POWER PUMPING eBOOK is now available www.themommanurseshop.com I will discuss Power Pumping using a single pump (2 different methods), answer Power Pumping FAQ plus so much more. GRAB YOURS TODAY
No, keep everything still set up and ready for pumping because it will be a consistent process/hour. Not enough time to wash the parts during the session. If you want to wash them AFTER the session then that is fine.
Thank you so much for this video... after the one hour... should we continue with our regular pumping schedule or do only the one hour power pump for the number of days... thanks ... awaiting your reply
@@MommaNurse It is both and honor and the minimum I can do to show both support and appreciation for giving us our beautiful baby. Thank you again for the wonderful video. You are an amazing mother. Bless your heart❤
Prayers to you and baby on your journey. Are you eating an adequate diet and drinking enough water? I had to come back to comment because I’m so surprised how well this method works! My production went down again after my second mastitis. I started yesterday morning with 1 power pump session and production was 185ml. I pumped 3 other times that day for 20 minutes as I usually do. This morning I power pumped again and production was 290ml. Still have to see how it goes the rest of the day. But I’m already extremely impressed about this difference. My low production gave me so much anxiety. Thank you so much for sharing!
My needs are chocolate (I have month supply of chocolate at home), water (2 bottles of two liters, one for each arm) and hands-free pump. I can pump while feeding, makes my life so much easier
Thank God for sending me to this video. I have been pumping for 30 minutes every 2 hrs. It has been 3 weeks and I have only seen the tiniest bit of increase. I feel like my nipples will fall off. I'm going to decrease the duration and add in a power pump session like you described. I hope this works.
I’m so glad you found this video. 30 mins every 2 hrs will definitely hurt after 3 weeks 😖. You should definitely see results. Continue your water intake, eat a well balanced diet, eliminate stress and Power Pump ❤️. Good luck on your journey and congrats on your bundle of joy 🤩.
My baby is 4 months old and I've been successfully pumping/breastfeeding till just a few days ago when my supply inexplicably decreased. I'm FREAKING OUT and have been trying all the tips. Drinking more water, eating more oatmeal, adding a pumping session, breast massage, supplements. I have yet to try power pumping and I really hope it works. Thanks for this video! There's something about your calm demeanor that just put me at ease.
Aww thank you. Power Pumping produces results for sure! I also recommend doing it along with the other tips you mentioned (it just makes for a better outcome). Definitely do the power pump session for one week and you should see results.
@@anneshirley95 I power pumped for over a week and didn't see any improvements so I am trying some supplements. I also had to just be ok with the fact that supplementing with formula is OK. My baby is fed and gaining weight. That is what I need to focus on.
@@alinatarkhanian I’m stressing right now because my baby was in the nicu for 23 days, and I was pumping while she was there, and once she was able to eat we gave it to her. I see my supply decreasing because honestly I’m not drinking enough water or eating enough, now that my baby is home I find myself just worried if she’s eating. After watching this video I’ll be trying out pumper pumping, & I also ordered brownies off of the Milky Mama website... Anyways, I just wanted to say seeing your comment helped me out, about how as long as your baby is fed then it’s okay!
I just started eating oats, flax seeds, yogurt, etc. yesterday and I’ve been power pumping like crazy. Don’t see a difference yet, but I hope I do soon
Thank you for this. My baby is 2+ weeks old and I struggle to produce 1+ oz/day. I don't understand how other moms can produce like 1 liter/day. My baby is mixed feeding rn but I'd really like to have her on breastmilk exclusively. I've tried everything including organic milkmaid tea, moringga, fenugreek, sunflower lecithin (when my ducts were clogged with colostrum), lots of soup, water..... I guess this is my last hope, waiting to see results..
Be careful with fenugreek, some mothers have the opposite result with that (less milk production instead of more). Definitely give this a try, be consistent. Being that your supply is so low I would recommend 2 power pump sessions a day (if possible), if not then just do the 1. Also, check out my video on my overnight snack that also helped me increase my supply.
My baby is definitely getting enough milk from each feed (I can tell by weight gain and diapers) but I’ve been trying to start a frozen milk stash for when I need to be somewhere without him or so dad can start bonding with feeds as well and honestly the most I’ve ever gotten was 2oz out of both boobs and that was basically a miracle. I’m definitely gonna try this
2 oz is still PLENTY of milk, you go Momma! This is my go to trick for creating my milk stash. Check out my other video How to build a milk stash for back to work| 6 tips | 238 bags | Build your milk stash | 2020 ruclips.net/video/p1wE2dlT5qI/видео.html . I also have one on organizing my milk stash of 238 bags.
I absolutely appreciate this comment because it is my thought exactly. I’m simply trying to build a milk stash for baby girl while I’m away (work, grocery store, etc.) I’ve gotten down to 2 bags and usually keep an average of about 15 bags in the freezer. I’m not happy about that at all.
Don’t be down about it momma 2 bags is better than no bags! You’ve got this. Set a goal of setting aside (at least) one bag a day . Don’t be too hard on yourself the stash will come. I would wake up early mornings and continue the night sessions even when they would sleep thru the night…gives you extra opportunities for building. I have a 1 week old and a history with PCOS, my lactation specialist has instructed me to power pump. Thanks for sharing this information, I will be making all of my baby’s food pretty soon prayerfully.
My son is today 6 weeks old and i‘m lucky that i can at least partially breastfeed him bc i have a genetic defect called tubular breast, my breast tissue didn‘t completely develop in my teenage years. The part under my nipples is very small to not existent. I will try this out, maybe the functional part of my breasts can increase the production to make up for what‘s lacking…. Wish me luck 🍀
I had breast milk for about 10 days after delivery one day I did want to breastfeed Because my baby stomach was not full and then I was advised to my friend take mamicon syrup and mamicon capsule for 7-8 days I have started taking milk and the special thing is that it is ayurvedic I ordered it form Flipkart$($7$+9)
Been exclusively breastfeeding my baby for 5 months. She recently started solids and my supply has dropped in what seems like overnight. Baby has slightly less wet nappies (plenty poos though) but I knew my supply had dipped since my let down is usually within seconds but took about 5 mins to start. I don’t hear my babys deep swallowing like usual just small gulps. Definitely trying this to build my supply back up 🙏
Yes, definitely give this a try. While baby is eating solids go ahead and pump to make up for the loss. This will help keep the supply rather than losing it. Keep in mind also that beginning solids will alter the output (urine and poop) but you want to make sure baby is still hydrated and getting enough nutrients. Good luck 👍🏾
@@MommaNurse this video has been one of the most helpful I have seen yet, I'm having my 1st baby in Dec and have been a bit on the anxious side.. thank you again🥲🙏🏼

Thank you for this video. I’m 7 weeks ppd. Stopped for a week pumping because I’m really discouraged with my supply. I’m going to start up again 7-8 a day and power pump 1 session. I’m hoping my supply increases.
Don’t be discouraged by your supply, your body is still adjusting to baby and pumping. This is the most crucial time to be consistent with your pumping and nursing because it will build the demand for milk. Keep at it, you are doing great ❤️.
I honestly wish this community would either visually show with demos or explain the words in which you’re talking about…”cluster feeding” “letdown” not everyone took their child home when they delivered some of us were in the ICU just trying to live

Thank you for this video. I have always breastfed but I had a micro-preemie born at 25+2 eleven days ago. At first my supply seemed adequate but I've noticed my supply tanking everyday over the last 4 days. Probably a bit due to stress and my pump had broken so I had 2 days where I had to manually pump which further frustrated the process. Pumping is different from breastfeeding and comes with different difficulties. I'm going to try this.
Congrats on your new baby, praying for baby to grow into a healthy little boy or girl. Yes! I always tell people that breastfeeding and pumping are two different things. Definitely give this a try it works wonders. Hey, it was very informative video. I just loved the way accurately and precisely you have explained everything about power pumping. I have gone through so many video and at the end it seemed a huge thing to be accomplished but your explanation has given me self-confidence that yes i can do it. The way you explained looked super easy. Thankyouuu so much for such relaxing gesture. Stay blessed.
Good info! Just to add to this wonderful info, what is important to remember is that adequate removal of breast milk is key, either from breastfeeding, hand expressing or pumping. Power pumping is great, however pumping in excess can also cause problem if the pumping parents stimulates breast and does not keep up with it as milk supply will increase, and if not consistent with removal of milk, this can trigger plugged ducts, or other breast issues. Always, get the support of lactation consultant if available, there are many breastfeeding resources and lactation clinic for support. Great educational video.
It makes me so sad to see some mamas comments about their milk supply. 💔.. I know that all we want to do is feed our babies. I had a major decrease a few weeks ago and it happened over-night… my baby’s milk supply decreased to less than an ounce. I felt hopeless, upset, and I cried. I believe it was due to stress from a full semester of college courses. 🥲 Along with mother’s milk tea, I turned to Fenugreek supplements and started resting more. I’m now back up to nursing him until he feels satisfied from feeding and then about 3 ounces to empty my boob. It’s nowhere near where I started, but this video has motivated me to try the power pumping to help increase it back to my “normal”… Thank you for this informative video.. and thanks for getting straight to the point ♥️♥️♥️
This comment was definitely touching. I’m sorry for the sudden drop in your supply but, I do hope this video helps you get back to your normal supply. Thanks for your support to all the mommas out there. Stay consistent and positive, good luck on your continued journey ❤️.

@momma nurse : why should we power pump preferably in the morning when the milk production is at its highest ? I’d logically contrarily be tempted to power pump at night when baby is hungry and I have less milk. Thank you for your response 🙌🏻
Hi, congrats on your new bundle of joy ❤️. What I recommend is starting on the lowest speed that is comfortable for you, not painful, and you are able to see some results. If you feel any type of discomfort lower the speed. If you feel like there are no results increase the speed. You can do this multiple times per session. As long as you are comfortable. I hope this helps and thanks for watching ❤️❤️❤️.
I prefer the electric. But I do however use the manual pumps in between /on occasion. I do have a couple reviews on my channel of both manual pumps and the electric pump I am using this time around. Be sure to check them out.
Awww thanks.. 1 another question plz.. In power pumping, during 1st session do I need to pump 20 mins from each side or for 10 10 mins from each side??? Kind regards
Do 20 mins from each side. Try to use a double pump if you have it. If you are using a single pump then it may be easier to do a 2 hour power pump session. 1 hour for each breast to go through the entire session.
Yes you definitely can! Continue your normal pumping schedule and just chose one of those pumping sessions to do your Power Pump Session. Whenever you know you have a hour block of time without interruptions.

@@ashlygarciazea3447 yes keep pumping. Now is the best time to build up that milk stash. Set a timer or alarm on your phone to remind you to pump. Each time you pump reset another 3 hour alarm. Do you pump after a certain week after baby is born so your milk came in already or do you think it’s better to pump right after baby is born to help milk supply ?
Yes, I still pump regularly throughout the day when I'm power pumping. I (regular) pump 45 mins either before or after baby nurses, so typically around 8, 11, 2, 5 and I pump for 15 mins sessions. For my 2pm session I just turn that into my power pump session because my baby naps for a longer period at this time. Hope this makes sense 😊
Very good question. Your breast supply milk on demand. So if you pump before your baby nurses then your body will think that your pumping session is the baby. Then When it’s time for your baby to nurse, your body will naturally think baby is hungry again, resulting in your body producing more milk to supply your baby. The more you pump or nurse tells your body to produce more milk. I don’t bottle feed my babies, until I go back to work then dad will bottle feed, I avoid it if possible.
Hi momma, I have a 4 month old who started day care last week. I felt a drastic decrease of my milk supply overnight. I do admit I have been drinking more coffee. My biggest worry he is not taking formula and has not started solids yet.
This happens when there is a change in your schedule, or together time. Have you built a milk stash? I would recommend working on that ASAP (here’s my video on how I built mine How to build a milk stash for back to work| 6 tips | 238 bags | Build your milk stash | 2020 ruclips.net/video/p1wE2dlT5qI/видео.html ) Power Pumping will definitely help you build this stash and increase your overall milk production. Don’t give up, keep nursing your baby, drinking water and pumping every chance you get to build your stash. My babies did not like formula either so I can understand. I hope this helps, please reach out if you have any other questions ❤️

I see no milk coming while pumping.. when I press by nipple manually I saw that milk is coming.. my question is even if I see milk when I press manually then why I am not getting them while pumping... could you please answer my question it will be helpful for me..
It could be either an incorrect flange size. Try sizing down on the shield you are using. Also make sure all parts are connected correctly to ensure the pump is functioning properly.

@@kaylakidd9682 Thank you so much!! My lactation told me to try pump to get the higher fat milk and give him that after 3 to 4 times of the feed for 1 week and then we gonna check his weight again. His pediatrician told me to add some enfamil gentlease into my breast milk but he hates the formula so much that he wouldn't drink any of it but my breast milk 😂 hopefully by next Wednesday he's going to gain some weight.
Preferably stay in the let down mode. The reason for this is because you want your milk ducts to think that it’s baby starting a new session. By starting these “new sessions” it works to produce more milk by increasing the demand. However, it will not hurt anything by being in the massage/expression mode.
Yes it is still possible to increase your milk supply. Follow a milk producing foods diet, drink plenty of water AND include Power Pump sessions for success. Please reach out if you have anymore questions. I hope this helps and thanks for watching ❤️❤️❤️

The ideal time to truly increase your milk production is within the first 3 months of birth. However, You can with strict dedication. Increase your water intake, take in A LOT of milk producing foods, pump AND nurse often and on a schedule, while incorporating a Power Pump session at least daily for the maximum allowable time. I have a Milk Producing Foods Checklist available that gives food options that are ideal for increasing milk supply. You can also find my $1.00 Pump Schedule Guide to stay on track of your pump/nursing sessions. These resources are available at www.themommanurseshop.com Hope this helps ❤️❤️❤️.
This video is very helpful thank you so much! I do have a question ! So if I power pump I only have do do it for 7 days or up to three weeks and completely stop power pumping? And just do regular pumping ?
No problem. Yes, that is correct. By doing it for 7 days (max 3weeks) it trains the body and milk receptors to produce more milk, and should continue to produce even if you stop power pumping after you've seen an increase. After that pump on your regular schedule. If you do notice a decrease at any time again in the future you can begin your 7day count again and power pump again.
The examples noted in this video are for both breast simultaneously. However, if you have a single pump I discuss 2 different methods of Power Pumping using a single pump in my Power Pump eBook available at www.themommanurseshop.com
@@MommaNurse Well done! Would power pumping then help increase my milk supply even though I don't breastfeed my baby? And any tips for weaning baby off the bottle, I am desperately trying to put her back on the breast but she refuses. Any advice would be welcomed. Thanks.
Yes power pumping will still help. You can always build up your milk stash for later as well. It is very hard to go from bottle feeding back to breast. It has to do with the ease the baby gets from the nipple on a bottle because it's typically wider so they get their milk easier. I would recommend noting when baby is the most hungry during the day...typically first morning feed or at bedtime, try to use those times to incorporate a nursing feed (breastfeed session) slowly until baby is use to it.
@@MommaNurse Thank you for that. I would love to have breastfeeding sessions with my daughter, however as she is clever and realised that the bottle flows very fast, she is now refusing all attempts to breast feed. What can I do in this case?
Hmm keeps trying and be patient with her. Follow the steps in my message above and see if that helps. If not then maybe consult a lactation specialist. If you are on Instagram I would recommend following/talking to rue_theboobboss she’s awesome!
Thank you for sharing, this video is so informative. After power pumping do i need to pump again like regular 20 minutes pump? or that’s it for the day?
No problem, I’m glad you enjoyed it. That’s not it for the day but, don’t continue pumping RIGHT away a power pump session. Continue on your every 2-3 hour pump schedule after power pumping.
Sometimes it just depends on the pump, as they will switch automatically. Typically I start with the massage mode and then once I start getting milk I switch to express. If you notice a decrease in milk production prior to your “end time” you can go back to massage mode for a few mins and then back to express mode. During Power Pumping each “session” starts for me on massage and then I switch to express and leave it there. Hope this helps ❤️
@@MommaNurse hi mam..Pls I normally pump in the morning say around 7am after feeding my baby..I just pump out the milk left in my breasts...then can I include this power pumping after wards? That is pump normally in the morning like I do and then still have a power pump session afterwards. Or is a must one must power pump first before pumping on shorter time
@@Ifys_Space yes, you can do your short session after baby nurses. Then about 45 mins to an hour later you can have your power pump session. Or you can make that first session into your power pump session, whichever works best for you.
You should continue, this alerts your milk receptors that they need to produce more milk. If you continue pumping, milk will eventually start producing.

Hello I am re-lactated . It’s been 4 months without breastfeeding my baby was a premi and because she was so tiny she never latch . I stared 4 days ago and I been pumping and nothing comes out I did power pump for 3 days . Do you think I’m dry ? 😔
Hi, definitely Keep going. Re-lactating takes quite a while but, can be very rewarding if you follow through. Keep up with your dietary intake and continue to power pump as well.
Yes, about 10-15 mins every 2-3 hours. You can start out doing it every 2 hours to increase the production. Once you see the increase you can pump every 3 hours.
My baby is 3 months. I have slacked off with pumping and would like to pick it back up. I am still producing milk but not much at all. Like less than an ounce. Do I still have hope?
YES! And now is the best time to get back on track. Create a Pump/ Nurse Schedule and stick to it, I have already created one available for just $1 at www.themommanurseshop.com. Once you have created your schedule then you can start incorporating a Power Pump Session to help increase your supply. You will also see a Power Pump eBook available that details different techniques, answers frequently asked questions, and more. I hope this helps ❤️❤️❤️
Hi my baby is 7 weeks old From day 1 I have started mixed feeding ( breastfeed + formula ) due to very less milk supply as suggested by the doctor But I literally want to stop formula feed completely and wanted to breastfeed my baby fully So evrytime I pump I can see only 30 ml of milk not more than tat Can u suggest me with some solution please?
Something I always recommend is never starting formula feeding, once you do it's hard to switch. Your body will naturally adjust to the babies needs based on the amount of times you nurse or pump. I would suggest power pumping, do this for at least 1-2 weeks and see if there is any improvement. Increase your water intake, eats lots of foods that increase your milk production. Check out my video list I have two videos one on ways to increase your milk supply and another about an overnight snack that increases your milk supply that's very yummy 😋. Hope this helps
@@MommaNurse thank u so much Is it possible for me to stop formula and switch to breastfeed complelety at 6 weeks bcoz my baby keeps crying for formula milk everytime I breastfeed
@@sayisoundariya4796 if baby is still gaining weight while only taking the breast milk then you can continue. If you notice that baby is not gaining weight then you would want to include the formula milk. Also talk to your doctor with any concerns
My baby is 11 months and I had a hospital visit made me anxious and want to build my freezer supply again. I’m very full in the morning but I don’t know if I should pump and take that milk since my baby fully drains them in that first feed. I don’t wanna steal her milk. But I’m not seeming to get a let down with the pump. Definitely feeling anxious before pumping. Feeling stressed and overwhelmed. Even though I exclusively BF I don’t need this milk but in case of emergency I do. 😩
I would recommend doing either an early morning power pump session or maybe an early afternoon session. With consistency and frequency you will hopefully start to see milk let down. Don't be discouraged with the first couple sessions, it started out slow but then will pick up in let down.
Also try breast massages and or warm compresses before and during your pump session. Increase your water intake and your calories (especially right before that pump session). Having a milk stash is an awesome thing, it helps out in those times when you aren't available and even when you wean off the breast you still have breast milk to feed baby for long after. Check out my How to Build a Milk Stash video for more tips on building your stash.
I have a question for you.....so......my little daughter is now 11 months old, and when we reached 4.5 months old, I was given some help by a lactation consultant as my baby wasn’t gaining enough weight. She said that for 24-48 hours I needed to pump just 5-6 minutes on each side, 7-8 X in a 24 hour period, including at least one session between 1-4am, as that’s when our milk-making hormones are the highest! So I did it and it really helped. However, the boost doesn’t ever last long, and so I end up often having to do this - which in real terms means pumping every 3 hours or so, and - now my baby girl sleeps better at night (generally speaking 😬😂) - I have to set an alarm to get up and go down in the middle of the night, which usually then wakes her up, only I pumped my initial first flow of milk out, and so she gets frustrated because she’s not getting much...... It’s just feeling really stressful. I’ll happily keep on doing it, because I love my baby girl and I want her to have enough milk to drink! But my question is this - do you think that doing this power pumping thing might be a better option for me? It certainly sounds more manageable and less stressful, so if it works I’ll be over the moon!! What do you think? 💖 Thanks SO MUCH for all your videos - I love them!!! So so encouraging.....and you are beautiful btw 🥰🙏🏻🙏🏿💖💖
So I definitely think power pumping is a good option for you. Can't say 100% that it will work for you, as everyone's body is different, but worth a shot. Generally speaking we should keep pumping every 3-4 hours in order to keep our milk supply. When you wake up to your alarm at night to pump maybe try feeding your daughter first (wake her if needed) so she's happy and back to sleep, then go down for your pump session. And that might decrease the frustration you both are feeling at that time. Hope this helps! Let me know how it goes, feel free to ask any follow-up questions. And thank you for all the kind words ❤️
Hello. Yes, I do. Especially during the first few days because you may start out with just a small amount so it’s best to combine it for freezing purposes. Once you start getting a lot of milk out if you want to store the first batch in the fridge until completion that’s fine.
This definitely helps with relactation. If relactation is the goal you can try Power Pumping twice a day if needed or extend the amount of days you are Power Pumping. Anytime I noticed a dip in my milk production I would Power Pump and see results within the first 3 days. Hope this helps ❤️
My baby is 8 weeks old and he is unable to suck milk properly due to large nipple size, that's when I decided to pump out milk and Bottlefeed him. Now the problem is, I pump around 4-5 times a day and except for first two times of the day, max milk pumped is 2oz which is not sufficient for my baby. I heard "a formula fed baby is better than a hungry baby" And introduced him to formula as well(I feed him FM twice- thrice a day). I read the concept of power pumping and tried to power pump. Challenges faced: After 3-4 mins of first pumping session, milk gets over and how hard I presess the breasts, milk does not come out. I then wait for 10mins before next pumping session, then too I get little quantity and milk does not show. What do I do in this case? Ps: I have tried everything possible in terms of food. Increased water intake I eat oatmeal twice a day Include 12-15 almonds Eat papaya And the list goes on. I desperately want to EBF my child but feel helpless
You will not see results in just the first session of power pumping. You will need to do this for at least 3 days (preferably 7) to see an increase in supply. The first couple times will only have a small amount of milk, but once you are consistent with it you will see an increase in your milk supply.
So sorry to hear this. Try to use warm compresses, increase your water intake, eat Milk producing foods and incorporate Power Pump sessions. You can find my Milk Producing Foods Checklist AND my Power Pump eBook available at www.themommanurseshop.com Hope this helps ❤️❤️❤️

Did it work for you?
I had to come back to comment because I’m so surprised how well this method works!
My production went down again after my second mastitis.
I started yesterday morning with 1 power pump session and production was 185ml. I pumped 3 other times that day for 20 minutes as I usually do.
This morning I power pumped again and production was 290ml. Still have to see how it goes the rest of the day. But I’m already extremely impressed about this difference.
My low production gave me so much anxiety. Thank you so much for sharing!
This is so awesome to hear 🥲❤️❤️❤️. So happy for you and baby.

How did it go?
@@anneshirley95 I power pumped for over a week and didn't see any improvements so I am trying some supplements. I also had to just be ok with the fact that supplementing with formula is OK. My baby is fed and gaining weight. That is what I need to focus on.
@@alinatarkhanian I’m stressing right now because my baby was in the nicu for 23 days, and I was pumping while she was there, and once she was able to eat we gave it to her.

I am the same way
How are things now?
Please tell us the results
Do you pump for each and every single bottle that the baby gets ? You need to do that PLUS pumping extra on top that , to increase the supply.

Been exclusively breastfeeding my baby for 5 months. She recently started solids and my supply has dropped in what seems like overnight.
Thanks!

Thank you for this video. I have always breastfed but I had a micro-preemie born at 25+2 eleven days ago.
Yes, I definitely agree! Thanks for adding ❤️❤️❤️

I power pump midday or afternoon because that's when my baby naps the longest. You just need a time frame when you will have no interruptions.
What setting would you use for a new momma with a spectra pump for power pumping please
Hi.. I Just watch ur video.. This is truly amazing. I want to know which pump is best either manual or electric?
Thanks a lot
No problem
Quick question: Can I PowerPump while pumping every 2-3 hours/after nursing my baby?
Yes you definitely can! Continue your normal pumping schedule and just chose one of those pumping sessions to do your Power Pump Session. Whenever you know you have a hour block of time without interruptions.
Hi I’m a nicu mom, I have twins in the nicu. I always try but I’m too stressed. I want to be committed because my babies are coming home soon. They are now 3 months and 15 days. I just get 3 ml when I pump, it is possible to increase my milk supply?
I really need help !!
@@ashlygarciazea3447 yes keep pumping. Now is the best time to build up that milk stash. Set a timer or alarm on your phone to remind you to pump. Each time you pump reset another 3 hour alarm. Stick to a milk producing foods diet and drink plenty of water. Power pump once a day. These steps will help build/ maintain your milk supply.
I hope this helps and thanks for watching. ❤️❤️❤️

Do you pump after a certain week after baby is born so your milk came in already or do you think it’s better to pump right after baby is born to help milk supply ?
Suggestion on pumping outside power pumping? Do you power pump then pump throughout the day? If so how many pumps throughout and duration?
Yes, I still pump regularly throughout the day when I'm power pumping. I (regular) pump 45 mins either before or after baby nurses, so typically around 8, 11, 2, 5 and I pump for 15 mins sessions. For my 2pm session I just turn that into my power pump session because my baby naps for a longer period at this time. Hope this makes sense 😊
@@MommaNurse So you basically pump 4 times in a day..
One power pump session and 3 regular pump sessions?
@@Ifys_Space that is correct.
@@MommaNurse if you pump 45 minutes before your baby nurses, isn't the breast empty when it's time for baby to nurse? Or do you then bottle feed?
Very good question. Your breast supply milk on demand. So if you pump before your baby nurses then your body will think that your pumping session is the baby. Then When it’s time for your baby to nurse, your body will naturally think baby is hungry again, resulting in your body producing more milk to supply your baby. The more you pump or nurse tells your body to produce more milk. I don’t bottle feed my babies, until I go back to work then dad will bottle feed, I avoid it if possible.
Thanks for getting straight to the point. Love the video.
No problem. Thanks for watching

I would recommend working on that ASAP (here’s my video on how I built mine How to build a milk stash for back to work| 6 tips | 238 bags | Build your milk stash | 2020

Power Pumping will definitely help you build this stash and increase your overall milk production. Don’t give up, keep nursing your baby, drinking water and pumping every chance you get to build your stash. My babies did not like formula either so I can understand. I hope this helps, please reach out if you have any other questions ❤️
Thank you so much, I can already see an improvement with one day. I increased my water intake, took some prenatal vitamins and added oats for breakfast. In 2 power pump session I managed 500ml

I have a 7 weeks baby.. I am brest feeding him daily as normal.. one day I tried to pump by using medela pump..
Thank you for this video! You're so beautiful btw!
No problem and thank you so much ❤️.

I only get milk for 5 min.
If I do power pump o don't see any milk coming out. Should I continue to power pump on empty breast to increase milk supply??
@@shaliniyashu4926 yes! The purpose of power pumping is to stimulate your breasts to think baby needs more milk which will motivate your milk ducts to produce more milk. It’s a process. Keep going (following the steps/duration mentioned in the video) and you will start to see increased milk production.

Omg thank you so much my friend!!! I was pumping while watching your video. It's very informative and helpful!! I'm gonna power pump right now 💪 and tomorrow in the morning. I am actually very sad because my baby isn't gaining too much:( I was very upset about myself not producing enough for him. But as I just pumped, I have 4 Oz from both breasts :( I'm so stressed about it. His pediatrician suggested me to pump and add some formula into breast milk. I hope my baby gains weight soon !
So glad you enjoyed it. Keep power pumping with consistency and it will help. Praying for you and your baby. Don’t stress about it, because stress will also decrease your supply. Just focus on your water and calorie intake never skip a meal lol. Good luck
Girlie u can always add babys powdered calories which ever would work best. Speak to your dietician and lactation consultant :)

@@kaylakidd9682 Thank you so much!! My lactation told me to try pump to get the higher fat milk and give him that after 3 to 4 times of the feed for 1 week and then we gonna check his weight again. Could you give us a realistic breastfeeding and pumping schedule?
I actually have one available on my website www.themommanurseshop.com
Check it out❤️❤️❤️
When power pumping do you stay in the let down mode each time you pump or do you shift between let down/massage and expression mode?
Preferably stay in the let down mode. The reason for this is because you want your milk ducts to think that it’s baby starting a new session. By starting these “new sessions” it works to produce more milk by increasing the demand. However, it will not hurt anything by being in the massage/expression mode.
Hi, thank you so much for the video..love from India😘
Thanks for watching all the way from India ❤️
My current milk supply is 30ml per day my baby is three months old is possible for me to increase my milk supply at three months please help me mam

Can women still increase milk if baby is 8mons? Ive just always wanted more
The ideal time to truly increase your milk production is within the first 3 months of birth.
These resources are available at www.themommanurseshop.com
Hope this helps ❤️❤️❤️.
Question once you power pump how long do you wait until you pump again with regular schedule?
You would follow your regular schedule and pump every 2-3 hrs after your Power Pump session. It is fine if baby nurses prior to that 2-3 hour window.
@@MommaNurse thank you very much
Your a life saver!
Glad i was able to help. Please let me know if you have any questions
Hello .thankyou for the sharing .can i know .the duration is for one side or both breast to pumping?
The examples noted in this video are for both breast simultaneously. However, if you have a single pump I discuss 2 different methods of Power Pumping using a single pump in my Power Pump eBook available at www.themommanurseshop.com
Can we pump with hand?
Thank you for your very clear video and encouraging words. Did you pump in combination with breastfeeding your baby?
Glad it was of help. Yes, I breastfed all 4 of my babies while pumping.
My question is when we start pumping for 20 mins do i hv to pump on both breast or one at a time.
If you have a double pump then pump both breasts at the same time.
@tejaswinichawla4962 I’m sorry I do not understand.
How often do you switch back between massage and express? What about during power pump sessions?
Sometimes it just depends on the pump, as they will switch automatically. Typically I start with the massage mode and then once I start getting milk I switch to express. If you notice a decrease in milk production prior to your “end time” you can go back to massage mode for a few mins and then back to express mode.
During Power Pumping each “session” starts for me on massage and then I switch to express and leave it there.
Hope this helps ❤️
Thank you for this video. Very clear and helpful!
No problem, glad you enjoyed it.
Thanks for the video. I am wondering should I continue pumping with the time setting if no more milk comes out?
You should continue, this alerts your milk receptors that they need to produce more milk. If you continue pumping, milk will eventually start producing.

Hello I am re-lactated . It’s been 4 months without breastfeeding my baby was a premi and because she was so tiny she never latch . I stared 4 days ago and I been pumping and nothing comes out I did power pump for 3 days . Do you think I’m dry ? 😔
Hi, definitely Keep going. Re-lactating takes quite a while but, can be very rewarding if you follow through. Keep up with your dietary intake and continue to power pump as well.
Love your video wanna ask a question for you my baby does not latch to breast can only pumping may increase milk.supply
Yes, you just need to be consistent and pump frequently.
When You Cut Down To Pumping For A Shorter Time More Frequently, Was It like for 15mins every 2hrs or so ?
Yes, about 10-15 mins every 2-3 hours. You can start out doing it every 2 hours to increase the production. Once you see the increase you can pump every 3 hours.
This helped so much.
I'm so pleased to hear that. Thanks for watching
Hi my baby is 7 weeks old
From day 1 I have started mixed feeding ( breastfeed + formula ) due to very less milk supply as suggested by the doctor
But I literally want to stop formula feed completely and wanted to breastfeed my baby fully
So evrytime I pump I can see only 30 ml of milk not more than tat
Can u suggest me with some solution please?
I am suffering from same pblm now..did u notice any increase in supply after that?i would like to know
My baby is 11 months and I had a hospital visit made me anxious and want to build my freezer supply again.
What's your must have for your pumping space?
Mine is a good snack, I just love to eat! 😋❤️
I need a boat-load if water and a good show to watch! Then I’m good to go 🥰🙌🏻
I have a question for you.....so......my little daughter is now 11 months old, and when we reached 4.5 months old, I was given some help by a lactation consultant as my baby wasn’t gaining enough weight.
Thanks SO MUCH for all your videos - I love them!!!
A good show is always good too! I typically will watch a short RUclips video only because I'm not really a TV watcher lol.
Momma Nurse RUclips works too!! I’m enjoying Desperate Housewives at the moment though, and Gilmore Girls is always a favourite 🥰
Hi. Do you use the same set up with the milk already in the bottle for the next 2 other 10mins?
Hello. Yes, I do. Especially during the first few days because you may start out with just a small amount so it’s best to combine it for freezing purposes. Once you start getting a lot of milk out if you want to store the first batch in the fridge until completion that’s fine.
Is this helps to relactation?
Challenges faced:
After 3-4 mins of first pumping session, milk gets over and how hard I presess the breasts, milk does not come out.
I then wait for 10mins before next pumping session, then too I get little quantity and milk does not show.
What do I do in this case?
Ps: I have tried everything possible in terms of food.
Increased water intake
I eat oatmeal twice a day
Include 12-15 almonds
Eat papaya
And the list goes on.
Your milk supply increased?
Yes, it did.
I am facing same problem. I don't know what to do...
So sorry to hear this. Try to use warm compresses, increase your water intake, eat Milk producing foods and incorporate Power Pump sessions.
