Scooter wheel not spinning freely when tightened/bearings issue (pt 2)
Просмотров 1,4 тыс.4 года назад
Audio only. I wanted to know if this back wheel issue I'm having actually affected the scooter's performance and how fast/far it goes. Maybe it wouldn't matter once weight is on the scooter? So I did some tests. Turns out it does make a noticeable difference.
Q: Kick scooter wheel not spinning freely - wheel nuts too tight?
Просмотров 8 тыс.4 года назад
As happy as I am with this A5 Air kick scooter, it bothered me from day 1 that the back wheel was so resistant to rolling... so I went to see if loosening the nuts to it would help, and yeah, that definitely fixed it, but it takes a good bit of loosening to get it completely free, and at that point the wheel is slightly wiggle-able. I imagine it's not enough to be unsafe, but I'm worried the nu...
Razor A5 Air first impressions

Here's what I have to say about this kick scooter after a couple mile first ride.
I made a decision on which kick scooter to get
Просмотров 1,1 тыс.4 года назад
I tested out my thrift store Razor kick scooter for real today, after having a good first impression of it from a short ride in an area that didn't really test its capabilities much. Turns out that first impression about it was...not exactly right. I imagined the A5 Lux not being a ton better, seeing how it's got the same 8" wheel size as my generic adult scooter did, and that one was scary (al...
A $3 kid's kick scooter got me back interested in scooters
Просмотров 8024 года назад
My generic/cheap adult kick scooter I got off eBay didn't go so well for me, and I lost interest entirely in the idea of kick scooters. Then a half rusted kid's Razor scooter I came across that I barely fit on, gave me a good enough first impression that I'm considering buying something new.
Pyle PDMIC58 vs Shure SM58 - A/B sound comparison
Просмотров 1,6 тыс.4 года назад
I owned the Pyle PDMIC58 for about 6 months up to this point and was constantly trying to tweak it once I started to notice how sibilant and treble-y my recordings were compared to other people's stuff. I thought I could be cheap and use EQ and other effects to fix its quirks, but it ended up being a constant headache for me, trying to get it to sound right. To the point I started to think some...
The speakers that tickle my curiosity
Просмотров 1624 года назад
I don't know how Bose made it possible for such a small speaker to make such a low bass (consistent down to 60hz), but it's really making me want to get them... so I get a used pair and then this happens. But I still want them. But I know these other speakers are technically better and I'll enjoy them more. But I still want them... If I get both, one will end up sitting, and it'll be the Bose m...

More than 4 years since the last video, how are you doing ?
Ur telling me u cant hold in the clutch but can hold the brake?
This is a great video and I agree with everything in it. I've had an A5 Air for a couple of years and I'm pretty experienced with it. When the brakes are wet you cannot rely on them. They are completely useless and it would be foolish to depend upon them at all.
with a $38 "scooter" branded scooter, lol yeah no wonder you had a bad experience XD
Rosie, have you tried an electric scooter? I purchased one recently and tbh it is probably the best purchase I've ever made!
I just take the ethanol out of regular 93 pump gas ( note that this will lower the octane a couple of points). Then add in octane booster and a little fuel conditioner to maintain octane and fuel additives. We don't have ethanol free pumps here. But most small engine shops will tell you ethanol is no good for small engines. And forget storage over winter etc. if there is ethanol in the gas. You can also put in a fuel conditioner if you use E10 gas. It will get you part way there and a little longer storage time. There are several brands, some are better than others.
I did this test on my Tao tao pony and Honda ruckus it does work better no ethanol
E-scooters can only go their max mile range at their lowest MPH level due to inefficient batteries. The faster you go, the less miles you can cover. They also become useless once that battery drains.
I just got into scootering my legs have been sore all day
Any brand of the intercom you're using? Where can I get one... Please and thanks...
OMG sexiest sounding in scooter review ever!
If ur new to scooting then yes ur muscles r experiencing a shock . If u do it consistently for a couple of weeks it gets easier and in no time u will be able to go any length without any issues.
Yeah my thigh gets a bit tired from having to lower myself so I can push but it’s slowly adapting :3 I really like the sensation of gliding around on the big wheels though and I’m having lots of fun 😊
Love the vid :) from UK
I’m having the same problem with wind noise think I’ll move the mic to the front and see if it makes a difference, thank you for the vid and ride safe, oh and hello from the UK 👍👍👍
If your hand is hurting you while pulling in the clutch for a long period of time it's a perfect indicator that you have to grease or wax your cable so that it pulls in easily. This is a maintenance most motorcycle owners fail to address.
I tried to commute with a kick scooter, but it was tough on my knees. Is faster than walking, though $38 buks not bad great deal
I’d use this as a comparison to tell you that E-0 gas is much better for your bike, as many vehicles with a carburetor fair better with E-0 gas.
You get fitter on these. From head to toe. Get a lower deck. Get a Razor A6, or something easier. High off the ground means it won’t catch. But a high deck and having to stoop to kick is exhausting.
Hope your still using your scooter and have another one now to suit you. I’m 67 now. Have used them since they came out. I use Micro-Scooters, now. A Classic with 8 inch wheels. Use alternate legs for the long runs.
Super sidewalk
Awesome 👍🏻 A scooter is 10 times as hard as a bicycle. 10 miles on a scooter is like 100 miles on a bicycle.
What, it’s like so many things wrong with this advice. How can you advise people to hold the break, but you’re saying you can’t hold the clutch. Similarly, you have your right foot down, where it should be on the break, versus the left. And if you really want to put the bike in neutral, fine, but that will add a step, and make getting up to speed more difficult. Geez, these aren’t good riding habits to share.
Quite the contrary. Racing off the moment the light turns green is a bad habit that might lead you into a car that went over a red light. Instead, while you're shifting back into first you take an extra second and reduce the chance of running into someone who ran a red light Also, laying your foot down is in no way similar to squeezing your hand together
🛴yes it iz the eziest to cary thinges withit razer makes a low one
01:42 - a glove over the lens is simple, effective and rather easy marker..........
so this is when the crossovers started taking over the roads
more memes in your videos !
Noise reduction ?
No gloves?! Wait until you come off the bike….
This was great . I just got my first cruiser its a Schwinn Riverside like you , I can't seem to find any information on it. I haven't ridden it yet its being worked on but I'm so excited and from what I have seen here its just what I'm looking for. I hope mine is as good as yours
Too bad that you didn't enjoy your ride...I also have a kick scooter and it's so much fun...
Thank you
Thanks for reinforcing, in my mind, that the Pyle PDMIC58 is a good mic. It simply has a different frequency response than the SM58. The Pyle, from a 4 to 6 inch distance from it, has a clarity that the SM58 doesn't have. The SM58 sounds fuller, and sometimes, when you're trying to get a mic'ed voice to cut through a mix, more treble is better (and thus the PDMIC58 might be a better choice than the SM58.)By the way, I use the PDMIC58 on live gigs. It works just fine. It's a perfectly reasonalbe substitute for an SM58, in lots of circumstances. I play solo gigs (guitar and voice) where the tonal characteristics of a mic are on full display (no large band noise covering it up.) The PDMIC works perfectly fine in this environment. I would suspect that the Pyle is less sturdy than the Shure, but for fraction of the price, that is to be expected. Just treat the mic with respect, and it should be just fine. Behringer also makes some very good 58 like mics that work well too (See the Behringer XM8500, and the BA85a. The XM8500 has a bit thicker sound than the 85a, but the 85a actually has a bass bump on the low end that the XM8500 doesn't have.) If you're going out on gigs where somone's drunken son or daughter, who has been eating cake, wants to borrow the mic, one of these 58 like mics, might be a wise choice to have. Thank you for making the video,. You did a great job of keeping it to the point (no unboxing and all of that stuff) with clear AB testing going on. Well done. (PS: Your voice sounds good on either one. One is just brighter sounding.) I actually like the sound of your voice through the Pyle, better. The Shure makes your voice sound muffled.
I'm with you, born-to-lose autistic with a 50cc, wishing I could afford a Yamaha Smax.
Kick scooters are best, you don't have to worry about flat batteries, take them wherever you want to go and it's good exercise for your legs😅
Bearings are good. It is tiring and you get to about 5-7 mph. When down hills it gets scarey. Single brake/ rear mudguard isn't that safe especially in rain. I'm thinking about dual brake scoot, has lever on handlebar. I have 205mm wheel and you have to lower your leg on the board so yea it tiring. Ppl buy commuter scoot because it's faster than walking and when folded is easy to carry. They weigh about 5 kilogrammes. Great honest video. Keep at it, alternate your legs for scooting.
Miss the vids! I hope you’ve been well! :)
Ethanol free gas is better all the way around , that’s all I burn in my scooter
hi thanks for the tip , also was wondering is this road vero beach ? and ride safe
I hold it down until I see 2-3 cars behind me at completely stop then I switch to neutral. But I like your tip as well. Good video
Spend the $$$ and buy a xootr…I commute 18 miles and don’t even break a sweat.
Same thing happened to me. I got exhausted just trying it out around the neighborhood, and mine had a lower deck than yours too. I can ride a bike for miles, even against the wind or uphill, but I get exhausted by a kick scooter. Maybe it's because adults weigh more and it's harder to push ourselves, compared to how kids to it.
Once you can get your waist down to push yourself, you will get speed and then you build up muscle. Been riding one for some time and love it. And I got more fit. But one leg squats do take a bit of training to get there.
Ethanol free is always better
Girl, you need to make ASMR videos. Just saying...
I just order me one of these, for work out. Hahhaha
Always keep it in first, and right foot on rear brake. You’re doing too many things to try and take off vs just releasing the clutch to get out of danger.
You carry it around and use it down hill
Engine is running but the rear wheel won't spinning on my Genuine scooter 2 cycle 50cc
Genuine 125 scooter rear wheel won't spin freely
I used to have difficulty with holding the clutch at a stop light too. I’m now used to it, my hand get stronger and I get better grip. What helped a lot initially is change the angle of the shifting lever. I loosen the screws and adjusted clutch and front brake levers until my wrist is flat when holding them. They were too forward/downward before and was tiring my wrist. I also learned to relax my hand while holding the lever pressed, just use enough force to maintain that lever. I used to squeeze too much tiring me quick. Being in first at a stop gives you the ability to quickly take off in case of incoming danger.
