I agree with everything but the car value depreciation. Now maybe that depends on certain cars. Maybe overall car depreciation is pulling that number down but to give you an example. I bought my 2020 Dodge Challenger GT on Dec. 31 2020 brand new with 7 miles on it for $24K @ 5% interest and my monthly payment is $344. I can live with that. Looking to upgrade to an RT and right now my trade in value for my car is $24,600 according to Carvana, Carguru and Carmax so right now I owe $14,500. That's a positive investment of $10,100 on another trade in. Sadly it sounds like the people in these videos cannot say that about their overpriced cars.
The problem is more often than not, people aren't buying a decent daily driver. They're driving the ridiculously overpriced vehicle they don't need and paying mortgage prices for them so now they're probably house poor and car poor. Definitely not good. Also it's probably best to stay away from certain vehicles you'll more than likely find yourself upside down on come 2 or 3 years down the road after you purchase it.
