I just want to say, I love how brutal the clone wars can be sometimes. 0:36 Good on that clone for killing the remaining battle droids, jumping out of the platform, and running away from the guy who just killed the remaining members of your unit.
For everyone who says Savage Opress is slow...this axe-wielding juggernaut was faster than a Jedi Master with a lightsaber. He dodged each saber strike and dodged each kick to his face.
Okay can someone explain why it's okay if Savage is stupidly powerful with very minimal training to the point where he killed 3 Jedi (2 masters and didn't even use a LIGHTSABER against a MASTER and padawan), overpowered DOOKU, Ventress, FUCKING CHOSEN ONE ANAKIN and OBIWAN in a single episode. Yet when Rey "beats" an injured Kylo Ren and other ridiculous feats with minimal training she's a Mary Sue? I genuinely don't understand how it's fair to hate on rey but not Savage. To me it's bullshit that he somehow beat two masters with ease
@@apomtaylor8054 Savage Opress has trained in the Force his entire life. All of the Nightbrothers channel the Dark Side to augment their physical attributes, reflexes, and precognition. If you watch the episode “Monster” (3x13), Savage Opress’ eyes clearly flash yellow multiple times during his contests with Ventress. Not to mention he cracks stone with his fists - that is not mere physical strength. Then, Savage Opress receives several weeks, if not months, worth of daily training from Count Dooku. And even then, Savage uses the Force - a power he has used all his life - like a blunt instrument. Rey on the other hand *had no idea* what the Force was. A day after she’s told, she overpowers Kylo Ren in an advanced telepathy contest, pulls of a gestureless mind-trick, and then goes on to defeat Luke Skywalker’s prize student in lightsaber combat. And before you say “but Rey trained with a staff” - she self trained and overpowered random thugs. Savage Opress was the champion warrior of the Nightbrothers, a clan who Dave Filoni described as “the next level down” from *Jedi and Sith* in terms of combat (TCW Season 3 commentary). But see, Rey’s _Force Awakens_ performance against Kylo Ren is forgivable. It’s _The Last Jedi,_ a movie which portrays her as a superior combatant and physically more durable than Kylo Ren, that cements her place as MaRey Sue.
@@theopportuneson699 okay so the jedi are pathetic for also training their entire life yet still losing to a guy who didn't even have a lightsaber with ease. @@apomtaylor8054 Remember in _The Phantom Menace_ when young Anakin noticed Qui-Gon’s lightsaber? How Anakin insisted Qui-Gon must be a Jedi, and how Qui-Gon coyly answered that he may have stolen it from a Jedi he defeated in battle? How Anakin responded that was impossible, and Qui-Gon said he wished? We saw in the movies alone that Jedi can very well lose to warriors who spent their entire lives training for combat. Yes the Jedi have precognition and preternatural reflexes, but that didn’t stop Jango Fett from easily gunning down Jedi *Council* Master Coleman Trebor. By the way, is Obi-Wan pathetic for struggling against Jango Fett in _Attack of the Clones?_ Better yet, are Anakin and Obi-Wan pathetic for having to work to dispatch those two Magnaguards they met on Grievous’ bridge in _Revenge of the Sith?_ Because preternatural reflexes, agility, strength, durability, and combat programming is all those droids have. The same attributes that Savage Opress had, except that the programming is replaced by lifetime of training.

Love the pace of this fight. Battle's waging no longer or shorter than any other normal Clone vs. Droid combat- Savage arrives and everything is dead silent.
Savage has a melee weapon and is seen oneshotting both droids and clones Clones are highly trained infantry who can engage mid to long range quite easely Clones rush in for whatever reason. i think the Kaminoans have programmed some kinda killswitch in the clone brains where anyone with a melee weapon compels them to run into melee range. we've seen the same with Pong Krell and some Jedi during Order 66
Many people say the Clone Commander was being dumb when he ran up and got killed, but when you actually look, he was getting closer to take a more accurate shot. They didn't know Oppress was so powerful, so the commander must have thought that the three clones infront of him would distract Savage, allowing him to make an accurate shot. What he didn't expect was for Savage to combo-kill both troopers in half a second and instantly be infront of him.
Exactly, people here are really trying to play smart saying sumb shit. I mean, this scene was not perfect, but what the Commander thought in that momento have sense, seeing the context and how quick you need to think a solution.
@@sorjonen8358 a whole squadron of clones with mid range rifles against a guy with a spear that has to be at close range with no helmet protection. If you are a clone properly bred for war the simple solution is shoot him in the head which unless your aim is that garbage doesn't require you getting right in front of him and crouching so he can slap you all to where the wild things are. The only reason savage survived this fight was for the plot, because realistically he would've caught a laser through the brain almost instantly.
@@theallmightyz4594 I love the comments of people like you, with your shitty argument trying to call a plot-armor something that's well established, and ignoring details and context, spamming the word "realistic" everywhere, but without much sense. Many of the things were already clarified in the first comment and you ignored them, but I'm going to go even deeper and disprove the rest of what you said. 1) *"a whole squadron of clones with mid range rifles against a guy with a spear that has to be at close range with no helmet protection."* To begin with, you have a squad of about a dozen clones trying to eliminate a score of droids, several of which are superbattle droids, Savage isn't the only one on that battlefield who is occupying the clones' attention, they too are trying to eliminate and save themselves from being shot by multiple droids that outnumber them, and they were already losing before Savage arrived. So the logical tactical choice at first was to take the multiple droids with blasters instead of the guy with a axe in the background. 2) *"f you are a clone properly bred for war the simple solution is shoot him in the head"* It's funny that you talk about soldiers "well prepared for war" as If you know something about how things works in real situations, but well, let's continue. Leaving aside the fact that the place is full of droids trying to shoot you and you are outnumbered, so it's not like you have time to think or much freedom to move and act as you wish, ruclips.net/video/Bl7MII4qYMk/видео.html you can clearly see that Savage appears quickly among the droids, and a clone who is barely with a partner in front of 5 droids (and Savage), who is probably trying to dodge shots while defending the place, manages to shoot Savage at a vital point, this itself is a good shot and would kill anyone, but it doesn't do anything to him, the clone barely has time to react that Savage actually survived before Savage used his force-speed to get to him in literally a second, and kills him right away. Nothing to do here. 3) *"Unless your aim is that garbage doesn't require you getting right in front of him and crouching so he can slap you all to where the wild things are"* I love this comment, especially since it never happened. ruclips.net/video/Bl7MII4qYMk/видео.html The commander probably saw that Savage barely felt a shot in the chest from a blaster of his mid-range weapons and did not restrict any of his movement skills, so he has two options (considering that he is outnumbered and must beware of droids): Either he tries to shoot from a distance, which he knows wouldn't work, and as you can see he can't aim because Savage already has other clones in front of him and shooting would be a risk to his comrades, or on the contrary, he has to trust that the 3 men in front of him (that they are also shooting at droids) are going to buy time while he approaches and tries to take a shot at close-range, which would be more effective. What happens, as i was stated above, is that he doesn't know how powerful Savage is, ruclips.net/video/Bl7MII4qYMk/видео.html at the moment he starts to go, Savage in two seconds kills 3 men and sends them flying without difficulty, the commander doesn't even have time and is killed too, along with the other who tried to back-up the commander. 4) *"The only reason savage survived this fight was for the plot, because realistically he would've caught a laser through the brain almost instantly."* No, Savage survived for many reasons, such as being a force-wielder, being very large and massive, being protected with magic, as well as being naturally more resistant as a Zabrak, for being strong and fast as hell, plus he had droids with him that were killing clones, and because the clone couldn't know that he will survive a shot in a vital point, and the rest couldn't shot Savage without killing their comrades and they wanted to do an effective close-range shot, since the one from the distance did nothing, but Savage was on another level. Also, at this point we can say that of " realistic things" you know little. Savage has already survived worse situations, like here ruclips.net/video/Go4ixBWw_As/видео.html where he was shot in the chest, in the neck, and even behind his head, he did not die, so they didn't have a chance. With everything else explained, it is clear that your criticism is worthless
I think that commander trauma was so enraged at savage for killing so many of his men right in front of him that out of blind rage he ordered his men to charge at savage, thinking he could overwhelm him with sheer numbers.
Savage Oppress was brutal but quite skilled in this scene! He mowed down Clone Troopers with ease and took out Halsey in 12 seconds despite the fact that Halsey used impressive martial arts moves on him. Forget about Grievous being a Jedi Killer, Savage Oppress is the true Jedi killer! It'd be interesting to see him and Grievous fight each other.
I can't see Savage taking on Ki-Adi-Mundi, his apprentice, Shaak Ti, Aayla Secura, K'Kruhk, as well as a Jedi Master and his apprentice all at once and emerge victorious.
Yeah, they really made Grievous a shitty villain in this show. I prefer his EU Story and portrayal. EU Grievous is insane. Canon Grievous is complete trash.
Apparently Joseph Joestar has no proper concept of canon. And canon Grievous is better because he's more grounded. We do have some Jedi vs other people such as Ahsoka and ventress vs clones, ahsoka vs mando's, ahsoka vs trandoshans, ahsoka vs cad bane, ahsoka vs Pykes, Ahsoka vs criminals. Seriously tho, Ahsoka had so many. Ventress has some though.
I agree, we need to see more of how Jedi & Sith would fight each other in unarmed combat.

I just want to say, I love how brutal the clone wars can be sometimes. Compared to Rebels, this show is insanely brutal towards its characters, especially showing some of them die on screen, like Commander's Colt and Havoc during the invasion of Kamino, or even this scene here with Trauma and the Jedi getting absolutely mauled to death.
Kevin Cass Hehe you saw "mauled"
"opress'd to death"
Halsey and Knox got their Jedi asses stomped into paste
0:36 Good on that clone for killing the remaining battle droids, jumping out of the platform, and running away from the guy who just killed the remaining members of your unit.
What a waste of an awesome clone commander. They should have at least given Trauma a cool death
Brandon Coomar he is? How do you know?
Brandon Coomar when? What episode?
Sergeant Blayez Season 2 episode 3
Brandon Coomar That was Wolf Rex and Gregor not trauma. What part is trauma in?
that's what I said
For everyone who says Savage Opress is slow...this axe-wielding juggernaut was faster than a Jedi Master with a lightsaber. He dodged each saber strike and dodged each kick to his face.
Simply put it, Dooku taught Savage a style which did not suit him.
Savage stomped two masters with ease one of them was a council level master. Just makes the jedi seem like bitches if they lose to a guy who banks solely on raw force powers.
By the way, is Obi-Wan pathetic for struggling against Jango Fett in _Attack of the Clones?_ Better yet, are Anakin and Obi-Wan pathetic for having to work to dispatch those two Magnaguards they met on Grievous’ bridge in _Revenge of the Sith?_
Because preternatural reflexes, agility, strength, durability, and combat programming is all those droids have. The same attributes that Savage Opress had, except that the programming is replaced by lifetime of training.
Padawan: "Nooooo!"
Savage: "Look at little Kit Fisto Junior! Gonna cry?"

That WAS impressive. He defeated a Jedi, his Padawan, and several trained Clones without the slightest sign of trouble, and with minimal to no training.
yes because the jedi and clones were going full retard mode i guess Trauma, his men and the jedi would most likely have won when the jedi would fight in the front lines arack savage there and the clones could surround savage in a distance and let hell fire upon him
But I bet in isn't impressive when Rey beat Kylo in TFA. Characters like Rey and Savage are lame asf, little to no training yet they somehow beat people who have been training since they were younglings
@@apomtaylor8054 Well the thing is that Savage was amped by Nightsister Magic to be an unstoppable force. Obi Wan almost killed Darth Maul as a Palawan ;D This Palawan might be a badass, too xD

I’ll never forget watching new episodes of this show every Friday night on Cartoon Network. This storyline in particular was one of my favorites💯
Especially after we had to endure the first half of season 3. Little did we know Lucasfilm was about to give us the shot in the arm that would cement Clone Wars as one of the greatest Star Wars stories told with the Mortis arc, Savage Oppress/Ventress arc, the prison break arc, and Ahsoka's survival arc. Tbf this scene made Savage Opress look way tougher than he actually was. Also Halsey did pull off some pretty impressive moves, I think those kicks would have worked on anyone without the Talzin magick
Love the pace of this fight. Battle's waging no longer or shorter than any other normal Clone vs. Droid combat- Savage arrives and everything is dead silent.
Savage has a melee weapon and is seen oneshotting both droids and clones
Clones are highly trained infantry who can engage mid to long range quite easely
Clones rush in for whatever reason.
i think the Kaminoans have programmed some kinda killswitch in the clone brains where anyone with a melee weapon compels them to run into melee range. we've seen the same with Pong Krell and some Jedi during Order 66
Take a more accurate shot through his troops?
I mean, alright, Commisar Trauma
I always loved this seen as a kid. It felt so intense and grown up the way Filoni was never afraid to kill good guys. Take notes future cartoonists.
But he also wouldn't kill too many on a whim, like Gege Akutami. Character deaths should be perfectly balanced like in Clone Wars.
