Helpful, but for me the biggest question is how the heck do you remove the filter to clean it??? Instruction manual from KitchenAid show a different filter style than what's actually in my model. (My model is the same as your video)

@@rosie50505 What's the model number to your washer? I might be able to help if it's the same as mine.

Thank you! My culprit was the circulating pump filter W11084156. Cheaper to keeper.

Thanks! I had a orange wire unplugged when I was installing my new dishwasher and this video helped me figure out where to plug it in! I have the 404 not the 704 but they are very similar underneath.

I need to know how to remove the lower rack on this and similar models. My dishwasher is KDTM404 but the interior seems identical to the 704 The front clip that keeps the heating element down got bent backward (don't ask how, too detailed) and I can't get it back over the top of the heating element. If the lower rack was out, I could access it better.

which grommet is used for the center bottom of the arm assembly? i think is 'diverter grommet' type?

Disconnecting the dishwasher and removing it was easy. I have side-mount screws, however, and now I can't figure out how to reattach those screws without pinching the gasket under the screw head. Do you have a solution for that? Thanks

Awesome. You make it look so easy. Is there a 'run test' option for this dishwasher? The lower spray arm on my dishwasher is not spraying water. I'm trying to figure out if it's a motor or computer problem, or even something else.

Why not remove the lower dish rack?

I was trying to determine if there’s a filter to clean on the model KDTM704ess after watching I still don’t know. Our dishwasher really smells.

These videos show the lower assembly being removed with a simple counterclockwise twist and pull. No, mine doesn't budge after moving it counterclockwise.

Me too. The arms do not push down, but will rotate with a clicking ratchet sound either direction. Did you ever solve this?

@@peterfraser5704 so, I’ve been able to do it but it’s not with any methodical way other than pulling up will I turn counterclockwise. It’s not as easy/intuitive as this video shows but it will come up if you happen to pull up/turn at the right time. Sorry I’m not any more help!
