riding around in circles 'notching' with the pedals is where its at, biggie can now do a decent trackstand just from practicing while i made the video!
Thanks for the most important tip: Smaller and smaller circles with the strongest leg leading. PLUS - somewhere in the comments - YOU HAVE TO USE THE BRAKE - as seen in the videos - if you are on the level " VeloVegan 1 year ago haha nice spotting, you can use your front brake at the end of your 'roll' point to stop you rolling forward/backwards too far, i use it a little more often when on the flat since you dont have a hill to play off, it. its a little hard to explain but try using it and see how it helps!"
Good tips! Also, whats the size of your jersey? I`m looking to get one and trying to figure out the right size, im like 185cm, i think similar to you. Cheers!
i have an asphalt basket ball court near me to practice but it is flat can i learn on that i noticed in other comments its says use brakes. Do you recommend using clip or just sneakers to start ?
S P hey you have to use your body to create the momentum, you can also use your front brake on the forward rock then push against it to create momentum and rock backwards.

im a small jersey! my arms are pretty skinny though im 189cm and 75kg, if you have big arms or shoulders get a medium. Length is not a factor!
Thanks!
Awesome video! I like it
Nice vid. Good to have the rural bushfire guys there just in case eh. :P

Thanks for the tutorial! Btw is that the giro savant helmet?
I wasn't able to do long track stands on road bike. You always need slight uphill. Much easier and more fun to do it on a fixed gear bike.
Thanks for the tips bro !
Great tips, thanks!
cheers man!
Thanks for the tip !
I'm gone begin this tomorrow morning
can you trackstand now
nice tutorial! 👍🏻
thankyou!
Good explanation...Thank You
How long did it took you to master this?
I think the best video ever of a track stand is made by durian Rider 6 years ago
great tip it really worked and i can do it 30+seconda longer but.... my bike isbdoing free wheels not like how ur bike do
How do I do it on the levelled surface on road bike?

what if you're subconsciously too scared to get slow enough with your foot clipped? can having one foot uncapped work?
you can try with trainers first so you're not clipped in! or yea just have your foot half unclipped so you can get it out easy.
thanks mate, great tips, i'll practice on my days off..once i master it then I'll pass it to my 11 years old daughter 😉
awesome!! hope it goes well :D
I can do trackstand on a small gradient, but how to do it on flat?
use your weight to move the bike underneath you instead of the slope! takes a bit of practice
nice skills i am afraid only of longevity of my wheels , its too light so i can dmg them .....
i think its ok! no like a wheelie haha
i noticed you never mention the brakes. i can see you are operating your right hand. Tell us more!

Thanks a lot. I will try, again. Thanks for sharing!

A real confidence builder when the instructor has a heavily bandaged leg.....lol, nice vid tho
haha thanks, i actually had the crash on camera as well ruclips.net/video/1L6aCJ_D4Yo/видео.html
As demonstrated by your bruised knees and arms, learning to trackstand is a painful task 😏
