Thanks again, after your help with the rear window used this for the front blades which were even easier. Slight moment of panic when I put the 24" on the passenger side. Operator error quickly corrected. Worked like a charm. I did ask the oil change guys but he said "we don't do the newer blades." I guess in his world 2018 is a new car. Thanks again.

Excellent tutorial. Previously tried installing the Michelin Guardian wipers I purchased at Costco on my 2017 Mazda CX5 but wasted about 30 minutes before concluding none of the adapters work. I went with your suggestion instead and ordered directly from Amazon. Thank you for making my life easier.

I tried 3 different brands and finally brought it some where and tried to have them replace it.. with no luck. Then I looked in my mazda book and it talks about replacing the rubber piece only. But, I'm glad you found this brand, it seemed easier to install instead of taking the rubber piece out. I will try it!! Thanks!!
I changed out ONLY the rubber part for my Mazda CX5 windshield wipers. Got it at the dealership so it’s a perfect fit. It was $12.49 a piece. Huge savings vs. replacing the whole part. Make sure you still have your OEM wipers intact.
I try and change my wiper blades every fall. I bought Michelin ones from Costco a couple of years back and they didn't have that adapter for our CX5! I got frustrated and gave up. The wife recently mentioned her wipers are wearing out and I had flashbacks to that struggle. Thanks for posting this, I can see what I am supposed to have now....

I saw this video just after I got home from Autozone. Just a heads up, for my 2019 CX-5 the Bosch ICON 24OE and 18OE with adapter 6 work great. I appreciate this to-the-point, informative video without a lot of unnecessary talking. 👍
If you are looking for silicone wipers with the right adapter, PIAA Si-tech 97060A and 97045A also come with the correct adapter... I believe it is the "F" clip for newer Mazda.
Yes! Thank you! Never had trouble with my wiper blades until this mazda! Pep Boys messed it up and my mechanic gave up saying he couldn’t find any that fit! I will try to get the next pair on but still may have to resort to black tape! Omg Mazda!
How is it no one realizes Mazda went back to the old school wiper blade refill, that only cost about $17 a pair. No need to go out and replace the whole wiper at $30, $50, or $70 from autonoarys stores.
I just got a pair from amazon as well using their car filtering system. I can't image what a pain it would be to find it on your own as there doesn't seem to be any standards for all the different adapters. Even the wipers I got came with 6 different adapters.
@@MeAndCarKeys So far I haven't been able to locate anything that attaches with the push lock tab. I have seen "universal adapters" which means you have a 50/50 chance of it not working.

The dealer charged me $67 to do that, and they were some bulky, butt-assed ugly, NON OEM ones. I was pissed. How dare they replace my wipers with something other than what I had, without telling me. I just did my rear wiper today, next time, the fronts.

The Bosch Clear Advantage (24CA) will also work. It has the correct adapter for. The guy at PartSource here in Ontario figured it out for me.

I bought some that had a bunch of adapters. One was close, but not quite right. One of the oddball choices that Mazda made with this model.

Well it was Mazda that made the switch. Trico is the only other brand that I have found that has a replacement. Just gotta get the correct one
