- [4K] Jurassic Flyer is a powered Coaster at Universal Studios Beijing. "Hop aboard a high-tech glider and soar far above Jurassic World Isla Nublar for a Pteranodon’s-eye view of the spectacular prehistoric world below." - Universal Studios Beijing website
You can find this exact ride system on Arthur ride at Europa park and Dragon Gliders inside DreamWorks themed land at Motiongate in Dubai.
Ride filmed January 2024 at the New Universal Studios Beijing.
You do eventually plan to have dinosaurs...on your dinosaur ride, right?
My thoughts exactly.
I really hate that man....
🏆
Lmao. 😂😂😂. Great comment, Todd. Maybe they are waiting for a massive rain storm, and they need to read the schematics to shut down the ride so the dinosaurs can break through the barriers. Lol.
Terrible ride.
"I really hate that man..."
Kept waiting for the ride to really start. 😂
I was confused myself 😂
think of this as the updated version florida has. they really should rip it out and put this one. looks like it would hold more people.
In China, the rides need to be family friendly and not too scary...
@@LouieGMDesignwhy build a Jurassic park world then? They could have at least build a still standing dino, or decorate a little. It’s literally just fake stone and an outside view. The plants make it jurassic park ? Or the rocks ? The original (EP) is 1000x better and not even scary and also family friendly.
@@StijnNLDutchAgree. They could have put a non moving dinosaur in the top of the glass atrium. And put some in the alcoves inside the cave tunnels.
This ride system is made for theming, dark rides, animatronics, story etc but here? There's nothing 😂😂. Look at Arthur at Europa Park - it's a really fun ride! 🙌🎢
Arthur sucks just as much as this. If it wasn't for one or two nice sets that the train runs through, it would be an even greater failure. There is no story to be seen and the entire layout screams "prototype"
@@MioRaem Not really, the sets of Arthur follow scenes from the movie arriving in the world of the Minimoys incl escape/runaway and arriving at the bees' nest. Scenes are nice and they even work with odor and interaction so that riders can decide about the last part of the ride pressing a button during the ride. This ride cannot be compared to Arthur at all because there isn't any scene and decoration at all 😂. Arthur at least has scenery, decoration, theming, music, animatronics, lights, interaction and odor. Sorry, but I can't agree to your comment 🤷.
Arthur is awesome! i love it so much
@@MioRaem I actually got the story on just the ride.
This ride has a lot of cool tech being wildly underutilized. Still, looks fun, but by the end I was like...oh, that's it?
@@TUBESPECIFIC1 You do know that the ride is designed by Universal Creative of Orlando, i.e. Americans right? Your "culture" rant is not only a false narrative certain media propagates but also irrelevant here.
@@APDM_OSINT WTF are you even talking about? This guy didn't mention anything about culture
@@acabblm64 there was another guy said something like “it was underutilized because Chinese culture has no creativity”. He was a troll.
Right lol me too lol
I wouldn’t consider that a coaster more like a flying ride, it’s cute for kids though.
Seems low energy. And why is there a walkway under 95% of it?
Evac it is necessary because it is a powered coaster. That means it is powered by motors not gravity
Flying over all the cement stairs without handrails or non slip protection looks absolutely terrifying. No wonder the dinosaurs went extinct!
The theme is rocks and pathways? I thought they added some dinosaurs later, but it didn't change since opening. It's so disappointing when you know how similar rides are themed.
The waterfall is also turned off
Ahhhhh the Dinosaurs are the people walking around…got it 😏🦕🦖
Wow, this ride sux!!!
Thank you to the person who gave this video.
I don't know what this attraction is trying to convey. The seats are spinning around; I wonder if pterosaurs can turn sideways while flying? I understand moving your head, but I've never heard of crab-walking, or crab-hopping. I think it would be better to have a dinosaur underneath and then fly around on top of it.
No Theming. The exact same ride system and course is in Europe on a ride called "Arthur" which has excellent theming.
Spared no expense.
The budget was cut and safety evac concerns meant all those platforms were added under the rides track.
The result was NO ACTUAL "RIDE". Huge let down.
Meh it looks boring.. where’s the dinosaurs? And the spinning is unnecessary and way too short
see the same Coaster in Germany and Dubai .... Arthur Minimoys / Dragonfly
@@marccevio At least the Minimoys have animatronics and backgrounds !
@@dav_le_dessineux yes thats true....but i see this "Jurassic Park Ride" is very new... maybe they build some Dino Animatronics inside.... looks really boring at time...
Yeah! The ride looks so barren. Is this a post-extinction ride?
lol to the person who said maybe they will add animatronics later. Lmao smh.
Someone is going home with only one shoe 👟😂
I was seriously thinking, "Who lost a shoe?".
Yeah...I saw that and it was close to where the workers were. They couldn't even get for that person who now Hopping around the park on one foot. LOL
HOW WAS THAT ENTERTAINING!?!
It’s just an inverted People Mover. Disneyland, take notes.
Strange ride. Feels like it's not finished and they still need to add some dino animatronics
Looks chilled 😊 That's my kind of coaster.
This is like one of the most chill hanging rides I’ve seen. I’d go on it just because I’m not a thrill rider
Cool ride system, a fun way to look around the park, but it is definitely missing any immersive Jurassic elements. Add a few dinos and pterosaurs robots, screens or even statues, and would be awesome. I am sure it is a fun experience though.
such a mild coaster, but someone still managed to lose a shoe! 👟
I am not sure this can be considered a coaster more than a people mover type ride like peter pan
I was amazed by the lenght of the walkaway
2:53 cool the parade is happening
Great concept. But more speed gives coaster more fun. Looks like some parts/decoration is missing (working on?). For example no water in pond.
COOL TO SEE BUMBLEBEE AT THE END!
It is fabulous... it just need animatronics and it would be FANTASTIC!!!
Curious ride. A lot of spinning and more designed perhaps from the view point of flying dinosaurs. It's very different. I'd do it as it's so unusual, but it needs more to it. Like Dinosaurs 🦕
To quote Ian Malcolm: "There are actual dinosaurs on this dinosaur tour right?"
You can also see a version of this in Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg.
Assuming it is Dolly-wood, but what ride(s)?
I feel like 50% of the budget went on that amazing Jurassic World ride and the remaining 50% are split between filler rides like these 😂
It looks like a cool ride. It needs more items though to really be Jurassic World related. I can’t go on coasters anymore since I had a heart transplant at 16. I use to love coasters but something like this I could handle because it’s not going at ridiculous speeds upside down etc. I think for people expecting a roller coaster it really doesn’t fit that category because it’s a different type of ride altogether. It needs some animatronics. The ride is very short. I was surprised it only lasted as long as it did.
You see a Tyrannosaur doesn't follow a set pattern or park schedules, the essence of chaos.
Looks very cosy ❤
Looks like it gives great kinetic energy to the land!
The fact that 80% of the ride has cement or nets directly underneath both 1. takes away from any real sense of flying, and 2. makes me feel like they're not confident in the safety of the actual safety harnesses, like are they THAT worried about people falling out the whole time??
Nice ride. One small issue: no Pteranodons
the shoe at the end LMAOOO
Is it even really a coaster? This is basically a glorified suspended dark ride. Neat design, but there's no drops, loops, or inversions that would make this a coaster, but there's also a complete lack of scenes or design effects that would make it a good dark ride. 7/10 for the engineering, but 3/10 for the actual ride.
Basically all other rides with this system are combination dark rides and coasters, the two that come to mind are Arthur at Europa-Park (the very first one of these) and How To Train Your Dragon: Dragon Gliders at Motiongate Dubai.
@@tedioustotoro4885 Fair, it just feels like this ride is so perfectly in-between coaster & dark ride that there isn't enough of either to make it feel like much of anything.
JURASSIC FLYER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Was that the Jurassic ROCK ride?
That looks cool
I thought it was cool but definitely could have been a longer ride 😊
was this filmed using DJI OSMO POCKET 3 by any chance? just out of curiosity...
This could have been some much more..the ride feels incomplete. Arthur in Europapark is a mediocre ride, but it feels so much better in comparisson.
No kidding,we call it flying over concrete.
Cool ride system; it's a shame it's so slow. And what's with all of the outdoor palm trees? Beijing freezes in the winter?
Very beautifuln🌺👍💙
Liminal Space Mountain
I like that! I would ride on it.
Where is the velocicraptors?
"So, how many catwalks do you wa..."
"YES."
"Okay... And some decorat..."
"NO."
"So, you just want the coaster ?"
"YES."
"And that it ?"
"CATWALKS"
"OKAY ! I UNDERSTAND ! DONT YELD AT ME !"
"NO."
*Mack Rides leave the office*
Feels like video slowed ride
They need to step up having guests secure loose items(and shoes). There was a bunch of stuff on the floor that had come loose.
One of the best ride systems a park can buy... and they do northing with it!
I was so hyped when I heard Universal were building one of these. Yet it's by far the weakest of the 3. How did that happen!
I would like to see this in Universal Orlando. Just a simple fun family coaster! But don't take out Pteranodon Flyers!
They should take out pteranodon flyers
@@Sag_GodProb take a while for that one. It seems to still be a pretty popular ride, and with the new Velocicoaster just having came in, it might be 5-10 years before that portion of the park is touched again unfortunately.
@@RolenTBardIf adults can't ride it then I'm not interested.
This video is amazing; it wasn’t as scary as I thought since it didn’t involve hills nor turbulence. It’s perfect for me although I wish I had a passport, but this is better for me; I loved it.
Truck, Duck, Pluck, FUn 2 riDE
Um, theming? Do the Chinese version of the Jurassic Park movies not have dinosaurs in them?
Kind of reminds me of Arthur at Europa Park
oha ... Mack Rides selling another Power Coaster..... see the same Power Coaster Germany "Arthur & Minimoys" and in Dubai "How to train a Dragon" ....
Doing it so much better!
Nice video
😊
Makes me nervous if we get a park in England. This mack ride system has huge potential, but the visuals are not great on this. Some AAs would sort tht out, even if herbivores as it is a family attraction
These rides are effectively designed to be a sort of fast dark ride with variable speed control, like a dark water ride, but the swiveling seats are meant to allow passengers to be pointed in directions you want them to look like at animatronics, projectors or displays, but I think they got the wrong idea when they bought this ride and just thought it was some really slow thrill coaster I guess?
Kind of slow and not much to look at. They are still working on this one right?
why all the catwalks? ruins the flying effect
What is the manufacturer ?
What's the point of this ride? I mean I know its a gentle ride for kids but there's not much to see.
They bought an off the shelf ride system without any idea of what to do with it.
Imagine spending all that money on a Jurassic themed 'monorail' without the Jurassic part.... It should of been a dark ride with animatronics of you know... Jurassic stuff like dinosaurs....
That was....as the kids today say...MID
I did keep noting how much of the ride could be walked off if there was a breakdown. And noting. And more noting. Okay. I could ride this, nothing happens. BUT IT MIGHT.
Where is the Jurassic part?? Its all flyer 😂😂
I don't get the point of the cars turning much less the entire ride that is a pseudo people-mover over an existing walk way. What is it?
I get the concept. But I agree. This ride has problems. They need to address the scenery/ immersive qualities. Or lack thereof. You as the rider should feel like there’s a reason for the ride. A story aspect. Other than seeing across the lake high up. Too much of the track is looking at ride supports or underground “fake” rocks.
Is that it?
How did that have anything to do with Jurassic park?I didn't see one dinosaur
我個人建議是中國大陸北京環球影城應該有兩個選擇給客人要好,一個是英文和中文
This looks amazing
Lo único divertido de este paseo es ver la zapatilla que se le cayó a alguien poco antes de llegar a la estación! 😅😅😅 Vaya gasto de tecnología y recursos más absurdo, que aburrimiento de montaña rusa.
The only fun thing about this walk is seeing someone's shoe that fell shortly before arriving at the station! 😅😅😅 What an absurd waste of technology and resources, what a rollercoaster boredom.
She’s turned Red
I’m pretty sure it’s really new and unfinished
wheres the jurassic? seems like a normal roller coaster to me
Mack rides made this type of ride to make it an adventure darkride. Not to be naked like this.
wait.... where are the dinosaurs? at least some?
The evacuation platforms below the track are really disappointing. Hoping in the future they will update the Chinese safety code. Unfair to Mack Rides. The canopy views and trees inside the Aviary are now ruined. Looks like the coaster was also meant to glide above the water in the finale
Man that's ugly when they get forced to add evacuation paths under most of it
What a gross mess
Exactly.. at what part of the design process did they figure out they HAD to include these horrible escape floors? Why build a powered coaster through the air when you are almost all the time half a meter from the unthemed ground? And no dinos? Not even one static one? Something went really wrong here.. especially for a Universal park and with one of the best new darkrides in the world right around the corner. But reading from these comments some people would love to ride a coaster that showcases rocks and cement floor.. 🙈
ok the concept looks cool just horrible execution i actually like the concept of going along the walkway. imagine if they do this for a new JW Area in epic universe just add more stuff and make the ride a little longer
Poor slipper
Wow, this ride is incredibly pointless and poorly done.
The "Arthur and the Minnimoys" Ride in Europa Park Germany is not this long, but has some dark ride scenes with a Story. This one is just boring!!
This ride looks fun but all the safety platforms and nets below completely destroys any excitement and scenery. There is absolutely no theming or even animatronics of any kind too.
Such dramatic music for a meh looking ride 😂😂
Wow. That's very... Anticlimactic.
Uh oh, someone lost a shoe. Nice roller coaster, but not what I think of as being Jurassic World.
No dinos?
I don't get it.
I much prefer this to the Water ride in Uni Hollywood.
