Have taken your free course and after I return from my vacation will purchase your online course. Wish I had time to take it before trip to London and Norway, but I will do the best I can at this level and will have a good starting point to work with. I have the opposite problem. I tend to start sketching too small.
So now I draw disproportionately long lines to start. And I'm always surprised how in the end they are more accurate.

Perfect timing - I've got my first kit put together and rudimentary skills I've learned from you. .. BUT! I'm struck with shyness to do this in public. What if someone asks me if I'm an artist and wants to actually, gulp, watch me sketch? 😅

Try a watersolouble graphite pencil for your darks

I find it a bit embarrassing to sketch in public, people come over and look at what you’re doing, even worse if it’s locally and I know the people. Is this just that I’m quite new to it and not very confident or do you sometimes feel the same?
