Afro ESCs and SunnySky 2204s - ahhh those were the days...not haha. You've been there right from the beginning of the mini quad craze! I remember when I was flying my big Y6 FPV with a DIY brushless gimbal in early 2015 and my friend started flying a QAV250. He said "you should build one too - they're so fun". I thought "Pffft, why would I want something so tiny when I have my mighty hexacopter for FPV cruising!". He let me have a fly of his quad - my first acro FPV flight after having flown my Y6 in stabilise mode for two years. Well I was hooked. That first flight of his quad cost me so much money in mini quad gear, but it's been fun!
Holy crap! You are awesome! What progress, and excellent booger picking too ;0) Im new to drones, but a veteran RC fixed wing pilot, amd ots learning all over again. Thanks for sharing your mad skills!
Great flying! Hopefully I'll get that good eventually if I don't break everything. I just "really" started flying about a month ago. Had quad's on and off but never really did much other than hover, and no real FPV.
It's very inspiring to see the progression. Your throttle management through those top rafters was amazing and that was years ago when gear was not as good as it is now.
Awesome Video man! Great to see the progress, very motivational. Been flying my built 250 for a couple days now, amazed at how hard it is to learn. Can't wait to get to your level.
As a very new noob, I’ve been watching ALOT of FPV lately..your progress is impressive. That triangle support at the framed out building was one of the best shows of control I’ve seen
Very impressive, great progression! I've had my qav 250 for quite some time now. Crashed it about a year ago now and barely got to fly it. Just got it rebuilt and am eager to start building up my fpv experience! Thanks for the inspiration :)
Cool progress. I just got started on FPV about 3 months back. Been Flying Drones for about 2 years but the acro is new to me. I am getting better though!
Great progression my friend! I'm working on something similar for myself. I got into fpv about 2 months ago, due to work I can't fly as much as I want but my first quad was of course the inductrix fpv (still my favorite!) and the day I got it I couldn't fly down the hallway of my home without crashing. I look forward to seeing my progress over the course of the next few months.
Real cool, I was thinking that I will never get FPV down but seeing the small amount of progress I have made in a very short amount of time gives me hope
Awesome video. I got into this hobby about 10 months ago. It is amazing how the brain works with hand-eye coordination. I also found the best rates for me and that made a big difference as well. Keep the vids coming. New sub here.
Great idea showing the hard work and time to get good. I also started with kk2 boards- naza- cc3d- naze ect. It wasn't until i got over the fear of crashing and told myself im going to crash every time i fly just deal with it, that i got better also the tiny whoop craze helped a lot. They have to be the best way to get stick time.
MrAlcoholic3 nice . yeah I love making these vids. I made this last Jan. I just released a new vid as a continued version of this one. kinda like a part 2!. it was really fun to make
Lmao I was laughing at the self level expert joke and then I was rollin when you sat in that toy car at the park for the 4 cell powa!! 🤣🤣 I saw this video a while back but came back to watch it again after I've progressed a ton. Very impressive brotha. Glad you had the state of mind to start recording from the beginning. I wish I would have. Keep it up dude! I'm gonna go look at the rest of your stuff 👍
Thanks for posting this. It helps to "normalize" the learning curve. We all hope to grab a drone and fly like this within a week, but that just isn't realistic. Time behind the sticks is the key. Awesome flying.
FPV flying is exhilarating, but can also be full of anxiety and frustrating as hell. But every day you fly you’ll see yourself get better and better. That noticeable progression is a fantastic part of all of this that doesn’t get mentioned to new pilots as much as it should.

That first flight of his quad cost me so much money in mini quad gear, but it's been fun!
incredible progress for so few months. If out wasn't for the Steele, Charpu, and OMG types, I'd think that could NEVER be topped. Great job!!
Holy crap! You are awesome! What progress, and excellent booger picking too ;0) Im new to drones, but a veteran RC fixed wing pilot, amd ots learning all over again. Thanks for sharing your mad skills!
Really liked this video - neat to see your progress over time. I'm just getting started with FPV. Hope to be as good as you someday.
That triangle support at the framed out building was one of the best shows of control I’ve seen
lol lazers! Your journey is awesome. I have only started mine. Thanks for sharing.
That part flying through the attic of the pole barn being built had to be nerve racking. It did look cool
Nice man thanks for sharing your wonderful journey. I wish I had a GoPro when I was going through it. Good times 👍🍻
Btw nice playlist
Great progression my friend! I'm working on something similar for myself. I got into fpv about 2 months ago, due to work I can't fly as much as I want but my first quad was of course the inductrix fpv (still my favorite!) and the day I got it I couldn't fly down the hallway of my home without crashing. I look forward to seeing my progress over the course of the next few months.
LOL loved the music cut ~@9:03. Funny how you can add humor like that... without saying anything
I just released a new vid as a continued version of this one. kinda like a part 2!. it was really fun to make
Awesome video!!! I'm about to have my day 1 very soon so it's awesome to see your progression! Thank you for sharing!
Wow flying through those rafters was pretty awesome kept me at the edge of the seat :)
oh, and nice flyin too! ;) Just getting started here...harder than it looks by a mile.
Rick Reicker thnx man
this is old. check out some of.my recent vids
Proud of you, my friend. It's amazing how we can pick up on things that seem so weird/foreign, learn it, then dominate with those skills. Keep it up!
Haha, was wondering if a drone could be bounced off a trampoline and here you did it! Nice job!
Lmao I was laughing at the self level expert joke and then I was rollin when you sat in that toy car at the park for the 4 cell powa!! 🤣🤣
I saw this video a while back but came back to watch it again after I've progressed a ton. Very impressive brotha. Glad you had the state of mind to start recording from the beginning. I wish I would have. Keep it up dude! I'm gonna go look at the rest of your stuff 👍
Flying through those trusses....insane! Great video!
I can see the amount of effort put into making this, nice vid man ive enjoyed watching the whole of it, subbed bro, id love to see more!
awesome. thanks buddy
Thanks for posting this. It helps to "normalize" the learning curve. We all hope to grab a drone and fly like this within a week, but that just isn't realistic. Time behind the sticks is the key. Awesome flying.
YSRRacerX my pleasure!. once you hit a certain level the learning take off fast
YSRRacerX yah you should be able to fly pretty good, within a small time period it's just improving, and working those tweaks
FPV flying is exhilarating, but can also be full of anxiety and frustrating as hell. But every day you fly you’ll see yourself get better and better. That noticeable progression is a fantastic part of all of this that doesn’t get mentioned to new pilots as much as it should.
Nice Vid sweet flying! When you were dropping into the trampoline I thought it was going to be a crash lol surprised to see the bounce very cool.
I know it's an old post, but fun to see the progress. Not many show the rough start.May be hope for me yet.
That is a massive improvement. I really liked the part when you were flying through the trusses. Well until you crashed. That is impressive.
Pretty cool to see your progression. That was a lot of fun to watch. Keep at it!
