Next please 🙏
Nice
Really good tutorial, easy to understand and gives a very good effect. Thank you.
Please next time interactive smoke simulation
Thank you for the tutorial. Can you please explain what is Normalized Age? I did not understand the meaning of this attribute and why did you make it that way? with map range node. I would be really grateful if you help me ^^. Only getting started with nodes and your videos help a lot thank you
If a particle's max lifetime is 20 frames then its age go from 1-20 during its existence in the scene. What's normalize age does is, it takes that range and convert to 0-1.
When you have a lot of particles with different max lifetime like 20,21,24,30 etc, it's difficult to address them through age. But when you normalize their age to 0-1, you can address them all easily.
For example, if I want to change the particle color from white to red after they reached 50% of their lifetime, I can take normalize age and check whether it is greater than 0.5(50%). This gives me a mask of particles which should be red.
