Sorry, I’m a bit confused…You’re saying ONLY use stimulation mode for 10 ish min, then turn pump off for 10 min, and then repeat that process twice? So no expression mode at all?

With the Specta S1 model, the settings are a little confusing. When you first turn on the pump, it is automatically in expression mode. The short, strong suction patterns will illicit a letdown. If you press the massage (3 wavy lines) button, it will then take you into stimulation mode. So by pumping in the first mode, you are in expression mode, which will generally yield more milk than in stimulation mode. But if you feel you get better output from stimulation mode, try that instead! Each woman's body can vary on their sensitivity levels! This is just general guidance that is effective for most moms.

Why does my Spectra 2 not go to 70??

The Spectra S2 has a single cycle speed of 70 in Massage/letdown mode (suction level can be adjusted). Once the user switches to Expression mode (when milk is flowing), the cycle speed is adjustable between 38-54 cpm.

So, The Spectra S2 does have a cycle speed of 70, but only in Massage mode.
