Beautiful morning in Corpus Christi & Port Aransas, Texas on Mustang Island. I started the day from access road 2 and driving up to the pier in Port A. The sunrise and conditions were perfect.
Later I went back down the island to Access Road 3 and and took a swim.

Beautiful and peaceful…before the sun comes up; and all the people arrive. Spent many days on that island; camping on the beach and fishing from the piers, before the hurricanes took them out. Caldwell pier was repaired, but Bob Hall pier was damaged beyond repair.

Morning is the best time! Beat the crowds, perfect weather, escape the island before the traffic.

Thanks Andrew... Great moving images of dawn and sunrise.
All the pastel colors come out because of the water reflecting the sky and sun back onto the haze of the atmosphere.
You only get that by the ocean facing the sunrise.
