Omg, so right on the money about creative pursuits!!! 2 years into a creative biz (semi retired) only to realize that last point on securing an income generating gig while doing the creative stuff on the side is the ultimate to succeeding with your creative endeavour, enjoying life and keeping that roof above your head with far less angst. Thanks again Dr. Peterson ... you should be cloned and integrated into every global education system!

When Peterson expounds on correlations between creativity and conscientiousness, etc, he's thinking about expectation, or expectancy. As we align ourselves with a way of thinking, or a polity, or a philosophy, we find it unsettling when we are confronted with people who don't think and act as we do. As he says, we try to force those opposite to accept that they are mistaken (and that we are not). Shouting them down when they protest is a puerile behavior best left on the playgrounds at recess at grade schools everywhere.

Political correctness is the idea that one's political beliefs are not a matter of opinion, and are incumbent on everyone else--that politics is not subjective. It makes about as much sense as "favorite color correctness".
I'm high in openness and conscientiousness.

i love listening to Dr. Peterson. this segment, though, barely touches on political correctness. it's much more about various differences between trait openness and trait conscientiousness.
Political correctness is about 'belongingness'. Belongingness is based of fear. It's just a manifestation of tribalism that pervades all social strata in every culture.
At last someone understands me. There are some things you just can't help about yourself. Like creativity

Is there a link to this study he mentioned? I felt like he got a little sidetracked and didn't give a solid conclusion. I'd say it was more a talk about how creative traits impact decisions vs consciencous traits.
Aside - I wish I would've had a guy like that as prof when I was in college. (I kept having the urge to raise my hand and ask questions. 🤓)

Caribou, bears and wolves are trying to coexist, and it mostly works... a balance. Then some snakes employ wessals, raccoons, turkey vultures, some bears and lone wolves. They convince the wolves, bears and Caribou, are acting like snakes or wessals against each other. And that they shouldn't listen to the good ideas they have of living in balance with each other. Then once in awhile, the one that sees everything, comes down and attacks whatever the eagle feels like, then takes off. Because it doesn't care, it was born a freaking Eagle.
Then some mice and rats are introduced, they desecrate the land over night.

"WHA!, WHY NOT? They are doing rat and mouse like things."
"It's not that bad. And they are rodents. we do not have a rodent problem. You are bad for saying we do."
"Yeah! " says a snake and wessal, out in the open. Because snakes and wessals are now acceptable in society. Thanks to political correctness.
To change a wicked individual, they must be shown love and compassion, plus they must realize that their actions were wrong. An issue can be solved, but it has to be addressed in an understanding, forgivable with a fully honest view of the situation.
Show the slithering, sneaky, self serving individuals to be honest, prideful of their honorable actions, humility with their negative actions, and to love others for who they are, will truly change that being for the best.
Encouraging, maybe even awarding, the continuing of negative actions, and punishment for those trying to honestly address the situation, definitely isn't a solution. That's political correctness, and it isn't right.

It is because it gets confusing with the original channel to which I am also subscribed. It is not the same to expect a fresh video from Peterson and get an extract of something I have already seen.
I understand you like to upload this kind of content and I had that in mind when I subscribed although the main reason I did is to watch you improve over time.

Raging Bucko If he s not, he should be, Molyneux is as woke as it gets. Not even Peterson is at that level.
Pordan B Jeterson I am a long time Molyneux dveler, I strongly reccomend his early work (1-1500) podcasts and his free books, especially On Truth, RTR and UPB.
You can't argue your way out with Molyneux, that's for sure. But Peterson has this great way of diving deep into metaphysical themes and laying them out in front of us.
