I've spook with somone that worked on battlefield like 2 years ago or maybe 3 and he told me that they had zero idea what the next battlefield would be , he told me that they were maybe going to a more Modern title but they din't really know where to go .

Definitely modern setting, but time will tell if the game is actually good or not...
