Great vid ! Also there is a lanyard ring hidden under the saw on the wave plus, just thought you should know :) . Also the steel on the wave plus is 420HC stainless steel

Wave plus has a pocket clip however you need to buy it separately from leather men
I've had the Charge AL, for a good few years, and I've carried it maybe half a dozen times,, it's a fantastic tool, but big and heavy, 😭😩,,
I've had the Skeletool CX for a few weeks now, and I carry it every day,, 👍👍👍,,,
The moral of the story is,, you can have the very best multi tool in the world, which the Charge AL, undoubtedly is,,
But it's of little use, if it's at home in a drawer, 🤣🤣
sweet video. The Wave Plus is considered as "standard" in the camera tech world. But I've always find them too heavy and bulky. I really only need screwdriver/plier/knife. Looking at the SOG powerpint to significantly reduce my footprint.
I got a powerpint...And its kinda great and terrible on the same time :P Scissors and the file was completely useless on mine.
scissors just terrible overall i think. The file had a terrible cut and quality control said fuck it!
And i wish the knife had a big more heft. And half the tools seems a bit useless to me.
what is amazing is the bit driver. the pliers are nice its nice that it locks for such a small package.
I wish they would give me a scalpel instead of the useless scissor...might try to mod that :P
and i wish it had a saw instead of the seraded blade.
Kinda wannt the skeletool for the bigger blade >.< But bit driver looks kinda crappy And i dont know why people keep wasting space on bottle openers.
@@danis8455 interesting. I actually end up getting the skeletool. Ability to add the scalpel mod is nice. I don't care about the bottle opener either, but I do find having the carabiner loop very hand to just hook it to my pants/backpack/jacket (I'm not a sheath person)
@@KevinLin145 not really an ability with the scalpel :P saw someone do it online and i wanted a piece of that! So bought a scalpel and grinded it down and drilled a hole in it.
(had to buy 2 since i messed up the first )
and honestly i dont care for the bottle opener, can opener, the package oper, the ovl...the screw drivers are okey.....But 1 double ended bit, would be a better deal than all thouse.
And i do quite like the carabiner.
but SOG has a small laniard and i think i like that better. And same i just carry it in a pocket or on a key chain.
So i can see the appeal to the carabiner, just think its to big and feels a bit like wasted space to me.
@@danis8455bottle opener/carabiner on the Leatherman skeletool isn't a waste of space, the most important purpose of it is a cover for the screwdriver bit. But because it's a multitool they were needed to add some functionality to this. It becomes very obvious in comparison with freestyle which doesn't have bit driver and carabiner
You can get a pocket clip for the Wave+
Wave+ 'bottle opener' is the same as the can opener... and it fuckin sucks for opening bottles. It tends to mangle the bottle cap like it's opening a can strangely enough ;)

Picking just one? bud I have both too hahah. I EDC my wave+ most days, and my skeletool lives in my housecoat edc with my smaller flashlight, etc. I used to edc the skeletool all the the time until I realized I really needed scissors a lot more and the extra utility of the wave was beneficial. I definitely use my skeletool a lot though even still.
