I’m having the same problem with wind noise think I’ll move the mic to the front and see if it makes a difference, thank you for the vid and ride safe, oh and hello from the UK 👍👍👍
My bike can only get up to 60, but I have a new helmet and mic position now. My new helmet has vents that let air through where the mic was in this old video, so now I have mic clipped onto the center of the breath guard and I can be easily heard over everything.
I have a WindJammer and it does help you feel almost no wind and is more comfortable to ride, but in my experience it doesn't seem to help microphone wind noise. Mic position helps that the most. The trick is for it to be close enough to your mouth that it hears you over everything else, which will make wind be less of a problem in the recording. The mic has to be out of the way of any vents. Tucking mine in behind the breath guard works great on my helmet, even with my visor open.
I have done everything you have in the past to try and cut down on wind and get a sound like yours..I have now moved my microphones to the se location as you have yours..just need to try it all out now.. thanks for making this video
Mic was not my problem, the wind would drown out the music, I put earplugs in and cranked the volume all the way up and it sounds awesome. The terrible midrange was gone music was perfect and no wind noise.
I actually use an external sound recorder that I plug my mic into. It makes even the cheap $0.99 mics sound good. Cameras tend to overdo the mic volume and it distorts. Only issue with this is having to sync the separate sound and video later in editing, and having a good enough video editor capable of handling multiple tracks. So yeah it makes the quality better but complicates things more.
That's normal to happen. You can adjust the sound EQ in some video editors, or better yet experiment moving it closer to your mouth so it hears more of your direct voice. The trick is to find a spot where you also don't breathe on it.
Hey RosieMoto! Thanks for the info. I have my microphone placed near the front of my helmet and it's been working well. I'm a female motovlogger in North Central Florida - looks like you might be nearby. Would love to compare notes - your vlogs are way more professional than mine!
Hi, cool, glad it helped! I must not be too far from you.. I think I'm considered in East Central Florida. Go ahead and send me a message! Nice to know there's more female MotoVloggers around here!

Sounds great!
What mic and camera are you using? I am having the same problem in mine!!! The sound is soooo bad and I've tried like 12 different mics.

Pack the helmet with the bag it came in under the foam of the lid works a treat ....or preferably an old bag coz you need to cut it up quite a bit

Audio sounds great! what kind of camera were you using?
It was a Sony camcorder, the handheld kind that flips open. Totally not meant for on a helmet, but lol.
LOL well it looks good!
is that ormond beach? seems familiar.
Yep!
Damn, ridden that rode HUNDREDS of times. I'll be there in a week!
@@rosiemoto3052 I thought that looked familiar. Was the intercoastal near the Granada bridge. I just moved from there to Arizona on a sportbike.
Nice idea
It's really a challenge to reduce wind noise
