Founding member and bass singer Melvin Franklin didn’t danced a whole lot in this performance because he was still recovering from his injuries following gunshot wounds in his hand and leg trying to stop a man from stealing his car.)
This may be a bit of a reach, but I feel like more Tempts deserve to go in the Hall of Fame as Tempts. I can understand doing the six they did (Melvin, Otis, Paul, Eddie, David, and Dennis). I can understand them going in first. But sometime after that, they could've put others in. My picks to go in just based off how they performed onstage and on certain hits would be Richard Street, Ali Woodson, Damon Harris, Glen Leonard (that's not Eddie or Damon you sing along to on "Silent Night") and Ron Tyson. And I'm not familiar with Al Bryant's work but he was an original member so maybe he deserves to go in too, if anything just to recognize him as an original.
Actually Al Bryant is a Original Temp (Otis, Melvin, Paul, Eddie, and Al). But the lineup that everybody knows and the most famous Line-up is the Classic 5 Line-up (Otis, Melvin, Paul, Eddie, and David - David Replaced Al).
I agree with inducting more members. But I would say Damon, Richard, and Ollie. Glenn is starting to grow on me as a singer, but being the voice of a nice Christmas carol doesn't quite cut it for me. Ron Tyson has put in many years and provided stability to that once volatile first tenor position. But I don't know of any great moments of his as a Temp.
Richard quit before the Temps formed. He was with Otis Willam and the Distance, but dropped. When the Temps formed, he was the lead singer for the Monitors, and a A&R at Motown.
I think it's funny though we feel perfectly obliged to pick apart, examine, and critique every little thing these guys are doing. They are obviously master artists in their craft and a whole lot of talent and hard work went into what they do. I don't see a lot of people arguing about who is better between Picasso, Da Vinci, Michelangelo, and guys like that. They mostly just enjoy and appreciate their work. People don't even seem to be terribly critical of the Beatles, and they didn't do a lot of things particularly well. Why do we constantly compare these guys to whoever else instead of just appreciating their artistry? These constant comparisons and all of this critiquing doesn't make much sense to me. These guys are good. That's all I see. Very good show.

Founding member and bass singer
Melvin Franklin didn’t danced a whole lot in this performance because he was still recovering from his injuries following gunshot wounds in his hand and leg trying to stop a man from stealing his car.)
I think Glenn is handsome and his voice is lovely 😊
Mr. Richard Street was smokin hot on bareback lead
@@mistrterrancebutler I literally said that.
@@privatoist you did! I didn't realize it until after I done replied. Lol.
A young Eddie would've tore up silent Night: if he had sung it at his upper range
Love
Yea yea super música,!! mi hermanito y yo nos peliabomos por los discos!! Antes eran discos jiii!!
Awesome Awesome Awesome
I’ve been fortunate to meet glen Lenard one time. Thanks to some of the platters that I’ve got know
Only two original members , but these gentlemen did an awesome job.
Were the others suppose to come back from the dead?
Richard quit before the Temps formed. He was with Otis Willam and the Distance, but dropped. When the Temps formed, he was the lead singer for the Monitors, and a A&R at Motown.
@RobinLight. The only one deceased at the time was Paul.
@@DeeCreative630 and Al.
Love It!!!!
great group
The Soundtrack of AMERICA,Classic MOTOWN!!
Because kids will be kids and want their way, even when it's not possible to have. I totally agree with you.
This was when they left Motown, not a good time period for the group. Thank God they resigned there in 1980
They are the greatest group in singing
cbjrcher1 This if us who have a history with the group.Im I wrong to say that they were sad. They were just a good group. Not what we were accustom to or expect from the Emperor's better known as The Temptations
