What fantastic news. I have no doubt it is going to be a long slow road but it is looking good. That morning when you were trying to function on only 90 minutes sleep must have been awful, sometimes that little sleep can make you feel worse. I did laught when Spud decided to give herself a lick and you tried to stop her, that is just the sort of thing that happens with my doggies. Hugs to all of team potato and also to you.

You’re absolutely right, it was worse to sleep. About day 3 of no sleep was when it started making me really ill - dizziness, nausea, the whole shebang!
Hahah had to have a chat with spud off camera on what constitutes family friendly content 😂😂. There really is no chill with these dogs, the worst being when Spud had extreme gas and tooted loudly in front a group of nuns, unfortunately they didn’t believe me when I said it was my dog 😂😂🙈 keeping me humble out here! Hope you’re having a great weekend love, with lots of rest and hopefully no suspicious nuns 😅🤪 xxx

those bloody ticks!!! Is there some kind of medication a dog can be given so they don't succumb to a tick bite. We were out hiking in the woods in winter and actually saw one of those horrid things in the snow!! Wishing you and those lovely dogs all the best! xx

Hello love, how are you? I have cursed these ticks every single day for weeks now! They have medications against it, can you believe! And it still caused this! The neurologist said it’s an absolute miracle she’s survived it. I’m having to hand feed her because her brain can’t quite tell her mouth to chew food so she’s having to relearn everything, it’s painful to watch but the little nom nom puppy sounds she makes when she’s enjoying something is so cute it makes me cry 😂🙈
The neurologist actually said because of climate change, they’ve all evolved and can survive winter temps now and are no longer hibernating. He said they’re like a super breed version and much more resilient and vicious! 😭😭 I have never been so angry at something! It’s made me super paranoid to walk them 😭🙈
      Hope you’re having a wonderful weekend! 😘❤️❤️xxx

Thank you sharing your update. I love the way you love your pugs. I truly 'get it'. I work in brain injury rehabilitation (for people). In Australia we have hydrotherapy and therapy for dogs, is that an option in Switzerland if that's at all medically appropriate?

Thank you so much for the lovely message, you are so kind and so wonderful. I’ll never understand how people see dogs as a thing to have or just a ‘pet’. They’re my everything and we are so lucky to have pups that need such complex medical care because we have the means and time and ability to give them that care. Hopefully that makes sense 😂. What an incredibly rewarding career that must be? Wow! Do you want to branch out to brain rehab in pugs 😂😂. She’s actually doing much better - beginning to chew a little and not sway so much when stood still. Yes absolutely spot on, we have an incredible physiotherapist for the pugs and when she’s well enough and has enough energy I’ll start getting her massages to help with the muscle wastage and some physio rehab sessions to help with the coordination and movement. She hates water but I’m not ruling out hydro just yet! I’m not sure how much lasting brain damage she will have so just taking it day by day and hour by hour for the foreseeable! She managed a quick howl at a dog on the tv yesterday and I cried 😂 she couldn’t understand how she normally gets told no for that and instead I was so happy 😂😂🫣
      Hope you’re having a wonderful weekend! 😘😘❤️❤️xxx

@@SewinginSwitzerland I can just imagine how wonderful it was to see that reaction to the TV. You’ve been through so much with your snuffly pugs. The physio sounds great for slowly regaining strength even the walking may not get back to normal
I have a long haired Cavoodle. In fact her name is Molly. It’s her pic you can see. She is my world & i love her. Keep posting about your ‘potatoes’ 🐾🦘
