Use "expand" instead of "clone" in your sceen settings, then you can have different resoulutions on each monitor

@Subaru WRX It works. I (rarely) use my ipad mini 2 as a second monitor for my win10 laptop. It works fine, but the ipad mini is just too small to really be useful. I'll primarily have file explorer or something like that on it
@Subaru WRX It's an external monitor app. I originally bought it so that I could rehearse PowerPoint presentations using the presenter view when I didn't have a second screen (but had an iPad Mini). It acts exactly the same as any other monitor -- you can choose to duplicate or extend.
@Subaru WRX I’m confused. I have an iPad, an iPhone and a Windows PC. I use Duet Display on my iPad as a portable second screen for my PC. It acts like any other (touchscreen) monitor, and turns up in the screen settings as such.

I just found this, so it's cool to see it in action by a pro artist.
My drawing tablet was dying so I got an iPad and finding a way to use it as a touch screen monitor is a game changer!

My professional advice... Get the iPad and buy Affinity Photo and Designer. If you buy Affinity Photo you can do everything that you can do in Photoshop. If you don't have the muscle memory of Photoshop like most graphic designers that being doing it for ten yrs you will not miss on anything.

OMG- This is exactly what I needed to know! I’ve been airdropping my images back and forth between my iPad and computer, sometimes hundreds of times per project. Definitely gonna try this.

I think, in wIndows you can change display option from "duplicate" to "extend" and have different resolution between two screens (a screen and an ipad in your case). And then just drag and drop photoshop between screens
100% I do this for my screens, which are all different dimensions.
yep thats the solution, ive used it before and that works just fine
indeed ! he'll be multi-screening crazy when he gets that whipped into being... also I read there's an issue with the framerate and power settings in the Duet app on the ipad - might clear up some of the delay/jerkiness ?
If he extends the display, he can then have two windows of the same photoshop project open at the same time one on the ipad and one on the other display. No need to drag and drop photoshop between screens :)

Just throwing this out there, Clip Studio Paint seems very suited to your art style and it is on the iPad. You wouldn’t get the lag.
I like procreate enough to just do everything on there for 2d art, BUT this could come in super handy for 3d work. I think I'd rather do sculpting/texture painting with the Ipad rather than my pen display. Ten Hun always out here with the pro tips 🙏🤘

You may like Artstudio Pro for the iPad as it’s kind of a cross between Procreate and Photoshop. A new FAQ, Getting Started and Help manual will be coming out for it. They also have it for the Mac.
ive used duet before, the only issue was the lag that you pointed out. i just have a small iPad and it just wasn't enough surface area for me. I'm sure the pro would work much better though

Been using it for years. Works great on Mac too (before sidecar became a thing).
Love your Videos ! But thought on this one : if you guys use a mac and an ipad, there is "sidecar" wich is basicly build in duet. I use it all the time, works like magic and its implemented so its free !

The lag was too bad for me to use comfortably. Better workflow for me was using Clip Studio Paint on my iPad. They allow you to just synching work to your desktop as needed.

I recently upgraded my very old iPad which could only run (and barely run) RUclips, to an iPad Pro and I absolutely love it for art.
Man I even love the way you make ads ! They're dope bro you should make a behind scene stuff or make Fiverr and do these crazy ads( I mean like the ads you made in previous videos)
I kept thinking the camera was warping the monitor (like a fish eye) in the background for weeks-good to finally have that mystery cleared up! That is an AMAZING monitor!!!
Question! For the ability to use Apple pencil support with this app, does it register touch sensitivity and tip angle the way a typical art tablet would?
Old question, but other people will be looking for the answer, I expect. Duet Pro (paid subscription) has tilt and pressure support.

You can add custom resolutions in windows to add the true ipad resolution. But beyond you can use it as a second instead of cloning.

In the options, just click "extend my display" and both monitors will show their native resolution

Hey Ten If you don’t want to fart around with the display settings all the time you can just extend the display so you have two separate displays so you don’t have to change the resolution of your main display all the time

This made my morning. I was looking to buy the XPPen for digitizing embroidery which is art with thread. I digitize with a mouse. The software is behind times and can only be used on PC no apps. I wanted to use my Ipad Pro as a tablet for this. Thank You

If you're willing to pony up the pennies, Astropad with Luna Display is superior, in my opinion. It's such a nice experience.

I hope Apple adds these functionalities to sidecar. The touch gestures don’t seem to work on sidecar, which is very inconvenient.
What is the case you use which iPad and also do you use a screen protector?
You should try Astro Pad. Think they might have been one of the first to do it so it's has little to no latency.

I work as a freelance illustrator and I use Astropad. It’s the best app to mirror photoshop on the iPad so far. It’s a dream, totally worth the price.
I have a question about Procreate, I do sneaker customs and use Procreate and I love it.. but I know I could do better. What brush/brushes do you use when drawing and sketching? I can't find one that really feels proper to me..

Thank you for this. I only use Procreate and have wanted to connect my iPad to my pc for a long time. Just bought the app, but waiting on a cable I ordered to connect my iPad and PC. Do you have your own set of Procreate brushes. The one you were drawing looks like a good one for lineart. Is it yours, or just one you use often. If so, do you have a link where I can get it. If it's yours, I'd like to buy it.
I think you can get a program on pc to change your ultra wide monitor into two separate zones, so its like two monitors that are right next to each other without the bezel between them. So you could still put like editing programs across both monitor zones.
Whats that program ?
If your using a Mac, Astropad does the same thing. Astropad is actually made to work with Photoshop, but I was able to get it to work with Affinity Designer as well.
Am I understanding this correct, I can use photoshop on my desktop and the ipad as the graphics tablet? Maybe better for me as my pc has 16gb ram and allow for more layers.
