  • You might have radiotherapy for a tumour that started in the brain or for
    cancer cells that have spread to the brain from another part of the body.
    Brain radiotherapy side effects tend to come on gradually as you progress through your treatment and for a few weeks afterwards. Side effects can include severe tiredness, feeling or being sick, hair loss and your symptoms worsening.
    Radiotherapy affects people in different ways, so it's difficult to predict exactly what side effects you will have and how bad they might be. Some people only have mild side effects but for others the side effects can be more severe.
    Everyone reacts differently to radiotherapy, so how you feel varies from person to person.
