I am here searching for Biswo Poudel after watching Sushant Pradhan's podcast in 2024 April 19. Excited to listen and will share my comments after listening.
Watching this video for the first time in May 2020. Still relevant and full on informative. I am proud of 2 young nepali scholars. Nepal is gonna change only when us the younger generation get smarter.

Grand salute to both of you....really knowledgeable to revive the economic history of Nepal...glad to know we were the superior one in 17th century...the main problem was our leadership who did nothing much that push us to the backward.

If we do genetic study of a particular ruler group then we can find the answer for insincerity of our rulers. We always limit ourselves to modern history of Nepal when it comes to understand Nepalese history of Nepal. Thus we always have incomplete pictures of Nepal and its people.

I think this is not adequate historical economic analysis, scholars are trying to justify our previous economy from the very narrow perspectives. You know how Nepal's Previous economy was doomed by the so-called European Economy Industrialization. If you look at a history of Bandipur textile economy, it was the fact that once upon a history Nepal textile industry was highly expanded and widened to European city. Just before 1970 Nepal was one of the five rice exporter country among the world. How our economic rates was higher than China and Japan, ? Scholars are repeatedly saying the so-called famous books and quotes lines but they did not tried to argue single lines of King Prithivi Naryaan Saha " Dui Dunga bichko tarul" "Dakchin Ko Badsaha NIkai chaur Chhan..." that is the great lessons still to us.
