaggerated, i know but the best times in my life were playing this game when i was growing up, sounds lame, yes i am sometimes but this was 10/10 in my view and from my experience
C'est tout à fait dans l'imaginaire que je me fais de Rome. C'est assez cohérent avec les trames sonores des films péplum, mais en même temps c'est créatif et unique au jeu. Bravo!
This game is legendary. Its soundtrack is simply incredible. I would listen to it for hours and would never get tired of doing so. I still play Caesar IV nowadays (2022). Love it!
I would never thought that I would visit a RUclips channel put up by the composer of this masterpiece. Every time I play (I still do) I keep the music on, and I know it by heart 😄 Great job, Mr Zizza.
THE Keith Zizza is finally on RUclips? I spent so many hours listening to your great music while playing the great games you wrote them for (RIP Impressions). The Caesar IV soundtrack is a lot of fun because I enjoy listening to the higher-definition remakes of the returning pieces from Caesar II - Lux et Veritas, Carmen Legatus Legionis, Vox Populi, and Excipio. Of the new tracks you composed, Senatus Populusque Romanus and the Desert/Asia/North Africa tracks are my favourites. Shame you didn't also score Caesar III, though that composer did a fine job (if leaning just a LITTLE too heavily on the Ben-Hur references...).
I still come back to your music as a reminder when all other musical memories are gone this shines through Thank you for such great music (including lords of magic)
@@KeithZizzaMusic Wow, this soundtrack is so incredibly underrated, it emulates the glory and the magic of the ancient Rome to the highest degree. The best city building game soundtrack of them all. Caesar IV wouldn't be the same game without it. God bless you for your amazing work, sir!
@@KeithZizzaMusic Hello Keith. This is beautiful indeed! I fell in love with orchestral music when listening to symphonic metal, particularly Nightwish and Epica. Just one example here... ruclips.net/video/G1YTu54A69w/видео.html - the last 3 minutes pure orchestral sound, no metal. I used to play Caesar III some 15-20 years ago. Now I'm just watching videos of Caesar IV and I discovered this score. Really enjoying it. Thanks! :)
I remember just playing the game, doing game stuff, and then all of a sudden this music starts playing. I was like WTF? What am I listening to? It's magnificent! It's like I was eating a meal at McDonald's and in the middle of my burger was a Wagyu Fillet Mignon.
I was playing Civilization 6 with Trajano (Rome) and it caught my attention that the music sounded very similar to Caesar IV, and I came here to check, and it does!!!! I love it that they would pay tribute to such incredible games like this. Also if you love this game I totally recomend the Civilization ones. Caesar remains one of my favorites though
Indeed, Victoria, that´s also my opinion. It´s funny, because I´m now playing Civilization 6 (great game!) and it / its soundtrack transmits the same piece of mind to me as Caesar 4 did.
WOW I never knew C4 had so many tracks from C2! I was a great fan of C2 and used to pause the game just to listen to the soundtracks looping over and over again! I played C4 for some time but I didn't go far, as unfortunately I didn't enjoy the gameplay, and I must say I missed out big time on your beautifully composed music!

I still have, and still play this game. The music is one big reason for me to keep the game.
Me Too, le gameplay was fun but the music was awesome

Its crazy bliss right, how good was the game? And you played it with your sister? Thats so awesome! Damn!

Absolutely best soundtrack about ancient Rome! I love to fall asleep to Senatus Populusque Romanus. It's absolutely masterpiece

This music makes playing that game irresistible
Thank you sir. This soundtrack is a masterpiece.
Everytime I hear it, I feel nostalgic... You did a great job !! :)
Thanks Gary, I appreciate the kind words! It was one of my favorite composing experiences... both fun and challenging.

Sim, essa trilha sonora levanta a moral é nostálgico, relaxante e lindas!
Keith you are a talented composer. Hollywood should use your stuff in movies!
For me, 1:27:18 is definitely the best piece ever composed for a game OST
Hugo I agree 100000000000000000 % !

Displiceo sounds nice for a moment you're doomed
Can’t get Northern Europe One off my head after so many years!
They should have used you for the Total War Rome series, sir. Makes the entire game experience so much better.
Oh wow just saw this comment right after posting the same thing haha
Ha. Yeah, it still rocks. This is still a good game. Holds up really well to newer stuff.

Try revisiting it now. New user levels are still being added in 2022.
I'm very happy to say that this soundtrack has a special place in my childhood. This is truly a hidden gem, thank you Keith Zizza.
Estas músicas me lembram a minha infância. Grandes momentos em frente ao computador.
The soundtrack of this game is one of my favorites!! Thank you for this beatiful music!
This was definitely a masterpiece ... the entire game. If only EA had the balls and integrity to make simcity 2013 similar to this.
Listening to this on Inauguration Day, 1/20/21. A fine day for a new founding.
Great Roman music OST thanks!
thank you!
you made a great job and my youth too
First and last thing that is good in this game.
If only we could have such soundtrack on Rome Total War games
Casear went on to shrink in stature yet grow and propagate greatly within the pizza franchise market.
Hey buddy dont read this
39:25 This piece of music symbolizes supremacy
