This definitely on my bucket list. My husband and I were supposed to do this ride to celebrate our 1 year wedding anniversary. Sadly, he passed away 7/3/19 (our 11th month anniversary). You inspire me to ride by myself long distances. I'm probably old enough to be your mom (53) but I hope to do half of what you have done before I die or stop riding. Thank you❤️
The road will be there when you're ready for it! :) Thanks for watching, Mary! THat'll be a great trip to remember him by when you're ready to go for it!
Really enjoyed this series. Subscribed because of it. The few thumbs down she got reminds me that I think no thumbs down should be allowed without a comment as to why. Seems like there's just too many that for whatever reason, feel compelled to throw shade.
Last summer I rode the Unaweep Byway from Grand Junction to Ouray. Then rode the Million Dollar Highway down to Durango. It was easily the best day of riding I’ve ever had. The next time I have a trip that goes out that way I plan to retrace this rout.
It's good to see a young lady with a sense of adventure. Seems most don't want to travel on a scooter. I know mine don't like it so I just have to go by myself. Oh well her loss.
Beartooth Highway/Pass is my favorite ride in the U.S.A. The Rockies and Glaciers in the Canadian Rockies are spectacular. I have ridden Beartooth with six to eight foot snow banks. Love it! From Virginia Beach I have ridden to forty-nine of the fifty states (missing Hawaii) and have ridden to all the provinces in Canada except Newfoundland. I really enjoy your videos and hope to cross paths some day. I am sixty-eight and my riding partner is seventy-five. He rides an Ultra and I am on a Street Glide Special.

I had never been further west than Ill before that, so it was a life changer. Funniest part of the entire 22 days. Did that exact ride a couple years ago in the opposite direction, however, Yellowstone was SOOOOO crowded it was stop and go all the way through the park.

How did you know the bike was overheating? What does the bike behave like? (Never ridden in that kind of heat before) What was the bubbling fluid? Great video, thanks!
It slowly started dying while riding it and I knew it wasn’t an electrical issue, so the next two steps were determining if it was bad gas or overheating, and so all the signs pointed to overheating with it being 105+ out lol. The liquid is just ice water that boiled instantly when I splashed it all over the motor. Your motor shouldn’t be so hot that it instantly can boil ice water lol! And, thanks for watching! 😎🤙

Absolutely Amazing once again!! Not sure I could hang, but would love to ride with you out west... or atleast just ride out there. So freakin cool. I'll be in Moab toward the end of June. I'm looking into renting a bike when I go.
Do you live out this direction? Drink allll the water while in Moab! It'll be hot hot hot in June!
@@ridetofood no, just taking a vacation with my brother and his family. So it will be my first trip out there. Looking forwad it. Thanks for the water tip. I hear it is pretty hot and dry out there.
@@ridetofood I live in Tampa, FL by the way. I just realized I didn't mention that earlier.
What a ride!!!
There's only one word to describe these 3 videos you made:
BEAUTIFUL !!!

Another amazing adventure! Thanks for sharing! Great content as usual. Love your work. 👍👍 I'm envious lol. I wish I could take time off from work and do more road trips like these.
Thanks for watching! Enjoy the ride when you can 🙌
Hey girl, just found your channel. Great stuff. We’ve been to a lot of those places. Especially bear toon pass on our way back from Sturgis. Shiney side up.
Thanks for watching! :)
Independence Pass was awesome! I was fortunate to ride it and the Million Dollar Hwy. Poudre Canyon Rd is a great ride near Fort Collins. Love the content! Keep up the great work. Take care✌️
Those are allllll great rides!
looks like an awesome adventure. i need to use my vacation days this year and go get lost.
Sounds like a great plan!! 😊
I love all of this💚💚

Her two wheels sent me..👍
yay! thank you :)
Wow, this looked like such a beautiful ride! Too bad the fires sent you home early.
Totally! Hopefully, the wildfires aren't as gnarly this season as they were last year.
How Bizarre. I was watching and had to pause the video on your Grand Junction stop. The FXR with the rad sunburst paint job in your video is currently for sale on marketplace and is saved in my favorites. What an awesome bike! Live in Trinidad and just found your channel this morning. Hope to bump into you on the road sometime and great content!
How bizarre how bizarre 🎶🎶 definitely a rad FXR! Dude that owns it is a solid guy as well. He owns the coffee shop in grand junction I stopped at!
Awesome! We’re planning a trip from Denver to sturgis to Yellowstone this summer. Do you have breakdown of this trip? Stops and must see/ must ride roads?
If it made the video, it was worth seeing! :) I'm working on a few blogs for tips on visiting Yellowstone and Wyoming very soon.
@@ridetofood I’ll be standing by for the blog. Thank you. It can get kinda overwhelming trying to squeeze everything into one trip.
Love n the videos. I need to take a long bike trip but I'm not as brave as you and work too much. One of these days
As they say...You only live once! Contrary to popular belief, I work ALOT. I probably work 60-80 hours a week when I am home. It is not a lifestyle for everyone, but it works for me. I always make time to experience life on two wheels when I can! :) Hope you get to do some rad rides sooner than later
@@ridetofood absolutely. I'm going to start doing this. Ride safe girl. Probably make a trip to Kriver then go from there. Keep n up with the content you have.
great video I took my first long distance trip in August ms to bear tooth Stade in Yellowstone.
Very cool!!!
Dope video 🏍💨
thanks giiiirlll!!! See you at Grits?!
That rider hack was dope 👏🏾 and I think I’m going! Lol I didn’t reserve anything yet. I hope I still have time
@@QueenSit I bet you dooo! Hit them up! :) And yeesss. Camelbak's are so helpful lol! Can't believe I rode for ten years without one
QUEEN SIT YOU OR GREAT 👍🏿
LOVE FROM MISSISSIPPI
Great content.. it’s been over a year since my last bike tour.. watching yours and other youtube channel really have saved my sanity.. 😎 keep the good work..
Totally understand! Glad they’ve helped keep you busy and dreaming of the open road! 🙌 thanks for watching 😊
I'm going to need a tour guide one day!
🤓🤓🤓
Good Lord girl don't you know that you can't ride Harleys off road and even tho I am not a mechanic I bet that's why your Dyna overheated.😁
I so enjoy your videos I hope your channel continues to grow and brings you great opportunities in the future.
hahaha...that's definitely not why it overheated but that was funny! thanks for watching, Trae! :)
Any bike is an off-road bike, just depends where ya point it
What?
Yowza! You rode back over Bear Tooth pass, down through Chief Joseph to Cody, then back through Yellowstone to the Tetons in one day just to catch the sunset! Did you ever stop to pee?
Once in Cody! hahahaha
Did that exact ride a couple years ago in the opposite direction, however, Yellowstone was SOOOOO crowded it was stop and go all the way through the park.
It was like that this past year when I went back. The crowds definitely increased since 2020. Ended up spending most of my time outside the park
@@ridetofood yeah, we exited out the west side, had lunch in West Yellowstone then up 191 looking for campsites, all full, so we ended up in a motel in Bozeman. Ready to go back. Bit of a ride from Kansas City though…..
How did you know the bike was overheating? What does the bike behave like? (Never ridden in that kind of heat before)
What was the bubbling fluid? Great video, thanks!
It slowly started dying while riding it and I knew it wasn’t an electrical issue, so the next two steps were determining if it was bad gas or overheating, and so all the signs pointed to overheating with it being 105+ out lol. The liquid is just ice water that boiled instantly when I splashed it all over the motor. Your motor shouldn’t be so hot that it instantly can boil ice water lol! And, thanks for watching! 😎🤙
I want to know about your luggage and camping setup. I just picked up the saddleman tour pack and threw 87 convertible bags on the fxr, but seeing your setup has made me feel like I'm missing something
This blog has everything I pack in it: ridetofood.com/motorcycle-trip-packing-list/
Buttttt I am working on doing a video where I go step by step through everything I pack! It's in the recording queue so to speak. :)
Sah-WEEET!
🤙🤙🤙 Thanks for watching, Max!
