Imagine what the audition to sing for the Temptations is like. Their voices are so pure. They are the Number One group ever. Otis and Ron Tyson are still alive.
Normally I hate when Ruffin led Temptations songs are performed but Oli-Ali Woodson really performed "I Wish It Would Rain" with such power, grace, feeling and meaning.
What would we do if Motown never happened I totally think we Wouldn’t have all the memories we have because of them . Thank you for so much good times.
Damn…. I left it alone for a while, however every time I come back to listen to this Man, it’s so inspirational. God Bless your soul Ali. “ I wish it would Rain “. What a Gifted Brother
This is the 2nd best Temptation lineup, right behind the OG's ! Ollie is an AWESOME lead singer ! He has soul and church wrapped up into one AWESOME voice. POWERFUL and CHILLING ! R.I.P. OLLIE !
I put this iteration behind the Dennis led group. Both of which are eclipsed, in my opinion, by the classic Ruffin-led lineup of Eddie, Paul, Melvin, and Otis. They did a good job of replacing the original greats. But as it always happens in music, and particularly in this case, at some point the composition takes on a life of its own, and is no longer the Temptations, as we knew them, but transitions into an Oldies act covering the Temps. They passed that point with Woodson's departure. 👑🎸🎵

Ollie Woodson sings out Whoopi , directly to her Smiling Face. This song is now #1 (5 star) forever with the Four Temptations and Otis Williams founder of The Temptations. This could have been on Broadway back in 1992. It is a great performance of our wonderful comedian Whoopi Goldberg playing a sweet naive young lady, enchant it by The Temptations Amen🙏🏾✌️😘🙏🏾.
JJDPRO MEDIAPRODUCTION : One and two in that order......The Tempts had several generations feeling their music. Take 6 had only one generation feeling their music. Greatness is judged by its longevity.
Ollie is the closest sounding to both David AND Dennis perfect mix between the two and on, “I Wish it Would Rain.” Ron sounds very close to Eddie. One of the only times, when Ron does solo stuff it’s different though.
These songs bring back feelings and memories that are so precious and indescribable. Reminds me of being a little kid growing up on Willoughby Ave in Bedford Stuyvesant. Born in 1969 just when some of these songs were out or coming out. It was a tough area during that time but still there was something wonderful about it at the same time. It is incredible what the sound of music can do to the mind and body.
Next to David, Ali was the best Temp lead singer. I’m his own way, he was just as good as Ruffin. I just wish there were more recordings of Ali. He should have been so much bigger. One of the greatest Soul singers ever.
